  1. Yes, I went 21 years without a cell phone, from 1984 to 2005. What, you didn't have a cell phone until 2005? Yes, I live in the Ozarks. We're behind the times on everything. Do you listen to the Chainsmokers?
  2. Wait, wait, wait. That post needs to invoke the master:
  3. Oh, okay, cool. I don't read facial expressions well, and I read digital ones worse. I'm in the right hobby.
  4. California's needed the rain badly. I'm glad they're finally getting it.
  5. Done. The content you guys create has meant a lot to me and my family. I'm glad to support you.
  6. I welcome all Japan trip reports and this one's started off great!
  7. They're new restraints, but the ride is awful. Don't bother.
  8. Top Thrill Dragster. The devil you know or the devil you think you know but is only pretending to be your friend?
  9. This is absolutely accurate. Magic Mountain will exceed all properly low expectations.
  10. So that would make this, what, the Target of theme parks?
  11. If you're going for Holiwood Nights, I would definitely recommend going to KK on that Friday. Keep in mind that Holiday World is on Central Time, so if you leave KK by 4:00 PM Eastern, you can get to Holiday World by 4:30 PM Central. 11 to 4 should be plenty of time to do the things that are most important to you. It's more than enough for the dry side of the park, and you'll definitely want to hit at least the highlights of the waterpark. Deep Water Dive is unlike anything Holiday World offers, so it should be a priority. Calypso Run is recommended as well. People speak highly of Deluge, but it was closed when I went, so I can't say from personal experience. The only slide I would recommend to skip is Tornado, since the line tends to be long and Holiday World's is superior. Friday night is Splashin' Safari ERT, so you'll get plenty of time there so don't feel like you have to get everything in at Hurricane Bay. Splashin' Safari is simply the best waterpark I've ever been to, but Hurricane Bay is excellent as well. You really should spend about half your day in the waterpark.
  12. Someone didn't ride in the middle bench of a 3-bench PTC.
  13. Not particularly, but if they're done really well I do. Have you ever read Dostoevsky?
  14. Knott's is basically right next to Disney, so that's logistically the easiest, and the one I personally would pick if I were only able to do one. But it really depends on your group and their interests. If you have small children, then go to Legoland If you have animal lovers, then go to Sea World If you have dark ride or show lovers, go to Universal If you have thrillseekers, go to Magic Mountain If you have people of diverse interests, go to Knott's Hope that helps.
  15. The brakes on the Zamperla Family Gravity coaster are always painful. The ride ops on SDC's Grand Expo Coaster always warn the kids, "Get ready for the biiiiiig stop!" Then comes the loud "oof" from the entire train, especially the parents.
  16. I got it, you guys. Saying it goes 70mph is confirmation they're going to RMC it with a launched lift hill!
  17. What do you consider the worst coaster at KI, just out of curiosity? I woul rank Invertigo and Flying Ace Aerial Chase lower, but I will say that Invertigo is far better than a normal boomerang. Flying Ace Aerial Chase had some rattling that Steel Lasso did not, but otherwise was fun. They don't really have a bad coaster there; just that the bottom few are rather mediocre.
  18. Interesting. It's not the worst coaster at Kings Island, but it is large and certainly unpopular. They don't need to remove any coasters, but I can see them having a lot better uses for the land it's on.
  19. No, I was too busy protesting it. Do you play Pokemon Go?
