  1. Twister, because Knoebels. In or out?
  2. ^ Thunderation doesn't have the backwards cars because Arrow never designed the ride to run backwards. This ride in the video is designed to have seats that run backwards, so it would be entirely different in the eyes of insurance companies. They don't care whether the ride runs backwards. They care whether it's being run as designed.
  3. It is tough to rank, because they have so many good ones. The method I use is to ask myself this: Hypothetically, both of these two coasters are right in front of me, equal distances from where I stand. Both have no line, and the park is about to close. I can only ride one of them. Which one do I choose? That method produces this list for CP: 1. Millennium Force 2. Magnum XL-200 3. Maverick 4. Raptor 5. Top Thrill Dragster 6. Valravn 7. Gatekeeper "And the rest," Gilligan style. Beyond that point, I would pretty much pick at random, and I'd enjoy whatever I'd pick.
  4. Exciting to see this going up. Monster at Adventureland is incredible, and even though this is a smaller version, it could easily be the best coaster on the New Jersey shore.
  5. That's disappointing. Hopefully that means it's staying around for a while. Recent refurbishment is no guarantee that it will, though.
  6. I would recommend going straight to Ollivander's at opening. The shows have a capacity of a dozen or so, very intimate performance. It's very cool, especially if you are a Potter fan. They do one performance right after another all day on that one, so it has a queue like a ride would, and the queue builds quickly. I would then do both the rides in that section. Forbidden Journey has a single rider line, and each car holds 4, so you'll get through fairly quickly as there are bound to be plenty of groups of 3. Even if you're not planning to see shows, at the very least you need to see WaterWorld. It is one of the best theme park shows anywhere, and it may not be around too much longer. Check the schedule, but the first show should be around 10:00 or so. I did Potter and Simpsons and had plenty of time to get to Waterworld. Enjoy--it's a very cool place!
  7. Wow. This is a bit eye-opening. That was my list before going to Disney and Universal. Let me update that just a little bit: Grizzly Falls, Disney California Adventure Timber Mountain Log Ride, Knott's Berry Farm Splash Mountain, Disneyland Jurassic Park, Universal Studios Hollywood Pirates of the Caribbean, Disneyland Haunted Mansion, Disneyland Gobbler Getaway, Holiday World MaxAir, Cedar Point Tower of Terror, Disney California Adventure Any S&S Screamin' Swing
  8. We've had very good stays at the Drury and Hampton Inns at 44 & 141, which is about 10 minutes east of Six Flags. They're both usually around $30 less than the Holiday Inn, so if you have a Six Flags Gold Pass and therefore don't have to pay for parking, I'd recommend one of those two. Holiday Inn's shuttle drops you off right at the entrance, but since you'll be getting there at opening (right? right?) you'll be able to park close anyway.
  9. 3/10 Rarely find anything I need there. If it weren't for the parades, I'd have no use for them at all. Lampreys
  10. Not yet. Have you been to France?
  11. ^ Agreed on all three counts. ^^ Denver > Muskegon, which automatically makes Elitch Gardens better. I seriously doubt anyone's going to Denver just for Elitch Gardens, and if they are, they're missing out on one of our greatest cities.
  12. California's pretty different from the first two, but in a very good way. They really seemed to find their voice with that album, and it's better songcraft too. To adapt your analysis, it's funky, weird, lighter, over-the-top, slightly less immature sh*t.
  13. This is absolutely the best way to describe Mr. Bungle. So glad someone else likes them! My favourite of theirs:
  14. Yes, 3 times. Once to South America and twice to Europe. Do you watch Westworld?
  15. Yes. I was in Cub Scouts! Have you bought a churro this year?
  16. Dark Chocolate Cerulean or vermillion?
  17. Yes. Have you ever been in a boat?
  18. It's not the plan. It's totally not the plan. They'll open it Memorial Day weekend.
  19. Oh you guys. Acting like whether the ride's built by opening day has anything at all to do with whether they'll open it then.
