  1. King - Traveling coaster in France?
  2. Apple products? I wish. I do say I'm quite up-to-date though. A couple weeks ago I got a new Lenovo G505s laptop that runs Windows 8 and has a 1TB hard drive, 8GB of ram, a quad core processor and dual graphics. It's a monster. And I got a Nokia Lumia 1520 two days ago, and now I can sync all my stuff together! Yay! I need that so I can write calendar events in my phone and have them synced to save on my computer.
  3. Way to go Shanghai Disneyland. In other news, guess who has a new freestyle machine in the student center cafe? My university!
  4. This is a really good discussion topic, so thank you to whoever brought it up! I find myself agreeing with most of the members on this thread about the policy. Lately, I've seen Six Flags Over Georgia step up their enforcement policy. Either that or the smokers have suddenly become aware of the rules, and are eager to follow them. I think the first possibility is more likely. So on the location of the smoking areas discussion, any ideas of ways to find better locations for smoking areas that wouldn't discourage smokers from using them?
  5. King, it's really ambiguous as to what they meant. I took it as "completely lifts off of the track and floats above it" as if the train had no upstop wheels at all. But I get where you're going with that. The distance between the wheel assemblies would allow for some lifting off the track and that would allow for some millisecond moments when neither wheel assembly is actually on the track, as well as moments when the upstop wheels are touching the rails and the upper wheels are floating.
  6. At SFOG, I always hear people's excuses for chickening out of DDD because they see that there is no over-the-shoulder support and it has inversions. It would be cool to test how different restraint styles are capable of holding riders in their seats through various maneuvers.
  7. ^Amen sistah! The roll cages make me think of the old vertical lift bobsled coasters. I can imagine both those and this coaster are/were very painful.
  8. Not only do I like the coaster very much, but I also like that Adventure City is going to theme this ride quite effectively!
  9. I really enjoy Chipotle going in one end, but I regret it when it comes out the other end.
  10. I like to water ski and jet ski. Since I live in southwest Georgia, the weather is usually fine for boating in mid-March or so.
  11. What is the deal with people still building wooden roller coasters? I thought they were ruled unsafe because every one of them is so rickety it could kill you. These companies still building them need to be sued for endangering people!
  12. You mean Kentucky Rumbler, right? Because I doubt you're talking about Dragon Wagon or the Zamperla spinning mouse. My fanciful list: Florida: Fire Dragon Georgia: Mindbender Illinois: Batman / namtaB (whatever it's called) Indiana: Voyage Kentucky: Dat Rumbler Missouri: Wildfire Tennessee: Thunderhead Hopefully this year I'll explore parks and credits in other states.
  13. Two years ago, I got my license, and my temporary vehicle was a 1971 Mercury Cougar, same color as the one pictured below. Man, I loved that thing! I only had it for a couple of months though. But imagine pulling into the parking lot in high school in something like this: Now I drive any of the three cars (depending on which one my parents don't drive) 2005 Honda Civic Sedan, complete with two loose bumpers and crappy window tint 2000 Infiniti G20 with all the bells and whistles that make Infiniti fancy 2002 Honda Accord Sedan V6 Vtec 3.0L that hauls @$$ (200hp!) And hopefully, I get to drive this 1969 Mustang Mach 1 when it comes back from the shop (if it's not sold first): Also, I forgot to add....100th post! 50 more and I can get a title!
  14. I haven't been to any shoots, but I hope that some RMC coasters are on the show.
  15. OzIris - Parc Asterix
  16. I got a ring on a bottle at the ring toss under Goliath at SFOG! There weren't any giant-ass pandas, so I had to settle for this.
  17. All the Batman clones have very violent Zero-G-Rolls and corkscrews that may be near the top of the list for inversion speed.
  18. That's some cool stuff you got there. My inner geek is very satisfied by these pictures.
  19. I haven't majorly injured anything, but I have foot joint issues. I can't tell you how many times I've had to pop a dislocated toe joint back into place. My favorite memory of that is after riding Batman at SFOG. Had two dislocated toe joints after getting off, in the same foot.
  20. Nemesis Inferno - Thorpe Park
  21. I posted on here earlier about buying new mouthpieces, well, Schilke doesn't make french horns, but I just bought one today! I'm so excited to finally have my own (I've been borrowing from school since I began playing in 5th grade). It's also a one-of-a-kind instrument. It used to be a heavily-manufactured horn, and it was made in 1970, but it received a facelift a couple years ago and turned into a monster. I love it, and it makes me happy. The end. (I'll post a picture of it soon)
  22. Thanks! I'm dumb sometimes.
  23. I am just impressed by Helix and the work done to incorporate it into the hillside. It interacts with other rides well, especially Lisebergbanana.
  24. I remember catching a fish like that in Animal Crossing! So...is that fish really that large compared to the diver or is that just just perspective messing with me? I'm a fan of the whale sharks at the Georgia Aquarium
  25. I'm very impressed with this park! At first, I was worried that this was going to be a big project that generated little attendance like the knock-off Disney parks. But it appears as if this park won't have attendance issues for a while. Also, the queues have to be some of the best themed I've seen. And FOTR has one of the coolest station buildings! I can't wait to see more of what Mack can do.
