  1. Ahh!! I've had that top-hat idea for ages. I knew it would work!
  2. A bobsled and Mine train automatically disqualifies it for "worst". They may not be your preference, but there are other parks that have next to nothing to offer.
  3. I submit Mt. Olympus Water & Theme Park. Their coasters actually look good. However, I've heard a lot of enthusiasts say they are lackluster and beyond-repair painful.
  4. Oh. That makes sense, I thought It was odd to not use the short trains to their advantage. From all the POVs I've watched, the train always stopped outside the station. I was referring to a true dual station, like this; Link
  5. ^ I don't believe any of the dive coasters have dual stations. I've only known them being on some flying coaster models.
  6. I'm sure the radius will appropriated for the rolling stock, but I still agree. These trains are wide, not long, so the loading/unloading process shouldn't be too long. I wonder if they'll try a Maverick/TTD style station system? Expect the front is load and the back is unload. I'm starting to suspect a flyer at this point.
  7. Another great update. It's interesting that the park plans to add three thrill rides back-to-back. Hurricane is definitely a step in the right direction as it isn't too intimidating, yet has some thrill factor to it. I'm also surprised that Junior Serpent is bringing in the customers. Could this mean more family additions in the future?
  8. How is this even a comparison? Millennium Force though....
  9. Shockwave is being retired because of it being way past its prime. CF knows stand-ups are infamous, hence the Mantis transformation and other (rumored) transformations. Every post-paramount park received a B&M hyper. Which was Kinzel's master plan to bring a hyper to every park due to it being a raging success at CP in 1989. Anyways, every post-paramount park since then has received another large investments coaster-wise. Canada's Wonderland received Behemoth ($22m) in 2008, and Leviathan ($28m) in 2012. Kings Island received Diamondback ($22m) in 2009, and Banshee ($24m) in 2014. Carowinds saw Intimidator ($23m) in 2010, and Fury 325 ($30m) in 2015. Kings Dominion saw Intimidaor 305 in 2010. And by the look of things, Kings Dominion is pouring most of its resources into expanding their waterpark and are even retiring a roller coaster to do so. Valleyfair is the other CF park that seems to be focusing on water more than rides. Not saying a new coaster is impossible, because it is inevitable. KD doesn't seem to be anywhere on a priority list for one.
  10. I enjoy Mean Streak. Even though during my last visit the crew was God-awful.
  11. Good luck getting the GP's attention with that type of marketing. They'll probably think it's a car. I'm still waiting for a topper-track only conversion.
  12. It must be those world's slowest lifts. Maybe these things are designed to drag through their courses? A topper track only conversion of the two would be amazing indeed.
  13. I think the 'flaws" help with the overall aesthetics, and create an even more authentic weathered look.
  14. Every roller coaster, including clones, are custom built for their customers. If they want a terrain Giga-coaster, they'll get terrain Giga-coaster. There is literally no reason why this couldn't happen.
  15. The current record holders are as follows Tallest - Diving Coaster, 213.3' Fastest - Diving Coaster, est. 70mph+ Longest - Dive Coaster, 3218.5' Tallest Drop - Diving Coaster, est. 208.3' Tallest Roller Coaster to feature inversions - Eejanaika, 249.3' With the addition of Raptor, Mantis & GateKeeper, which have all upped the ante on their respective models by roughly 25%, we could see something along the lines of; 250'+ tall 75 mph fast 3500' long 245' drop (realistically, just add a few meters to the height & drop, and maybe 50-100m in track length) This is just over-bloated enthusiasts estimation, of course.
  16. So reading 'between the lines' on Quimet's statement I interpret it as; 'If you build new attractions people show up to check them out.'. Weird. Funny how that works out. What are you getting at? It's a press release. Anyways, good money says it's a haunt building being built. Also, what is "Dinoslaughter?"
  17. Baron 1898 has the two rows of seven formation, and has an hourly theoretical capacity of 1000. Griffon has the three rows of ten formation, and has a theoretical hourly capacity of 1400. B&M''s always have high capacity so you shouldn't worry about that at all.
  18. ^ It does state History will be made, not being brought back. Moot point regardless. Something that specific is more fitted for post-announcement details.
  19. I saw stars. Something high up I presume.
  20. Parts have fallen off the ride on more than one occasion. That's quite significant, and much more than a height issue. Link
  21. I'll be honest... A year ago, I would have been completely on board with this! But now, I'm not so sure... I think the smiler was a freak thing. The coaster is plagued with issues.
  22. ^^Anything higher than the trees would give great lakefront views. 100' approx. After everything that has happened over only two years with Smiler? No.
  23. ^Perhaps Gerstlauer would be better suited for something like that.
