  1. That or a redoing of the Gemini midway, the whole area looks like it is stuck in the 1970s.
  2. ^ I wish Vortex was those colors again, the current paint scheme looks awful.
  3. I think The Swarm at Thorpe Park also has the roar. That is now outdated, there was a construction tour on here in October were they said Gatekeeper would NOT have sand filled supports.
  4. ^ Some companies DO sell their prototypes to parks (ie Motorcoaster at Derien Lake is the Zamperla Motorcoaster prototype that was built and tested at the factory in Italy) this isn't true for most coasters however.
  5. The Zero G Roll looks smaller than I thought it would be (Hopefully that means more forces ). The entrance is going to looks sweet with Gatekeeper going above it (WAY better than the 1980s entrance).
  6. ^ Yup, RCT3 without the Atari BullS*** and a No Limits like coaster editor is what they are going for. I hope we will also be able to make custom track pieces (ie the Thirteen/Polar X-Plorer/Verboten drop section or the possible Smiler washing machine).
  7. ^ When I was in the UK I went to Thorpe Park and rode Saw and still found it to be pretty good (WAY better then Fahrenheit) so even if this ride has OTSR it's not the end of the world. However it will be 10x better with lapbars and I think it would have them due to Gerstlauers very recent additions all having lapbars.
  8. Thank god that ugly dome is finally gone! Can't wait to ride this later this years, if they're half as good as Knoebels I think The Great Escape has a winner on their hands.
  9. Skyrush at Hersheypark for me, the airtime on it is unlike anything I've every experienced before and it's my number one coaster.
  10. Nice pictures, BTW, did you see any of the infamous B&M Trim Holes on the airtime hill or before it? If you don't know what I'm talking about:
  11. ^ Spring Break or if you can, any weekend in September before Fright Fest starts, that is the most dead I've ever seen the park.
  12. I have two home parks, The Great Escape and SFNE so Ill list both. TGE: The Comet, all the other coasters there are Vekoma or Arrow monsters. SFNE: Bizzaro (wonderful airtime filled layout. )
  13. This is going to be one of the greatest coasters drops ever!
  14. Hmmm I didn't know Premier Parks offered a Dinning Pass back in the early 2000s!
  15. Steel: ALL of Skyrushs hills, Magnum XL 200s return bunny hops and hill right before the turnaround. Wood: El Toros first two hills and the Rolling Thunder hill, The Pheonixs ending bunny hops (you FLY out of that seat due to those Buzz Bars! )
  16. ^ I'm pretty sure there will be, after all, some people can't model (I'm one of them ). Also the coaster building will be a little harder then RCT3 but it won't be as complex as No Limits (it's in the middle between the two).
  17. ^ In the video a couple pages back it said that the Iron Rattler would be using trains from Gerstlauer just like NTAG but without the windows.
  18. Nice report, Ocean Park has one of the most beautiful settings for a amusement park ever. Also I was wondering WHY the Mine Train has the dome supports for the helix, it is the ONLY coaster out there with this dome.
  19. Honestly it is people like Ed that are making me want to move to Europe or a western Asian country (Japan, South Korea, Singapore, ect) because its not about guest privacy it's about $$$$$$! His paper is full of a bunch of malarky, but what can we expect from the same guy who tried to impose the Roller Coaster G-Force limit (they already do, it's called the human body ). If this idiot EVER get nominated for president DO NOT VOTE FOR HIM!
  20. I wouldn't include Rocky Mountain yet as they have yet to open Outlaw Run and NTAG isn't exactly a wood coaster. I'm torn between Intamin and TGG, both provide excellent rides that produce a ton of airtime. However I like the TGG innovations (High 5, Zero-G Roll on a wooden coaster, 90* Turns on a wooden coaster, that new crazy Double Down on the new Chinese coaster, ect) which puts them above Intamin IMO.
  21. ^ Yup I remember this too, when we stayed in our nice apartment in downtown shanghai we could see the wonderful skyscrapers and below was a cabbage market that would come out everyday and a rundown supermarket!
  22. ^ Yep you are right, the cities on the mainland are still behind western standards and have lots of poor areas but things are slowly but surely improving (China is going through what we did during our Industrial Revolution in a way). What I mean by almost up to western standards is the downtown areas, NOT the suberbs, the suberbs are still WAY behind but they are beginning to improve.
  23. ^ The Knock offs are true (they knock off EVERYTHING and they are getting better at it), but I wouldn't worry about the Chinese culture, the Chinese are very nice people and the country is rapidly changing (the cities are almost up to western standards and cities like Hong Kong are already there). However the food there is very odd (starfish on a stick anyone?) and there is still a lot of poverty in the country side. Anyways, back to Ocean Kingdom, I think it's great to see Chimelong expand as they are one of the best parks in China and to see them following the concept art for once.
