  1. Pretty good shots inside the B&M Plant considering they were very limited due to B&Ms protection over their manufacturing methods. Gatekeeper is looking better and better and I hope it can deliver a level of intensity similar to the new B&Ms in China.
  2. I'm surprised no one mentioned Veil of Dark at Tokyo Joypolis, after all it is the only inverting spinning coaster!
  3. ^ That actually isn't too bad for a GP as the Whizzer and Jet Star 2 are made by the same manufacturer, have very similar trains and track style, and also both have spiral lift. At least he didn't say they were exactly the same ride. In fact the only bad thing about the comment is the spelling errors (and we already see plenty of those )
  4. ^ The Swarm at Thrope Park has a Inclined Loop as well: Another unique element is Blue Fires odd over bank turn:
  5. It sounds like you don't have your priorities in order. Knoebels trumps those other parks. This man speaks the truth... you have to Experience Knoebels to understand but this park is a slice of Americana and is a great combination of old and new. Besides El Toro I would consider Phoenix the best coaster in the Northeast (I used to love Bizarro at SFNE and it's still a good ride but for some reason it's just not what it used to be) but this park isn't even about the coasters. It's about the awesome, old, unique flat rides, the common flat rides that have better programs and longer cycles than you'll find anywhere else, the old-school (award winning) dark rides, the great food, the theme park history museums and just the overall experience. Knoebels is one of a kind. It is also one of the few American Parks that has kept it's charm and is free of government red tape. It is really amazing how it still operates the way it does (no gates or seat belts on the coasters [especially the Phoenix with its extreme airtime and buzz bars]) as it just looks like a lawyers playground.
  6. I always wondered where RCT3 got the figure 8 inversion from (odd they put it on the hyper track instead of the Schwarzkopf Looping coaster track now that I know this is a Schwarzkopf design).
  7. I think that we can just include ANYTHING made by Pax, they are CRAZY! WTF IS THIS?! The only Kiddie Coaster with ejector airtime! Yet another ride from RCT3 that actually exists.... Weirdest lift hill ever..... EDIT: I found a good POV of Cobra at Coney Land (the first one).
  8. Great news! I've never ridden a ARM Drop Tower so I can't wait to get down to Knoebels in May to ride this one!
  9. Projekt Helix at Liseberg will be the only other coaster to feature a Pretzel Knot (Moonsault Scramble is the other) Moonsault Scrambles Pretzel Knot Projekt Helix Layout.
  10. Nice report! Glad to see that the Schwarzkopf Speed Racer still lives down here (as there is only two). I'm also glad to see it got a paint job as it looked really worn judging by pictures on RCDB.
  11. The Norwegian Loop is pretty unique (only on Speed Monster & Fahrenheit) and the outside turns on El Locos. Norwegian Loop Outside turns on El Locos
  12. ^ Speaking of which I'm surprised how Knoebels is still allowed to run the way it is knowing Americans.... Anyways, VERY happy that this ruled out the way it did, now lets get this national.
  13. Even though it is awesome and my number one, Skyrush really did make me think I was going to fall out (those forces coming out of the Stengel/over bank dive bent my back very far left).
  14. ^ Cool! TPS is looking more and more like an improved RCT3 everyday! Can't wait for the release!
  15. I don't know why but I just realized that Dinoconda at China Dinosaurs Park is pretty odd considering you have two family coasters (knockoff Golden Horse Spinning Coaster and a Zamperla Motor Coaster) and then you have one of the most thrilling coaster designs ever made.
  16. Gatekeeper is looking wonderful! That hill looks WAY better then I thought it would (looks like it may produce some decent airtime if there is no trim! )
  17. Scream at SFMM, it is STILL the only coaster built completely over a parking lot.
  18. For the normal person (GP) it would be TONS of Inversions (7 or more) or something that is first of its kind or a record breaker (X2 and Kingda Ka). For a Coaster Enthusiast it would be EXTREME ejector airtime (Skyrush or Megalite) or EXTREME Positive Gs on looping coasters (Katun or Kumba) or even a mixture (Maverick).
  19. That extra bracing was put there after it was discovered that if they didn't the top of the loops would need to be re welded often, they didn't oringally come with that extra bracing. Picture of the Great American Scream Machine before and after this transformation: You can also still see one of the original top of the loop track pieces in the safari being used as a play structure for the monkeys:
  20. I'm also very glad they are redoing the gate as the old one just screamed 1980s. The next area that REALLY needs to be done is the Gemini Midway as it is dated and ugly (asphalt in a world class amusement park?!).
