  1. Bubble wond sports or internet research (including rides)?
  2. Ganted, but then it wouldn't be as cool I wish I had a giga in my back yard
  3. Yes...Coaster riding season! Are you riding one of the new for 2013 rides?
  4. Well, I just picked up COD4 yesterday, and seemed to like it. I don't really play campaign in these kind of games, so Ill tell you what I think of the MP First of all, with the comment above about hackers, I haven't encountered any as of yet. As for the popularity of the game, and its "staying power", or how good it is.. it only took me about 30 seconds at most to get into a game. In terms of the game itself, I believe it is one of the most challenging COD games I've played, with Black Ops 2 being the easiest, and the other MW games I own being significantly harder to play (Don't own BO1 or WAW). However, in COD4, it's harder for a different reason... while mw2 is hard to get kills due to people camping for high streaks/using OP weapons, and mw3 is just overly complicated (at least more complicated than a simple arcade shooter like COD should be) and completely f***ed up, COD4 seems to just take more skill to play. Unlike other, newer CODs, COD4 seems to be simple, with no extremely high, overpowered streaks, discouraging camping. The maps also seem to be better designed, and prevent headglithcing/camping. Finally, there doesn't seem to be as many OP weapons, and the class system seems to be built in a way that discourages OP combos of weapons. For example, you cannot use a n00btube and an RPG in the same class. Well, I guess cod4 shows that simpler is sometimes better, and overall, the game seems to be the best made COD out there, like many have said. I am very glad I purchased the game.
  5. Then we would fly instead of walk What if all Disney parks shut down?
  6. 10/10... pretty awesome username still... & ya, I pretty much know nothing about Disney... I'm more into the CF and SF parks, or any other park with larger, more intense rides such as Alton Towers. Disney's never really been big for me, as I'll take a good quality (intense, well-made) ride over fancy themeing at the cost of ride intensity/quality (I understand that Disney doesn't make their rides bad to theme them, but still, you can't argue that they focus more on themeing). PS: Are you actually 12 like it says under your avatar?... if so, you know a lot more about ride than I did @ that age... You must've been researching this stuff for a long time.
  7. ^ Well, it seems to be the same with my home park of Canada's Wonderland, where the front row on our SLC isn't half bad. On another note, I've also learned that La Ronde has a slingshot (reverse bungee ride). I'm pretty pumped to ride it, but if anybody's done it before (or a similar ride), it would be great to know if it's worth the upcharge.
  8. Well, if the ride is anything like it's supposed to be, it will be absolutely INSANE... To give some perspective, the ride below was pretty crazy, and it was only about half the size (guessing this will be at least 150ft tall and the ride in the picture below is only 100ft), and the ride didn't even drop the whole way down the tower (it's a series of small drops.
  9. ^ I know this is a bit off topic, but with the traveling rides being so huge in Germany, do they still have the sketchy reputation that they would get in Canada or the States?
  10. Sadly, as I live In Canada, my trips usually consist of 1-3 parks a year, and MANY trips to ride the more intense rides at the fair when it's in town. This year, I'm planning to go to La Ronde, possibly Canada's Wonderland, and although very unlikely, maybe Darian Lake.
  11. Again, hearing all these amazing things about B:TR, I'm EXTREMELY pumped for my trip to La Ronde, which has a B:TR mirror clone. As I've said before, i like my rides really intense, and this sounds amazing, as it seems like a smooth and intense ride. Although I haven't rode it, I've heard that the slingshot (reverse bungee) rides) are extremely intense, and from what I understand, La Ronde also owns one. Has anybody been on one of these, and if so, how was it?
  12. Why are so many people complaining about trolling?... I've looked, back, and don't see any troll posts.. just people complaining about trolling. Have they been deleted?
  13. ^ So, if it's not all wood (@ least in the inversion), what is steel?...the supports or the track?
  14. 4/10... sorry, idk what it's supposed to mean... is it a name? a referance to a ride?...WHAT????!!!!!????????????
  15. I'm wondering. Out of the three looping "woodies", is this the only one out of the three that is a "true" all wood coaster?
  16. ^ I'm too much of a P***y to ride skycoasters, so my excuse is that I don't count it as a flat-ride or coaster, so technically, by MY standards, it's not an amusement ride lol
  17. Wish they'd get more launchers up here in Canada... as of now, the only one we have is an Italian Job clone, which actually isn't half bad (I can't even imagine the intensity and awesomeness of a bigger launcher )
  18. I've heard COD4 is quite good compared to the other games in the franchise, and am wondering why. I've been considering buying it (even though I've got MW2/3 and BO2) after a friend recommended it to me. So, has anybody played it, and if so, why is it so good and why should/shouldn't I get it?
  19. ^ Thank you very much.. so pumped to go now!
  20. You know the ops @ a park/midway on a first name basis
  21. 1. Skyrider: (Togo standup... Only ride I've ever grayed on, & the airtime is crazy too.. Also on the trick track, if you're in the front left, you feel like you'll hit the fence next to the path, & the last bunny hops before the breaks get you by surprise. Added bonus, the ride is only rough in the corners, which is pretty amazing for a Togo that's been around for nearly 30 years) 2. Drop Zone: (Intamin Senond gen Freefall...only ride that still scares me a bit) 3. Chance Zipper (Run by World's Finest Shows): With the right op at the controls, this ride probably pulls about 5G, & also has some crazy ejector air. Also some crazy moments pinned against the door while being flung toward the ground, preying the deadbolt holds) 4. Mindbender (West Ed. mall): (Shocked that I didn't grey on this, & also a bit disappointed w/ the lack of airtime, but still a crazy ride) 5. L306 (Leviathan): (The first drop is crazy, & about halfway down, you feel like you've reached terminal velocity... But you just keep going! ) It will be interesting to see how Vampire at La Ronde ranks against the bad boys listed above after my La Ronde trip this summer. I hear BTR clones are very intense.
  22. Expect the Batman clone to crap all over the SLC. Sure, SLC's have some alright forces, but B&M inverts, especially Batman clones, are much more forceful while at the same time being perfectly smooth. YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! N... **REALLY** want to ride it now! PS: the forces compairable to a Schwarzkopf looper (Ex. Mindbender @ Galaxyland, Esmonton)
  23. Well Inow I think about it, the mine buster would orobably have a better chance if getting re built by RMC, due to the fact that it is the most famous woodie in the park, & RMC seems to be rebuilding iconic woodies that have aged poorly. As for the wing rider or dive machine, I'd probably take a dive coaster over the wing rider due to the fact that I like my rides intense (Behemoth & leviathan... Ak L306... arre actually second to thevintamin free fall due to the fact that drop zone's more intense) Another idea... Since CW seems to be turning into a testing ground for B&M (which isn't a bad thing ), maybe well see another prototype...Another crack @ launchers maybe? Could also see a b&m invert getting built, taking out flight deck & time warp to be built. It would also be fitting to have one go in that spot because of the whole story behind flight deck was that @ the time it was built, paramount had to change their plans from a b&m to an slc (think it was like the second Slc to be built in the world), after Cedar Point built raptor the year before, & made a contract with b&m not to build any inverts in any states/provinces bordering them for the first 5 years raptor was open or something like that. Now that CF owns CW, it would almost like they're giving back what they stole from CW. Justus two cents
  24. Do you hav a vid of the first ride? It's hard to tell what it does
  25. ^ Always wondered... Does anyone think the mind eraser name was given to the SF rides as a kind of pun?... Almost like they knew they'd be rough?
