^ That would be pretty awesome having a yearly update type show... maybe it could go on Discovery (they've had some interesting ride shows int he past) On another note, I've heard people talking about the Master Blaster slide in Kansas that was featured on the show, and would love to see the rendering that somone had said they'd managed to get a hold of. If somebody hasn't already psted it, it would be greatly appreciated if they did, or maybe smoebody could point me in the right direction as to where to find the rendering or where i can watch the episode. Thanks, ultradude306

No... Although I'd love one here in North America, I believe the GP in the USA (and the ones up here in Canada), are too focused on "bigger is better", & would not see the point of a mega lite, as many GP (at least that I know) only care if the ride is big and if it inverts/has loops, not paying attention to g-forces/airtime/quallity of the ride. It's like the COD games... People but the games, even if they've been going downhill for the last few years, as they don't pay attention to detail and buy into the hype. That being said, and my rant asside, I'd love to see a mega lite come to a park on this side of the pond... I just don't think it's likely. If it will go anywhere, I actually could see the most likely scenario playing out to be a custom installation at a larger indoor park that could afford such a ride. This brings me to my own question. Do you think a mega lite should be attempted at an indoor park?

Then Canada's Wonderland, the closest major park I believe, would get a new coaster sooner, as the GP would flock to CW, helping them pay off Leviathan faster than they expected! What if a Call of Duty themed coaster/flat ride was built?
-
Then I would be happy, as they would be stillnmakingvstandups, which I have actually enjoyed quite a bit, @ least the one at my home park, Canada's Wonderland. The ride actually offers some amazing airtime & intense positive Gs without being too rough, considering its a 28 year old TOGO. What if Chance made a more intense, modernized, bigger, better more bad@$$ version of the zipper that would be good for carnivals, but also parks... So good, it could compete with other great park flats such as giantvfrisbees & intamin free fall towers (2nd/3rd gen)?

^Ya... they keep adding RMC coasters downn in Texas, they should Change it from the Lonestar Staye to the Hybrid State lol EDIT: What the F*** ... Darn Audi correct, I meant to say "hybrid" state EDIT: IDK... I give up lol

S&S or Intamin
ultradude306 replied to coastercrazy216's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I've enjoyed the S&S doubleshots, which provide MASSIVE airtime on the first launch upward/downward, but I personally Prefer the Intamin towers... the freefall seems alot more forceful, and they're the only ride that I still get a little nervous on... I also grew up with Canada's Wonderland being my home park, and at the time, the intamin drop tower was the biggest, most intimidating (or should I say "intaminidating" ) ride there, along with the SLC... Guess that's why to this day, whenever I look at an intamin tower, or SLC, it just seems REALLY menacing. -
^ Me neither.... Although I sometimes feel like I'd always want to stay connected, and also play forever, I've got a *real* life to take care of, and other things I wan to do...Like ride coasters! On another note... BF3 Vs. COD (I like both)... You're thoughts???
-
Yes, and furthermore, they should try the inverted drop on other ride types Do you like intamin free fall towers? (Second/third gen)

Alton Towers Discussion Thread
ultradude306 replied to Ed's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Well, not saying this is what happened, but somebody mentioned something about a wheel assembly breaking loose, causing it to valley. Although this is very unlikely, as they have stated, it HAS happened... Just look at the Mindbender in Edmonton... that exact scenario took place. -
^No, Northern Ontario.

Game: Careful What You Wish For
ultradude306 replied to MayTheGForceBeWithYou's topic in Random, Random, Random
Granted, but it would be a huge letdown and you'd hate SF because of it! I wish I owned an intamin free fall tower in my backyard that I could ride whenever I wanted, and had an amazing staff to maintain it so it wouldn't suffer from downtime. -
There would be a lot of GP (and some enthusiasts) getting sick lol What if CP shut down?

Game: Careful What You Wish For
ultradude306 replied to MayTheGForceBeWithYou's topic in Random, Random, Random
Granted, but the park would suck, essentially acting as an advertisement/giant billboard for their other parks. I wish Canada had more intamin second/third gen free fall towers -
^ Ontario .. Consider wonderland my home park even tho I'm a few hours away... & yes, I'm lookin forward 2 la Vampire

Game: Careful What You Wish For
ultradude306 replied to MayTheGForceBeWithYou's topic in Random, Random, Random
Granted, but then there would be another accident (completely unrelated to the fact that the ride was run backwards), a few months after the switch... This would cause the go to freak out, thinking it had something to do with the backwards trains, and the park woul have to switch the trains around in order to keep customers feeling safe and stat in business. I wish B&M made a strata coaster. -
We'd all go over to Europe to ride the intin non-launched inverts. What if B&M built a strata coaster?

Jump off KdK WOuld you rather Have an MF clone in your home park, or a Leviathan clone in your home park?

Woooow, it literally took me like 10 mins to realize this is the "rate the SIGNATURE above you" post and not the "rate the USERNAME above you". For a few moments I was like "huh? what does my ride list have to do with my name?". Opps. Anyways,Thanks! I still have yet to write reports about Dorney and Great Adventure (which I went to for the first time a few weeks ago), but I'll get around to it sometime hopefully sooner than later. I hope to get to more parks in the near future. I love living in Canada, but the lack of parks here (or even near by) sucks. But hey, at least I live decently close (2hrs drive) to Canada's Wonderland. Darian Lake is 3hrs, Cedar Point is 5hrs and they just get farther from there unfortunately. Funny, I go to Hershey Park the same, if not more, than Canada's Wonderland even though it is way farther. I have one more semester of college (I'm studying travel & tourism actually, lol) and then I want to travel a lot, so I hope to get some crossed off my list! My list is much longer than that, but I didn't want to spam the boards with a massive signature every time I post, haha. Same here... Canada sucks in the ride department.. Hell, I even get desperate enough to go to every traveling fair/carnival in my area if there are larger rides lol. But ya, hopefully I'll head to la ronde this summer in Quebec... Should be interesting, as they have some nice B&Ms, a duelling woodie, & one of those awesome looking slingshot rides that are supposed to pull like 6G on the launch (made by Funtime I believe)... If I ride the slingshot, that will possibly beat the record for most forcefull ride I have been on (most Gs... Currently tie between Edmonton Mindbender & World's Finest Shows Chance Zipper w/ an amazing opp running the H E double hockey sticks outa the ride)

6/10 Guess it's ok, but it's not all too big and bold. Stil awesome to hear about all the rides u wanna conquer, & I wish u luck! . U think you'll make a trip report/review when u've rode them?

Then tony hawks big spin would get re themed to MJ's big dunk, with a really poorly done space jam themed land added to the parks w/ the TH big spin re themes. What if every coaster in the world stopped working for 10 years except for kiddie coasters and SLCs?
-
Let's face it... I'm 1 of the only users on TPR, at least to my knowledge, who has made their own logo... ON A PHONE. The epicness of that is just too much to handle, therefore my logo destroys the picture above. It'll be interesting to see what mighty force can destroy my epic picture.

Joker retheme The smiler turning out to be really rough, painful, and boring, with the rest of Alton Towers' new coasters being huge th13teen-esque let downs? OR All3 next gen looping woodies (SOB was gen 1) breaking down & looping woodies not attempted for another 10 years?
-
^ I just asked that question... But anyway, yes I think they should. Should more people consider becoming coaster enthusiasts?

How did you get your screen name?

306 as in 306 feet? The height of Leviathan? FINALLY... I'm surprised nobody got it sooner
