  1. I am pretty happy with the results this year. The only thing I don't agree with is Storm Runner's spot. I still believe it is a top 15 coaster in the world. It's my favorite steel, but even so it did pretty well.
  2. I don't see why everyone bashes Hurler. I rode in the morning of a VERY hot summer day in June two years ago. I really didn't notice any bad rough spots on the ride. It had a very good wood coaster feeling to it, but it was not uncomfortable in anyway. Not only was it not rough, it had airtime all over it and some good length. IMO it is a very good coaster.

  4. A front row ride on Storm Runner at night on 11/2. This is officially my last ride until April of next year.
  5. My last ride of the year at Dorney was Talon on 10/31. Last ride will be at Hershey 11/2.
  6. I was looking at ONPOINT, Cedar Point's blog and they have a few pictures of Top Thrill Dragster stalling for the second time with riders. This time it was only 4 riders, but it is still very unbelievable. http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/fun/blog/index.cfm?entry=48a5a061-f8d7-4e18-b733-8eaec1685b30
  7. This is awesome! I can't wait till a park buys one of these coasters!!
  8. I really enjoy the coasters from the 2000's. 6 coasters in my top 10 are from the 2000's.
  9. I sure hope they did not mess up any calculations, but I'm sure it's just an allusion.
  10. Here is a list of all the current LSM coasters built by Intamin according to RCDB. Atlantis Adventure- Lotte World, South Korea Avatar Airbender- Nickelodeon Universe, Minnesota Half Pipe- Chimelong Paradise, China Half Pipe- Elitch Gardens, Colorado Half Pipe- Sarkanniemi Amusement Park, Finland Maverick- Cedar Point, Ohio Superman The Escape- Six FLags Magic Mountain, California Surfrider- Wet'n'Wild Water World, Australia Tower of Terror- Dreamworld, Australia California Screaming was listed as a LIM so I did not include it, and some of the half pipe coasters didn't have LSM listed but I'm almost positive they utilize LSMs.
  11. ^ I'm also taking physics right now and I have the same book! I'm taking the class for the same reason you did.
  12. I rode Voodoo at Dorney Park Sunday night. My friend and I were the only two people on the last train of the night. Also, EVERY coaster was flying through their coarses. Steel Force had strong ejector air on every bunny hop. Unfortunately Laser was closed, so don't expect any more rides on it.
  13. ^^That is actually a really great concept! I would love to see that in the future. Great progress so far on Diamondback, it's starting to shape up.
  14. ^Just to inform you, the park is not open next weekend. It opens the following weekend. The event starts on the 17th.
  15. Well I personally think this is pretty great news. I'm looking forward to getting a few more rides on it during the later part of this month. I need to ride it a couple more times to get a good feeling for the coaster.
  16. That hill is just screaming airtime. I cannot wait!
  17. Great report, it sounds like you had a similar day to what I had on Sunday. It didn't rain at all the whole day except one 20 minute drizzle. I got the last set of trains on Kingda Ka in the rain. It hurt pretty bad. Everything was running one train except kingda ka (2), Skull Mountain (2), and Nitro later in the day also had 2. It was a GREAT day with nothing more than a station wait.
  18. I have only been on Hydra and Medusa (SFGADV) so it's a pretty easy choice. Medusa is everything Hydra wishes it was. The only thing Hydra has on Medusa is the first drop and jojo roll.
  19. - Hypersonic XLC's brake run - Great Bear - Medusa - Voodoo
  20. WHAT?! Wow, I really hope there is a small crowd on Sunday cause I could ride Toro all day long!
  21. Was El Toro running? I'm going on Sunday and it's supposed to rain, but I'm hoping it will keep the crowds away.
  22. ^That is exactly how I feel about this ride. With being on Nitro and Apollo's Chariot, I know what to expect. I also hear the new trains are much better than the old ones, so I am expecting a really great ride.
  23. I am still wondering if it's going to be similar to Maverick. It might have a 164 foot "launched lift hill" and then feature a 60 mph launch at some point afterwards.
  24. Big Mike I am so jealous of you being at the Yankees game you have no idea! I went the sunday before the last game and they won 8-4. It was a great game, but I wish I could have been to that last game.
