  1. The last Saturday in September last year Kingda Ka was running all 4 trains and it was a 2 train wait for every row and 5 train wait for front row.
  2. Well I don't considered Steel Hawg's drop as an inversion. An inversion too me it being completely upsidedown. This is why I think Hydra should only be considered to have 6 inversions. The inclinded dive loop is just a overbanked turn. ^I am just wondering, what exactly is a JR immelmann?
  3. For me it has to be El Toro. Toro is my all time favorite roller coaster just for so many reasons. The best first drop I have experienced, the abundance of ejector airtime on all the hills, and a long and smooth ride. Right behind El Toro is Nitro because of it's amazing first drop and awesome floater airtime. Kingda Ka comes in third at the park because of the amazing launch and overall intense coaster. 1. El Toro 2. Nitro 3. Kingda Ka 4. Medusa 5. Batman the Ride
  4. I also noticed that Storm Runner was FLYING over the top hat on my visit this summer. It was going over with much greater speed than previous years resulting in even more powerful ejector airtime.
  5. I really want to get out to Knott's just to ride Xcelerator. That coaster look like so much fun! Great photo's of the park. It's a shame it's not as good as people make it out to be.
  6. Great photos and trip report so far! The trip your taking sounds like an awesome one. I wish I could go on something like that. I can't wait to see the rest of the report.
  7. Awesome pictures of Dominator! They really make me want to get back to Kings Dominion.
  8. I was saying how Cedar Fair wouldn't want to have customers leave their flagship park. I knew Kings Island had great attendance but I didn't know it was that high.
  9. It's $3.74 currently where I live.
  10. ^Yes I realize there are alot of coasters more intense than Kingda Ka but there is nothing boring about a 128 mph launch.
  11. Thanks you SO much for this information! I greatly appreciate it! Well my plans are in a very early stage, but I would be planning on going on a monday of the second or third week of June. At this point I would probably be able to get an hour or two in before the park closes on sunday night. Then the next day I would probably stay until about 4 or 5 to head up to Cedar point. The Sunday night I would ride Diamondback and Beast and the next day I would get all the credits and a couple rerides on Diamondback and Beast. Would that be a probable plan?
  12. If they build a strata coaster that could pull attendance away from Cedar Point. Cedar Fair would not want to risk that as Cedar Point is their flagship park. Diamondback was a VERY smart choice for Kings Island.
  13. Those are probably the BEST pictures I have seen of Kings Island. Great job! I am trying to save up for a trip out there next summer and these pictures make me want to visit this park even more. Diamondback also doesn't hurt the cause. I would just like a little bit of help. How would you go around the park to hit every coaster and Drop Zone during one day? Is it possible? Thanks in advance!
  14. I'm just wondering, how can you say Kingda Ka is boring? You go 128 mph! I can't see how that is boring at all!
  15. That's a shame. How long was the line? I guess it's just because Storm Runner is my favorite coaster that I don't understand how you didn't ride it.
  16. Hey great photo trip report! I'm glad you got to ride El Toro. One question, where is the love for Storm Runner?
  17. In PA I believe everyone under 18 must wear a seatbelt, but if everyone and the driver are over 18 you can pack as many people in the car as you want. I'm not positive on that but I believe that is correct. Hershey is very strange with lines because I have been there on week days where the coasters are 10 minute waits, but I have also been there on weekdays and waited an hour for the coasters.
  18. ^Idk how you can say it's the longest ride you have ever seen or ridden when you have been on Millennium Force and California Screaming. Both coasters are over 6,000 feet while Diamondback is only in the 5,200 foot range. The part of the ride I am looking forward to the most is the 215 foot drop at a 74 degree angle. It looks and sounds sick! Can anybody tell me how Behemoth's first drop is compared to Nitro or Apollo's Chariot? I have been on those two coasters and they have amazing drops. Is Behemoth's better than those two?
  19. I think Talon at Dorney Park is very underrated. The coaster has everything a great invert needs. An awesome drop, forceful loop, great zero-g roll, a forceful Immelmann, 2 very strong helixs, and an airtime drop. This coaster is great and is very smooth and forceful. I still don't understand how people think this ride is forceless. I have never experienced a forceless ride on Talon. My ranking for B&M inverts: 1. Talon 2. Alpengeist 3. Batman the Ride 4. Great Bear
  20. It will definitely be less crowded than on a weekend but I would still expect it to be crowded. It's Hershey, and during this time of summer everyone is going to the parks for the last time before schools start up. Expect long lines, but it shouldn't be ridiculous. Just make sure you get there at opening.
  21. I'm just wondering why a lot of people are saying Nitro is slow and doesn't produce a lot of airtime. I always get a huge amount of floater airtime over every hill. If you sit in the front seat you get more than floater airtime over the bunny hills at the end of the ride. It may not ejector but it is VERY strong floater. As for me, I hope this coaster produces a ride similar to Nitro.
  22. I believe Dive Coaster at chimelong paradise also has a splashdown. I am curious to see a splashdown on a hyper though. With the long trains it will look much different. I also like how the first drop is right towards the midway. That will give great views on and off the ride.
  23. I just don't understand how you can say Behemoth is a better ride if you haven't been on the coaster yet. For all we know it may turn out to be the best coaster ever. I highly doubt it but we don't know cause no one has ridden it yet.
  24. Scaparri, I don't believe that B&M is losing their touch or motivation. They build what the park orders. Parks are probably ordering rides that have the same elements because they know it will work. If they build it they are positive everything will work out and they will still have a great ride. That is how I feel on the situation. Would I like B&M to become a little more unique? Of course, but I don't expect it so I am happy with what they build.
