  1. That's awesome!!! Mine was also at SFGAdv. I was going to work on el toro and I was being told how to check the restraints which seemed pretty straightforward. However, when there were actual riders on the coaster the lapbars were all loose and floppy (and had a different colour) and just wouldn't lock. Then the train was dispatched without some of them being in place and I knew it would be certain death for those people.
  2. The station is looking pretty nice, and so is the rest of the ride. As to the amount of airtime it will provide, I guess we'll just have to wait for the opening.
  3. Apparently the bottom is already in place.
  4. That batwing does huge! I wonder if it will be the ride's tallest inversion considering the top speed will be hit after the zero-g.
  5. Quantum Leap actually sounds quite cool for a coaster name!
  6. ^^Wow. That was... weird. Pretty random.
  7. Near miss
  8. I know this might be just a small technical detail but is it a batwing or a pretzel loop? If it is a pretzel, what's the difference between a batwing and this, because the only one I can tell is the fact that the entry and exit cross over each other when, typically, they don't. still, I think it looks more like a batwing than the pretzels we usually see on flying coasters.
  9. ^Nice to see that. How exactly is the ride in terms of progress? It's kind of hard to tell in the middle of that mess of steel ( )
  10. Everyone who rode them would be traumatized. What if every coaster in the world was SLCized?
  11. ^Granted, you'd always be so exited that you would eventually have a heart attack. I wish I had the money to do at least one major coaster trip per year.
  12. Well that's clearly something you don't see every day. Only TOGO!
  13. Dexter. Would you rather ride the next big coaster at Cedar Point or at Six Flags Magic Mountain without knowing what they will be.

  15. Agree. Not all zero Gs I've been on actually gave me a weightlessness feeling. The coasters I've ridden which have one are: Bizarro (SFGAd), two Batman clones, superman (Warner Madrid), Dragon khan, Hydra, Talon, Great Bear and Raptor (CP) and, honestly, the only ones where I actually felt Zero-g were Superman's, Hydra's and Dragon Khan's the last one being my favourite as it was very fast but still zero g. Maybe it has to do with the seats but I don't remember getting a weightlessness feeling on any other.
  16. At last something is going on! I hope they will do no more stops.
  17. ^ Hahahaha!!! That's awesome!
  18. ^I agree. These rides have to be ridden in the front. And, honestly, if you do so, I don't find a big difference in terms of roughness. Yes, kk is not silky smooth but it never bothered me. If anything, it made the experience more intense. And I do find KK more intense than TTD, I don't know what it is but I do. I get the idea that KK pulls a bit more Gs while entering the top hat and it has a bigger acceleration (it sometimes might be in steps but it is faster). The way people say how much better TTD is than KK actually made me a bit disappointed when I rode it. It was great, but I just didn't find it better. For me KK is a tiny bit more exciting as I actually felt the urge to ride it immediately as I left the station while on TTD I really didn't (but maybe that's because I rode the Ka more times in the front, comparatively). Still, while they both are unique experiences in terms of height and speed I always felt there was something missing. To me, if there were a ride which started like these do and then carried on like skyrush, for example, it would be just brutal. But, you know, $$$$$$$
  19. Don't some ride manufactures themselves sometimes have similar policies? I think I heard RMC saying (about outlaw run) that for every tree cut down, 2 would be planted, or was it Silver Dollar City?
  20. ^Oh, just to be clear, because I think I wasn't: when I said either I was taking Stealth and Zaturn. I have been on both KK and TTD and, yeah, I would wait for a bit because of the exceptional speed and height so that's why I assumed I wouldn't do the same for the other ones.
  21. I saw the hunger games (catching fire) last Saturday and I did quite enjoy it. Definitely as good or even better than the first one (to me): great acting, thrilling and seems a bit more grown up compared to the first. Would definitely recommend it. And now I will be left for one more year waiting for the next one and two more for the conclusion.
  22. Superman.. . I mean, Ride of Steel
