  1. I remember, when waiting to ride Blue Streak at CP the ride op said something like: You will climb 78 and hit a top speed of 40 mph! That's bad! You will go upside down a total of.... ZERO times!. I can also recall the guy who was giving the instructions (about loose items and so on) on Gatekeeper, he was kind of rapping and would just shout so hard that his face was completely red. He indeed seemed very motivated. Overall the guys at CP were funny and would often make jokes related to the rides.
  2. ^Just brilliant! That would work pretty well with the GP.

  4. ^Every time my dad pushes the car close to its top speed I open the window and stick my head out to feel the hight speed wind and then think: this is almost what Top Thrill Dragster Feels like!

  7. If the first time you heard the name Hershey was about Hershey Park and only after that did you hear about the chocolate.
  8. Exactly!! That's why I love B&M's big loops, they are long enough for you to be for some time upside-down while under positive Gs giving you the feeling that the rest of the area is the wrong way up. That's the reason why I've never been a big fan of inversions with negative Gs as they just make you feel that you are, well... upside down while it is the ones with positives that do provide a disorientating feeling. I personally think negative g forces belongs to airtime hills which, again, are more fun because as you're up right you feel something is weird while on, let's say, barrel rolls, yo don't. Don't get me wrong, I do like an occasional roll but I think hangtime shouldn't be extended to other inversions, that's all.
  9. That can only be a good thing!
  10. Shambhala does look great although, for me, there is no doubt Dragon Khan is better as it is my favourite ride.
  11. The Cure - Boys Don't Cry
  12. I was actually slightly disappointed by the drop. It wasn't bad in any way, but I was expecting it to be brutal and I ended up getting less airtime than I get on B&M hypers (although it might just have been the seats that I took, though). It already has the length and making it vertical wouldn't harm it at all, I think.
  13. Check this one out- I remember watching that video and thinking: "WTF?? Is the track supposed to move about that much?". It does look cool, though.
  14. Nothing special from me apart from one of my rides on Raptor (CP) when, during the lift, my restraint suddenly unlocked about one click without me even touching it. I just locked it back where it was and I didn't worry that much as I knew it was extremely unlikely it would unlock more than that and, even if it did, Raptor is a ride where you could survive without restraints as it's all positive Gs, so...

  16. Sounds like a really good plan to me. I would also make the first drop vertical as I thought that it didn't provide as much airtime as it could.
  17. Weren't rides like flight deck and afterburn still considered old school (especially flight deck)? I've never been on either but that's what I thought.
  18. ^^That's the sixth one. He was asking about the fifth (which I can't also identify as I'm not "fluent" in woodies either). ^Well, yeah, now I know.
  19. Hell yeah! Would you like to have a B&M (an old school one) right next to your house and being able to ride it at any time (for free) knowing that it would be very loud and would be running 10 hours per day?

  21. I think it will have a nasty effect. That's why most of us have been complaining about the restraints (because, in my case, I don't have any problems with the tightening). When I rode gatekeeper I knew the big airtime hill was providing some floater air as my arms would go up without me doing anything, still I couldn't feel a thing, for real! If we were talking about ejector air, then you would still feel it, but when it comes to floater all the fun lies in lifting slightly out of your seat (which is what happens with the older restraints). So, considering this is a zero-g and, therefore, is supposed to provide weightlessness and not actual negative Gs I'm guessing the feeling will be kind of neutralized, but then we will have to wait for the opening.
  22. ^OMG! Even this home-made loop is better designed.
