  1. How else are they going to play basketball? Why are odd numbered addresses on one side of the street and even numbered ones on the other side?
  2. The seating is 2-3-3-2? That's what it looks like. I'm not sure why they needed OTSRs on this ride. Regardless, it looks rather interesting. Perhaps one of these with an additional car might make for a ride with decent capacity for a larger park. Eric
  3. ^ Funny...when I ride Colossus backwards, I try to sit in what would be the front seat if the train is going forward (actually the back seat when the train is turned around) and don't usually get that rough a ride. It may depend on the train's load at the time or something else, but it's not the worst I've experienced. Eric
  4. Even worse...I've been IN it. Is the "Yes and No Game" just another game to play?
  5. Most annoying are the ones who deliberately do the all lower case posting, omit punctuation, or do the HeRe Is My PoSt... thing. I like to say that it's OK to have your own "style" when it comes to posting, but show your style in the content and quality of your post, not in its appearance. Eric
  6. ^ Then it can run through your red china shop! Eric
  7. I've only ridden Kong at SFDK, and it wasn't so bad. Since it wasn't answered, I'll ask again: Why do coupons expire?
  8. ^ Back from a long absence. < Back from a round of job hunting. V Back from the Black Lagoon!
  9. I am the proud owner of a one-inch section of Flashback track (just the running rail, not the entire spine, ties, etc.). It even still has some of the blue paint on it! This was a prize from one of the TPR trivia games at a TPR party at Robb and Elissa's. Eric
  10. ^ First off, congratulations for beating the Big C. But do take caution and check with your doctor frequently to make sure that it doesn't return. I've known people who had their cancer come back. For you, I hope dearly that isn't the case. Now go treat yourself to something nice! Eric
  11. ^ For some people, it should be "Learn How to Use Punctuation Day." But for now, I'm eating chicken. Eric
  12. I think Batman is more intense, which is what a lot of people like. (Me, not so much.) B&M certainly has a leg up on Vekoma when it comes to smoothness, which is also what a lot of people like. (Me, definitely.) For me, it's the B&M inverted over the Vekoma SLC. Hands down. Eric
  13. ^ Believe me, having ridden that plenty of times, it really wasn't that big of a deal. Eric
  14. As long as all the Is are dotted, the Ts are crossed, and the bats are in the belfry. Why do coupons expire?
  15. Where are the Flashback (SFMM) photos...? Eric
  16. Whatever color they paint the inside of Space Mountain. Why did I bring this topic back from the dead?
  17. ^ Best post in this topic. Eric
  18. Personally, I've had no problems with SLCs, but that's just me. I've always wondered why Vekoma just couldn't call their version of an inverted, "inverted." Off-topic, looking at that map, I wonder if you can get anything to eat at "Entrée Village?" Eric
  19. ^ A friend of mine keeps his cell phone off most of the time. He says, "I got the phone for MY convenience, not yours." Mine is usually off, too, but I'm awaiting calls from job recruiters right now, so I have to keep it on. But all in all, I'd rather talk to someone and hear their voice (unless it's the Mrs. yelling at me! ). Eric
  20. Not unless someone did something stupid. Like I say with regard to safety, "Be warned, or be mourned." How do they put the holes in ceiling tiles?
  21. ^ Do your parents pay for the minutes? If so, then they can take the phone away. Are you a legal adult? If not, then your parents can take the phone away. I had a teenager who'd stay on the phone all night if we let her, so I know where your folks are coming from. Eric
  22. ^ Pokemon is NOT old. Y'know what is old? The Keystone Kops... Eric
  23. I rode one backwards on Psyclone once. Don't remember which one (red, orange, or yellow), but it wasn't really that bad then. But Psyclone was only three years old at the time (Fright Fest 1994). But after that year, SFMM never ran Psyclone backwards again. Eric
  24. To Pittsburgh to play baseball. There's a burger restaurant chain around here called The Habit. What are the chances that whoever thought of that name hoped that it would lead to people going there again and again and again...?
  25. I'm sure flooding in that area has occurred many times over the years---even before SFOG was built. Makes you wonder why they chose that spot and maybe not something higher if it were available then. Eric
