I have, and I'll do it again in a minute! Why are there so many different kinds of data storage media? -

It's a regular sentence with a funny looking punctuation mark at the end of it that requires your voice to go up an octave as you say it. How did business cards come into being? -

All of the pictures loaded for me just fine. This looks like the same book I have. So far, I've only ridden both POTCs in the U.S., but will agree that the Disneyland version is the better of the two---by far. The first time I rode in Florida, I thought, "Where did the rest of the ride go?" Thanks for sharing this and all of your treasures, Shane. Eric -
Last week, I went to see Guys and Dolls at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza. It's not Broadway, but it really isn't bad for a local theater company. (The Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza is home to the Cabrillo Music Theatre group.) Eric

I'm not really sure why everyone pisses on Silver Bullet. It's no Batman--The Ride, but there are a few spots where it does pack a punch. Personally, I like it and find it to be quite satisfying. As for what Chuck said, I also agree that Silver Bullet is somewhat out of place, and feel that the area's feel was changed for the worse. In agreement with n7's point of view, however, I also grew up with Knott's and as I've said numerous times here, enjoyed the park more back in the '70s when the variety of attractions went beyond roller coasters. In the end, though, Knott's has to keep adding attractions that today's guests want---and that is coasters---in order to keep itself open. I don't know the exact reason the Knott family sold the park, but I'm pretty sure that there wouldn't be a Knott's Berry Farm today had Cedar Fair not stepped in. The park just wasn't keeping up with its competition, and people's taste in thrills was changing. Eric

Yep. All pumpkins are great---especially in pie! What would be the best way to block noise from a busy highway? -

Have you ever worked in a haunted house?
ebl replied to deathbydinn's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Actually, one year I did work in one. Back in the '70s, our church youth group put on one that went all through the church buildings. My job was to "join" each tour group that left and stay to the rear. At one point, a closet door opened and I was "grabbed" by a monster, never to be seen again by anyone in that group. Of course, once that group was out of sight, I ran back downstairs to join the next unsuspecting group. Eric -
Been there, no, but I've heard of it. Do you like garlic?

With a name like "Sweeney," I'd say he's Irish. Something just ran across my roof---what should I do? -
^ That's why I try to come up with a description that defines the park provided secure storage compartment. Everyone knows what I mean without actually saying it. Another way to keep things secure is to travel light and leave as much unnecessary stuff in your car. Ask yourself if you really need everything you're bringing. Remember, too, that some items may raise an eyebrow at the metal detectors (if the park uses them). Eric

Good question, but I thought roots were round, not square. Even though the park is almost 40 years old, can anyone still find gold on the Gold Rusher at SFMM? -
^ That's your avatar. Follow the directions from CTU Agent: Click on 'Profile' at the top of the page. From there, click on the profile link again. It will take you a new page. On this page, click on the third link over, titled 'Avatar'. From there just upload a photo that meets the requirements. There ya go. Eric

^ Speaking of The Edge, Great America here in California had an Edge, too. (I rode it once in 1984 just before Marriott sold the park.) And an interesting thing---while SFMM's Freefall was a teal color (at the time), the one up north was a reddish orange color. We used to joke that California's freefalls were the same colors as Gumby and Pokey. Anyway, we know what happened to Illinois' Edge---whatever became of California's Edge? Eric

No, because if food is hot you can feel the heat on your face as you bend down to blow on it. Do you have the same phone as you did a year ago?

A "reject." It's the equal AND opposite of object, so you got a bonus answer. I need to make a room temperature can of Coke cold in a hurry. How can I do that quickly? -
This question is a bit off-topic of securing loose items on HRRR, but I've wondered whether the ride is boarded inside Universal Studios or IoA? Or is it somewhere in CityWalk? It's been a few years since I was there and have had a hard time picturing it. But, yes, as the others have said, if there's any doubt about your stuff, be sure to use one of Universal's complimentary, time-restricted storage compartments or store the items in a secure pocket in your clothing. "...everyone calls me E-B..." (vuurvogel) Interesting. In the past, a nickname of mine was "E.B." from various co-workers. My first and middle names begin with "E" and "B" respectively, and when I created drawings or documents for production, I put my first two initials along with my last name. Welcome to TPR, remain seated and enjoy your stay... Eric

No. Have you ever started a topic on TPR?

^ Isn't Tremors a CCI? If so, many of them don't hold up over the long haul, especially if they're on the intense side. Terminator is a GCII, and we're seeing that newer GCIIs maintain their smoothness. Having Millennium Flyer trains contributes to that. Perhaps if Silverwood puts a set of the new Timberliners on Tremors at some point, it might help. Just a note, I have not been to Silverwood, so obviously I haven't ridden Tremors to compare. But I do hope that Terminator keeps on being as rideable as it is. Eric

If the pizza has a radius, then it's radius-active and I'm not going near it to measure it. With only four seconds remaining, how would a football player get the ball into the end zone if he's on the 50-yard line? -
For what I do, my XP Pro is just fine. Eric
