Because Europe is smaller than the U.S. and its currency doesn't have to go so far. What made Google drive all over the place and take pictures of everything in sight? (Referring to Street View in Google Maps.) -
Not if I can help it. Do you turn your keyboard over and tap the gunk and crap out of it?

3:06am o'clock in the morning, and here I am at TPR. Eric "Waiting up for Diana to get home from the prom" L.

^ I hope you're feeling better, John. Are you going to be there on June 1 for ACE Day? If so, I'll see ya there. Eric -
There's one up in Ventura (about 20 miles north) and one down in the Valley (about 25 miles south). I've been to both. Eh---it's a...store. Eric

^ I think someone should start a topic about the Burlington Coat Factory on that forum. But I bet it'll get closed. Eric

No one likes me---I have no fans. Do you shop at Wal-Mart?

Six Flags Magic Mountain's X2 Media Day

I told Jay Thomas that the park could raise the price of the Xtreme Pass to $200 and I'd still buy one. Why? Because even at $200 it's still a bargain if you go to the park often enough (I've been about seven times already, and the year isn't even half over!). With 25% off of most food and souvenirs, plus the coupon book, plus free parking, it's quite the deal. Eric -
I think the carousel at the Santa Cruz Boardwalk has the brass rings, too, but I have yet to ride it. Eric
-
In the olden days, if you could grab a brass ring from the dispenser, you got a free ride on the carousel. (Of course, you "paid" with the ring by turning it back in.) Personally, I've never ridden such a ride, so I don't know how hard it is to snag one, but that's what they were for. Eric

Because if they did, they'd be pulling the wool over our eyes. Why is the U.S. the only major country to not use the metric system? -
Yep. Animal dander. No cats for me. Do you use fast food coupons?

^ For four months last year, my commute from Camarillo to Van Nuys was about one hour: a 50-minute train ride and a 15-minute walk. That was hard enough and got old real fast. And some years back, a friend took a van from Oxnard to Costa Mesa---up to three hours each way. Four to six hours on the road? No. Freaking. Way. I can't imagine spending that much time just getting to work. That job had better pay damned well... Eric

All the best of luck to you. "Teacups" looked at mine, too, and gave me some good advice. Back in March, I interviewed at a place that manufactures panels for the aircraft industry. At the time, I guess they found someone else because I never heard from them. However, I got a call last week from the same recruiter who got me that interview and he said they need a second person to do technical writing, bills of materials, drawings, etc., so the lady I interviewed with there said, "OK, we'll take him." So, I start on Tuesday. Eric

No, just getting up in the morning is amazing enough for me. Did you go to your prom?

Pfft...they couldn't even decide whether to name themselves after Alternating Current or Direct Current, so they chose both. You think they could count higher than three? No, I didn't either. Why did the U.S. Mint switch from making pennies from solid bronze to using copper plated zinc? -
The girls just went out to eat. But I already eated at In-N-Out. Eric

On our way home from X2 Media Day, we passed a Shell station that had a posted price $5.159 a gallon for diesel. Highest price I've ever seen. Eric

^^^ WTF?!?!? Colin...is that a 3-liter bottle of Coke? That would KILL this diabetic... Anyway, here's a shot of me at the X2 media day yesterday. I'm guessing these track sections were used in shipping the cars of the new X2 trains.

"Jim was enjoying every bite of the soushi (sp?)..." Just for the record, it's S-U-S-H-I (no "o"). Anyway, nice photo TR. THBSC looks like a fun little ride. It's definitely time for me to head up north again. SFDK has so many coasters that I have yet to ride since my last (and only) visit in 1999. Eric

Photo TR: KNOEBELS!!....with a side of WDW
ebl replied to BeemerBoy's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
I've managed to rack enough points on my VISA card for a free domestic round trip flight, and I've been trying to figure out where I want to go. At first I would just return to Florida for WDW, but the more I think about it, the more I'd like to go a bit north and experience something new...like Kennywood, Knoebels... I think that would be the better choice. Eric -
Did you know that all four of SFMM's Arrow coasters have (or had) red track? Eric

How many coaster trains have their own trunk? All in all, I enjoyed the day and took four rides on X2. Well done---too bad it wasn't like this the first time around. Eric
