  1. Psyclone could have been called "Terminator" because that's what it did to people... "Not sure how many of you remember the old Wild Rumors section on Thrillride" (AllenA07) I really miss that. That column was one thing I looked forward to all week. Eric
  2. A lot of Chance rides here, huh? Does that mean you "take a Chance" by visiting? One day, I'll find myself down there. Looks like a fun place. You did a nice job with the TR. And it was a nice change to see other stuff besides the Bullet. There is more to a good park than its coasters. Eric
  3. Absolutely. Is there a theme park in your city?
  4. Prices on Catalina Island here in Southern California: My brother lives out there, and given what I've seen during my visits there, this ain't a lie. (Picture from the Los Angeles Times) Eric
  5. I'm not a huge sports fan, but enjoyed this TR nonetheless. But I am a fan of the venues where they take place. Unfortunately, too many of our classic ball parks/arenas are giving way to modern and often stale ones. Thankfully, L.A. still has Dodger Stadium, which, after this season, will be the second oldest park in the major leagues. (Only Wrigley Field will be older once Yankee Stadium is torn down.) Dodger Stadium will be 50 years old in 2012 when the world ends. Which reminds me---who's going to do a "Yankee Stadium Final Season Photo TR" here? Eric
  6. Yep. One female Husky, and one male chinchilla. Do you count cars on passing trains?
  7. Goliath at SFMM has those things, too. In fact, that was the first coaster I noticed them on. But, Giovanola and B&M are distant cousins, so... Eric
  8. Most likely not. Do you shred junk mail?
  9. There is no way on this planet that any of those PAX coasters would ever make it here in the U.S. I think they'd have "lawsuit" written all over them. But that green-tracked thing looks...interesting. Eric
  10. ^ Her apparent lack of skill will catch up to her someday. Maybe not real soon, but someday. Eric
  11. I am so tired. I just woke up from dozing off about five minutes ago. During that time, I had a dream about some swing ride that some friends installed in their living room. It hung from the ceiling and could hold two people. Unfortunately, it was human powered, so you had to get it going with someone else. But once it got going, it looked pretty fun. In the dream, though, I never got to ride it. Eric
  12. That looks like a nice park and the woodie looks like fun. But that's one ghetto-looking log flume, though. Eric
  13. All of those nurses are nice looking, but the one on the far left is the nicest by far. The monument, though...interesting. But I guess they had a bunch of bronze laying around... Eric
  14. This is where I get my diabetes stuff. But not this exact store. And I'm not related to this Long family, even though some people have been kind enough to ask. Strangely, I've really gotten a kick out of this TR. It's just about the most random one yet. Eric
  15. ^ And pronounced "THEE-bo-dox," right? THEE-bo-dox...wow...sounds like medication or something... Eric
  16. "Another option would be to charge for total weight of passenger plus their bags. Here in America, this could generate a lot of extra money for the airlines. A 300 pound person should pay twice as much as a 150 pound person." (Goliath513) I'm not sure I agree with the higher fee for a heavier person, but I know some airlines have considered it. However, it'd be nice if they had rows with wider seats for wider people. It's not fair to mere 160-pounders like me to have to squeeze into a seat because the guy next to me fills his seat and overflows into mine. And, yes, they should restrict carry-ons because of people putting huge bags into the overhead compartments---that really pisses me off. I have seen a gauge at some places where carry-on bags are checked for size, and if they don't fit, they get checked. Period. Eric
  17. No, I just swat them, not read about them. Do you sleep late on weekends?
  18. Wow! No gasoline cans allowed aboard a plane? What is this world coming to? Anyway, yeah pretty random Photo TR, but it was funny. Eric
  19. ^ I just got out of chat with that guy. And he had the unmitigated gall to correct my spelling of his town! Eric
  20. ^ I'd like to see pictures of that! The original color scheme was really nice. Sometime in the next few weeks, I may take a trip back out there. The last time I was there was on Gravy Train Day! Eric
  21. When I started my current job, I was assigned a laptop computer to work with. I'm not used to using one, and I discovered that it has three ways to move the cursor around---a mouse that can be connected to a USB port, one of those little toggle thingies, and a touch pad. I prefer the mouse because it's the easiest. Eric
  22. ^ Apparently not good at real sports. < Definitely not good at real sports. V Is a really bad sport!
  23. 11 gallons of premium ($4.789/gallon) for Diana's car to the tune of $55 and change. Surely, I deserve chocolate for that... Eric
  24. ^ In the parking lot under it, right? Seriously, SFMM doesn't usually do anything for its coasters' "birthdays." Remember that this year was Riddler's 10th, and all they did was take away its buddy, Freefall. Not much of a birthday present, huh? Eric
  25. I'm guessing that Colossus' 30th will pass quietly. It's not the park's most popular coaster, even though it's the only wooden one. They did nothing for Revolution's 30th in 2006 except touch up some paint. And in three years, it'll be Gold Rusher's 40th! Eric
