  1. ^ Congratulations! Getting a job is perhaps the best feeling in the world, specially if you've been out for awhile. Eric
  2. I don't pin trade anywhere. Have you ridden Knott's Pony Express?
  3. ^ They were running three trains on X2 last night for ERT, but stacking miserably. I did run my "use the unload area" by Jay, and he just said that once the new OSTRs loosen up, things will flow better. Eric
  4. I wonder if they could unload riders in the old unload station at the same time as loading riders in the load station. That way, once the full train leaves, the now-unloaded one could pull into its spot and load while the third train is just finishing its run and coming back in. Did that make sense, or did they already try it? Eric
  5. No. Does your name contain the letter "e" at all?
  6. So they loaded up the truck and moved to Beverly... Hills, that is, swimming pools, movie stars... Eric
  7. And, as for me...nothing. And where did the Burlington Coat Factory go? Eric
  8. No...don't have time because it'll cut into my Web surfing... Have you ever held a chinchilla?
  9. ^ BCF credits, huh? But can you tell me how many of those stores had multiple floors connected by escalators? Eric "The one in Ventura does" L.
  10. ^ That coaster car is from Colossus. Eric
  11. "Shots of the ride operating in 'the old days' when the mountain was partially 'hollow.' " (SeaWhippet) I have all sorts of those---unfortunately, they're burned into my memory and not on film. Maybe someday there will be a way to extract memories and get them into some sort of digital form. But I'm glad this topic came back to life. I've really enjoyed learning about what was probably my first major coaster. Eric
  12. Yeah, Burlington Coat Factory is about as random as you could get (well, maybe "Pep Boys" is right up there, too). But definitely funny. Eric
  13. Yesterday on our way to Andria's at the Ventura Harbor, I saw a Shell station with diesel posted at $5.199 a gallon. Thank goodness I don't drive a diesel! Eric
  14. No, but too bad you didn't ask me about a month ago---I could have said yes. Did you ever have a paper route?
  15. Great report! Sounds like all you campers had a memorable time. Anyway... Every time I see this sign, for some reason I read it as "X22." Just me, I guess. Eric
  16. "Since you asked, if I were the manager of the restaurant, the first thing I would do is realize the are no excuses for filth in an eating establishment." (Jim1013) Doesn't Orange County have a restaurant letter grading system like L.A. County does? I know the eateries at SFMM have letters posted in front. Letter grades or not, there's never an excuse for a dirty restaurant, regardless of where it is. Eric
  17. A season pass for the Neverland Ranch isn't even good there because they're closing it. Do you think any outlet malls have a store where you can buy...an electrical outlet?
  18. I know it's in there somewhere...spit it out---come on! Do it! Eric
  19. Actually, I do. Every time I go to SFMM, I always walk past the go carts, but never get on them. I'd better ride them sometime before they go away. Do you call other states often?
  20. ^ I think Thursday would be your best bet as school is still in session. Even with the park opening at 10:30, it shouldn't be bad. Eric
  21. Letting people out of a long line to use the restroom is a good policy. Maybe if this is done on other rides enough, it'll discourage people from cutting in to join those imaginary friends. Eric
  22. This guy. But don't tell anyone. Why do fans make noise?
  23. Having seen a number of pictures of the trains, I hadn't seen the very back of them with the "KBF" in the wrought iron. Nice touch. I've done X2, so now it's time to giddyup on down to Knott's to ride Pony Express. It does look like fun. EDIT: I forgot to ask...how long was the wait for this ride? Eric
  24. Strangely, I like Knott's Timber Mountain Log Ride better than either DL and WDW's Splash Mountains. Maybe because it's a classic. Log Jammer at SFMM is a good, long flume, and its drop at the end is pretty tall. As for worst...I don't think I've really been on a bad one. I've always liked flumes regardless of how long, tall, or themed they are. Eric
