Yep. With a child, too. Do you do your own laundry?

Great Photo TR. It's been a long time since I was at CGA, and at night. Like you, tkkyj, I like sky rides and am glad that this park still has theirs. They are rare these days. As I've said, I will return to CGA once the new woodie opens. Eric

^^ Agreed. But remember that Six Flags doesn't really theme queues so much. They really need the Six Flags Entertainment in that line to entertain guests, and [here he goes again] GET RID OF THE STORAGE SHELVES IN THE STATION AND FORBID PEOPLE FROM TAKING STUFF UP THERE!!! Wasn't that the point of the lockers? Enforce a policy or don't! Come on, folks, if you don't want to buy a locker, then wear something with lots of pockets, leave stuff with a non-rider, or leave it in the car or at home. ^ Yes, last Sunday was fun. I really needed that and it was nice to have met you, Jim, and the many others I either arranged to meet or just happened to bump into. Eric

Whats The Weather Like Where You Live?
ebl replied to RtherBOnACoaster's topic in Random, Random, Random
It's like summer here, but very comfy. A perfect SFMM day, but I already went last week. Eric -
^ In your second picture, that's really a weird mural you have on the back of your Jeep. But you did a nice job with the detailing. I let someone else do my CR-V because they're better at it than I am. I drove a 2009 Corolla a few months back. My opinion? It's...eh. Eric

^^ Too bad the weather isn't cooperating. And sorry to hear that you've lost some things. But have as happy a birthday as you can under the circumstances and know that things will get better. Eric

We did one at WDW back in 2002. It's great for the kids and kids at heart. For me, personally, even though I enjoy things Disney, it really didn't do much. Eric

Photo Intensive Six Flags Discovery Kingdom Trip report

Nice photo TR. SFDK is a park that I'd like to get back to since my last visit was nine years ago. I'm thinking of taking a trip to CGA and SFDK next year after the woodie at CGA opens. You'll get better at using your camera the more you use it. To those who've criticized you, piss on 'em. Eric -
^ I hope the quest for your phone turns out like the one I took for my camera back in March. (That is, I got it back!) Eric

Yep, and a new one (Pony Express), too! Do you wash your own car?
-
That's the only kind I can drink, but honestly, I really do like Diet Coke (see my signature). Do you like Greek gyros?

Today I participated in my very first video conference at work. Fortunately, it was an audience of one. Eric

"No...she was afraid of hurting the people behind her if they were let loose." (Teacups Make Me Sick) All I had to do was read that, get a mental picture, then run before spraying my monitor with iced tea. Thanks for a great laugh! Eric

TR: A fun day at Busch Gardens Africa!
ebl replied to ka8911's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Not sure why (maybe it's my computer), but the first 35 pictures aren't showing up. I really like this park and would like to go back, now that they've added SheiKra. Eric -
Another nit-picky one from me: when people write the year as 08'. See, let me explain. The apostrophe represents the "20" part of the year that was removed to shorten the year; therefore, it should precede the "08" part, as in '08. Same deal with the dollar sign. It isn't "4$." It's "$4." Do they not teach this in school anymore? Eric

Regular is now pushing $4.40-$4.50 around here for self-serve. Diesel is already up and over $5 in most places. Time to develop a new, reliable, plentiful fuel. Eric

Roller Coaster "death machines"
ebl replied to TexasGiant1982's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Psyclone, Flashback, and, on my last visit, GhostRider. Eh, some of you have already mentioned those. But for my answer, I'm going to say X. Not X2---X. It beat me up worse than any other ride I've taken. The ride on X2 is somewhat better with the new trains, to the point of being tolerable, so I'll continue to ride it occasionally. But X, no, I gave up on it a few years back. Eric -
No question asked, so I'll just say no. Would you use a drink coaster imprinted with your employer's logo?

Unanswered/Dumb Question-Dumb Answer game

Because Creepy is so goofy! Why don't they paint the lines between traffic lanes purple? Who decided on white? -
It's great to see SFMM with an honest to goodness train ride again. At ACE Day, the rumor that the Metro was going to get a Thomas makeover was confirmed, but the cost to do so would have been...up there. A great idea though. BTW, the Thomas train has about 800 feet of track and is pulled by a diesel-powered locomotive. Also, seeing KidTums walking!!! That kid is growing real fast! Eric

I almost would have said this is Knott's Roaring '20s Corkscrew in its later years after they painted the track blue, but the trains themselves were also red, white, and blue at Knott's. The ones in this picture have no blue. Eric

I never got to ride Zonga. But from what I've heard, all I missed was some pain and discomfort. Eric

SeaWorld San Diego (SWSD) Discussion Thread
ebl replied to CoasterJunkie's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Journey to Nowhere isn't enough to get me back to Sea World, but maybe this little coaster (saw the artwork on Screamscape) will. I'm still waiting for a sea life park to add a ride themed to Davy Jones' locker. That could be interesting. Eric
