  1. Not the roof where I currently live, but when I was a kid, we used to jump off the roof at my folks' house. Do you have any gift cards left from Christmas with a balance on them?
  2. Regular is up over $4.50/gallon now, and diesel is approaching $6.00. There's a station here that's selling full-serve premium for $5.999. I'll have to get over and take a picture of the price sign. Eric
  3. On occasion, yes. Have you ever stayed up very, very late posting on TPR (like I am now)?
  4. Actually, our noses and ears continue to grow after the rest of us has stopped, and do so the rest of our lives. Why is the extra money we pay on a loan or credit card called "interest?"
  5. ^ I rode one at the L.A. County Fair once over 20 years ago. Once was enough, thank you... Eric
  6. ^ Too bad---after the fire, there'll be plenty of fried rice to go around! Eric
  7. It looks like we're going into yet another round of random Photo TRs. I'd better come up with one. This could be fun. Eric
  8. Nope. Does your area code have a 0 or a 1 as its middle digit?
  9. Diana was out tonight, so I had to feed the chinchilla. And, yes, a chinchilla will sniff your face and give you a little "love nibble" when they're happy. Eric
  10. "I put a lot of time and work into this train to make it as original as possible" (Magic Painter) It'll be great to see trains with this paint scheme running on Revolution again. But it'll look funny with the OTSRs! Nice paint job, BTW! Eric
  11. "Right now I'm looking at a 2000-2003 Nissan Sentra or Toyota Corolla." (Wood Dragon 1988) Get the Corolla or look at the Honda Civic. Both are better cars. Eric
  12. If someone posts something random here, and nobody reads it, is it really random? Eric
  13. ^^ Yeah, I really didn't think that out---especially given that I've gotten back on rides where previous accidents have occurred. And, yes, I've fallen in the shower, and still take them. Eric
  14. ^ And I think it got a brand new train from B&M not long ago. I was told that Train #2 is the new one. Eric
  15. ^ In our case (California especially, since most diesel vehicles have not been allowed to be sold) it's mostly an air quality thing. But now that the so-called "clean diesels" are on their way, even California will begin selling them again. The only thing, though, is who wants to pay $5.50 a gallon for fuel? Eric
  16. I have yet to ride an Intamin tower, and now that this cable thing has happened a second time, I'm really getting sort of skittish about ever riding. Eric
  17. ^ New plaque is in place---only to be tagged again, most likely. Remember, those are the original colors, not new ones. (Great American Revolution = red, white, and blue.) I've never really liked the new scheme, in place since about 1990. Eric
  18. ^ You'd be surprised. Hardly anyone wants a vehicle with a manual transmission anymore because they don't know how to drive one! And dealers often don't even have such vehicles because of the low demand. But with gas prices skyrocketing, you'll see---sales will start taking off. Eric
  19. They never had them growing up. See, them's a new-fangled thing. Where do they catch chinchillas?
  20. If I didn't, I'd look like Grizzly Adams. Have you ever flown in a propeller-powered aircraft?
  21. ^ I'll sum that up in one word---FAIL! Today, our trial broke for an hour and 45-minute lunch, so I walked about a mile down to Carl's Jr. and had a hunk of cow, a couple of slices of pig, some tangy sauce, and an orange cheese product assembled onto a soft, spongy surface made out of bleached flour and adorned with seeds. Along with that, I drank a carbonated beverage consisting of water and various chemicals, sweetened with a non-sugar substance. Eric
  22. The trial I'm on as a juror will be done tomorrow, about two or three days early! Eric
  23. LOL!!! You guys are all too young to remember when SFMM ran five trains on Revolution that all had that paint scheme. After all, it was originally called "The Great American Revolution" in honor of the U.S. Bicentennial in 1976. BTW...I just noticed...apparently, when you type the acronym for American Coaster Enthusiasts, it changes to "Gravy Train." Interesting... Eric
  24. ^ However, if you want a fun Corolla to drive, my daughter has a 2005 Corolla XRS...180 hp engine, six-speed manual transmission, very tight suspension for cornering. You could get into a lot of trouble in that thing. But fun to drive for sure. Eric
  25. ^ Most WTF?!?!? post ever, too. Eric
