  1. ^ You'd never need drugs in that house. The paint scheme'll do it for ya! Eric
  2. ^ Yeah, and your dog is in your sink. Is that what he does when you go off to Washington? If so, you need a new dog. Eric
  3. Has any work started on preparing the site of next year's GCII woodie? Eric
  4. ^ There was a full grown male lion at the Animal Farm years ago (early/mid-'70s) named Major. I remember seeing him once. Eric
  5. I got an e-mail from our local ACE rep about attending X2 Media Day this coming Thursday, May 22. Ordinarily, I'd go, but I'm supposed to start a new job on Tuesday, so I have to pass. But I'm not worried...I'll get on soon enough. Eric
  6. Did you know that 20 different coasters have stood at SFMM over the course of its existence? Eric
  7. Hell does whatever it damn well pleases. How would you know the answer to a question that hasn't yet been asked?
  8. Toast, yes, but not French toast. Do you spend time in your pubic library?
  9. ^ Itchy and aaaarg-y. < Yep, good old Eric Airways...may it rest in peace. V Yep, good ole boy from Okie-homa...may you rest among the tumbleweeds!
  10. On the main page of the forum, there is the list of everyone who's online at that time. Did you know that if you move your pointer over the names, Robb's name remains white, Elissa's name turns red, the mods names turn green, and everyone else's turn orangey brown? I discovered that a long time ago, but just forgot to note it for y'all. Eric
  11. One time, my daughter and I were out at the park and rode Gold Rusher. When we got back, no one was waiting, so the crew let us go around again---with the train to ourselves. That was fun. Eric
  12. ^ Everyone sticks their gum on a rubber mat covering a support for the ride that is next to the first lift. To my knowledge, it isn't a speaker or a box or whatever. Eric
  13. Yep, the Magic Mountain of today is a far cry from the one you last visited, JimBeach. But in the years since, it's seen a lot of rough times. Thankfully, it's definitely on the upswing despite having just removed a bunch of the flat rides. Over time, those will be replaced with newer attractions that park guests should enjoy just as much. I've already been out there about six times this year. During my last visit almost a week ago, I was able to ride all 13 operating coasters in under four hours. Right now is a great time to go---summer isn't quite here yet, so the crowds aren't that bad. X2 reopens soon, too. Like you, I too began falling out of this due to some personal problems and sort of wavering health. But things are getting back to normal for me, and I'm really enjoying the "rediscovery" of a hobby that goes back to my single-digit age years. Eric
  14. Did you "know-tiss" that I fixed my post? Eric
  15. Nice, BIG photo... Metro is not coming back, so says park management. Too bad---it's sorely needed. Eric
  16. Did you know...the Sky Tower at SFMM was originally supposed to be a Playboy Club in Chicago? When that deal fell through, Newhall Land & Farming and SeaWorld (Magic Mountain's developers) picked it up and had it installed at their new park instead. Eric
  17. ^ An indoor park filled with "dark" rides. Eric
  18. "Did you know that Rhino Rally was the worlds first 3d coaster" (InsanityFreak) Interesting...I never thought Rhino Rally was anything like a coaster. Since I've ridden it, can I count it as a credit? Eric
  19. With a Civic hybrid for sale, I don't know why Honda doesn't offer a CR-V hybrid. It'd be easy to do and would give the Ford Escape hybrid a little competition. But, nice ride, Wes. And like Scaparri said, welcome to the Honda family. Eric
  20. ^ That's easy. If you have bad photos, you can "flick" 'em into the trash! But a bucket? Eh...no... Eric
  21. Did you know that the Looney Tunes were Magic Mountain's mascots during its first season (1971)? After the park was shut down for six months for a major renovation, it reopened in May 1972 with the trolls and Wizard as mascots, and they stayed till 1985 when the Looney Tunes returned. And Knott's got the Peanut characters in 1983 when it opened Camp Snoopy. Eric
  22. ^ Posted real early in the morning (at least it was here). < Posted real late in the afternoon (at least it was here). V Posted real late in life (it least it is there)!
  23. I just thought about this... Photobucket. Where did that name come from? Who keeps their photos in a bucket anyway? Eric
  24. Just remember, buckling up saves beer. Eric
  25. Honestly, I think indoor parks would be all the rage---especially in areas where they have harsh winters that don't allow year round operation of outdoor ones. You'd think such parks would be goldmines, too. Eric
