  1. Hanno- As usual- a phenominal photo update; Kijima looks like a bizarre knock-off of someplace like Kennywood or related. The enclosed splashwaters fall (I'm guessing) is designed so people can't get wet on it... Did you get to ride it??? Looking forward to the next update, too!
  2. Ugh- I forgot one -small- problem. I don't drive. I should have clarified that when I posted! I'm looking for ground transport to Central Hershey (I've yet to pick my hotel, etc.) but from the airport there is the key issue.
  3. GCI has shown configurations for trains as short as six cars for their 'smaller' coaster designs (Mike Boodley's own junior coaster designs feature six and eight car trains). There's no length requirement for a GCI train- save the 'minimums' for what the track/train will bear speed and force wise. We have, to date, only seen 12 car MilF trains- but I'd reckon a 100% chance of seeing the shorter MilFs on their future junior projects.
  4. The list for me is distinguished- but it's got style, too: 1.) ANY Intamin 2ndGen Freefall tower- I will ride NONE of them. Don't ask. It's not happening. 2.) S&S Power Towers: See above. 3.) Mountain Slidewinder at Dollywood. See above again. 4.) Any rides with Spiders or clowns. Nuff said there.
  5. I've already figured the ride won't open (if HP's history says ANYTHING about it...) tll the last weekend in May- however, once the date IS announced, I'll change my ticket (I'm in the travel industry...) I got a fare from PHX (Phoenix, AZ) to MDT (Harrisburg, PA) for 240.00 R/T- and that was TOO good to pass up. I do have a question, though for the 'locals' there- How difficult is it to get from MDT to Hershey? Having never flown into MDT before- this is a new challenge that I'm already planning for!
  6. Factoid: GCI trains don't always run with 12 cars... It's an option- NOT a requirement for GCI Coasters.
  7. I think I can freely speak for those of us who are -very patiently- following this forum, this trend, the sites, the FB page, the tweets and the park et al and say: You'd better belive it, BUB. And mind you, not all of us are in the HersheyPark area- I've already booked my tickets for mid May next year to go and ride this thing- whatever it is- simply as it has been a part of my life sine 4-22-11. And everyday we get closer- with more clues, more items, more puzzles. And T-Shirts. And Magnets. And Tickets. And bumperstickers. I'd love to see Cedar Fair, Six Flags or SeaWorld Parks pull of something of this scale- It shows that a park in the middle of Pennsylvania Dutch Country CARES enough to show the world they're serious about their rides.
  8. Great Photo TR: I have to say that waterparks are one of my secret fantasies in life- I don't go to them anymore- but I love to see them pictured- and this park looks like a TON of fun all over. It's a shame that half the slides look 'dead' as the park has one of the best collections I've seen a long time!
  9. Hershey is getting ready to drop something pretty big, clue-wise. The breakdown of the gifs is great, BTW. IF anything, we're looking at the first of the 'final' gif clues to the game- as in: Something will open up the OCP site, where, unless they're REALLY playing with us, will be like the NANTIMI clues. As in: The first of the 'confirmed' layout and profile. Good luck to whomever of us gets to HP and finds the magic clue- however it's found.
  10. Not a problem at all: When you're ready to submit, PM me, and I'll remove your old park!
  11. You can always re-submit your park- and I can remove the old one.
  12. People could REALLY use this to get more points, too- as it's still 50 points per track uploaded- through Tommorow at Midnight PDT... (Just a plug)
  13. Whew- glad to see you got some StarPort action after all... and I love the 'retro' flashback to DL/MK's look prior to the retrofits... Some things really seemed to throw me off, though. Doing some mental calculations of the prices of food- is that they aren't all that bad compared to DL or MK for food prices; perhaps I've simply spent too much time at DL in the past few years to notice. Also: Was It's a Small World 'politically corrected' as was the DL version? I think that might have been the biggest let-down of finally being able to ride the DL version- as it didn't quite seem like it was Mary Blair's work to it. Overall: Looking forward to the Thunder Mountain and Splash Mountain update... nothing beats a bit of mountain-hopping!
  14. Ugh. Apathy. "And we will all die too someday, sad but true."
  15. I had to read this sentence FOUR times before I realize this: 1.) No real punctuation or grammar- and that there were four phrases/ideas in one.... Perhaps it was your phone committing suicide for lack of punctuation?
  16. -shudder- IOWA???
  17. I have GOT to start using that in the Games Forums... that or RTFM. Back to DL: As my Lawyer-filled family would say: There's always a lawsuit to be had- as there are more idiots than there are people who think. It's outrageous to me that the patron would even THINK of disregarding the signs, warnings, etc. before boarding a ride. I sort of think this is going to be, however sad, a case of Darwin-Award quality logic going wrong on all sides, and sadly, with the emotional destruction of many along the way. It's not just the family of the deceased I'm thinking of- it's the other riders, park patrons, employees, etc. who are also going to be dealing with this all over.
  18. The goal is to pay back the loan, and make 12,000.00 a month- if you turn in a park that's not too full, people will see that- and not VOTE for it- BTW, Accelerate- You still haven't answered your PM from me re the last contest. Please do so. NOW.
  19. OK- I'd not seen that monorail car before- but that is FREAKING AMAZING. You'd spend hours trying to figure out how many Hidden Mickeys there were! BTW: When do we get StarPort porn???
  20. And the game continues: O'connell Pluming and Drain has a new site- and now has a login screen... let the search begin for the name and password- and hopefully it will be cracked quickly...
  21. Our fantastic computer has cranked out a winner! Congratulations bbt-67, with his winningy entry to the Steeplechase (Single Rail) contest! This week we're doing things a bit differenty! First, you'll have till next Wednsday Morning to get your track in! AND We're going to try a 'Recreate it' Simulation this week: For this weeks' ToTW challenge, a 500 points bonus is on the line for the person who can: RCT III: Recreation of an Arrow Corkscrew Coaster! This can be any Arrow Corkscrew- whether it's the old Python at BGT, or the Cedar Point Corkscrew, you get to recreate it the best that you can. The limits are, however, the ride must either be one of Arrow's STOCK CORKSCREWS (The double screw model) OR one that has Corkscrew in it's name. So no, no Vortex, Anaconda, Viper, GASM, ShockWave, Viper, etc. Just Corkscrews- and only the name corkscrew can be used! Good Luck!
  22. Maybe that's where Crazy Park Manager has been getting his ideas for all those lovely Arrow coasters as of late...
  23. Thank you! Hopefully we'll get video of pieces of the show, since we can't video the whole thing. And as promised, a picture in costume and makeup. Although this may not actually be my final costume. And Danny did a terrible job taking a picture and didn't get the little bun and pins on top of my head. I understand that- when B was in "My Fair Lady" we weren't able to do a video of it- WAAAH! But the costume so far looks like a winner!
  24. Schwarzkopf.coaster.net talks about this ride that didn't come to fruition- and it is to me quite sad- in length, it would have been one of the world's longest rides- and was considered to be the last true SpeedRacer that Anton Schwarzkopf designed. (Technically, Lisberbanen is the last of the 'true' Speedracer class to be built)
