  1. Shane- it's been a long time since we've had some great gems from you- so Season 4 I'm sure will not disappoint at all!
  2. Looking at the track in those pictures, that's the most likely answer- the magnetic brake supports on that curved section are in-line with where they'd be on an ElLoco model.... (Granted, you tend to know the answer long before many of us even have the question!)
  3. Himilayabahn, Schwabenpark (Schwarzkopf, Wildcat Model #54)
  4. Voting will begin on Monday, 12 September 2011- Due to a technical glitch, I'm having to re-shoot- some of the pictures of the entries into the contest; this will be cleared up ASAP. Thanks for your patience with this- R.D. GFMT
  5. I learned a LONG time ago a very important lesson in Business: When your customer (especially one who's loyal) Asks you for a product, you give it to them. Give the customer what they want, and they will return you with money. Sadly, Atari is not playing ball with this- and instead using consumer based 'idea' data and looking short-sighted, and not the long run return on a product. At least for now.
  6. Very Interesting TR: But a few notes/questions: 1.) Having not had the 'pleasure' of Typhoon, I can't speak for it- but for such a novel design, I'm surprised at how much bad press it's getting- which begs the question: better or worse than a TOGO? 2.) The Bodies Exibition (I saw it in SF a few years ago) is -well- worth the price, and I guarantee, you'll pass up McDonalds afterwards. Perhaps it should be lent out to ACE for a while? 3.) It's good to see a 'fair' where the rides actually look like they're going to scare you to death. Good thing I'm not there to protein spill with them. 4.) INDIAN FRY BREAD IS -almost- AS AMAZING AS CINNAMON BREAD AT DOLLYWOOD! R.D.
  7. OK: Memo to me- Wedgie is in order for the -total- geeiness of your Disneyism here... BUT.... I'll refrain due to the quality of teh StarPort 77 Porn in this TR. (And I -really- did think I over-geeked on my last DL trip. I've been proven painfully wrong...)
  8. Agreed- that's pretty odd, I mean, I've heard of rushing to the altar, but not at TPR...
  9. I agree completely here- KD does, for it's best efforts, a phenominal job. They might not be perfect, and they might have issues stacking, but on a whole, they do a good, reputable job with keeping things moving. And I've seen -FAR- worse examples at other parks, too. If you think there's an issue stacking with employees at KD, go 90 miles north to SFA. And then see who's doing a better job.
  10. Danke Shoene- I recognized that lift hill aspect from years on it...
  11. Introducing: Mudslide! This Mack Bobsled features three car trains, and a -blistering- pace around it's course. 1400 PPH will keep your people happy, too! SCR65.BMP SCR66.BMP Download Mudslide HERE!
  12. I just felt another one of my already narrowed coronary arteries clog reading the first part of your report- and for those of us who are dedicated Hershey(park) loyalists: What is a Mars Bar??? Nice TR, BTW.
  13. For now, we're going to stick with RCT II coasters- although don't rule out a 'wet' ride in the future... For now, let's see some BOBSLED Action!
  14. Congratulations to tdub96 with his winning entry "Swift" Download his B&M Twister coaster HERE! Track of the Week 9/2/11: RCT II- Mack Bobsled Track of the Week 9/9/11: RCT II B&M Inverted Coaster Good luck- and let's see some classic bobsleds!
  15. Congratulations! We have a winner! Coasterguy06 has hit the winning coaster with Lincoln Park's Comet. Please send me an e-mail at QueerRudie@themeparkreview.com with your name and address, and I'll pass that on to the powers that be! As for the clues: HIDDEN: Lincoln Park is very well hidden- and now what's left of the ride is hidden by overgrowth STEEL: Steel rails on the wooden track BOLT: Larger than average bolts were used on this National Amusement Design coaster SUBMARINE: Comet was painted yellow for many years (and the Beatles DID do a YELLOW submarine!) LOGS: What the ride is now used for, and was made from at one point. "DESIRE"- In the last year Comet operated, U2's DESIRE was a #1 hit- in 1988. IVY and HARVARD: Boston, and the Ivy League- not too far away from Lincoln Park and the Comet SUPERNOVA: An astronomical term, like the Comet is. COLLAPSE: The lift hill collapsed in 2005 ILLINOIS: Lincoln comes from Illinois... So many of you got close with that clue Thanks for playing- I had a great time with this, and I hope to do this again in the future! R.D.
  16. OK: We've seen people get so close they could SMELL THE PARTS of it- and there is still some "DESIRE" to see the game come to an end, If somebody went to an IVY LEAGUE school like HARVARD, They could end up with a WIN. NEW CLUE: COLLAPSE
  17. Sniff, Sniff, Sniff... interesting... you gained an additional point there... I like the thoughts... especially about the Jersey Shore, but it's not the right coaster...
  18. No- But keep going on that thought for a bit... I'll have to use that one in the future... I like it. Sadly, it's not the right coaster. But your logic is IMPECCABLE!
  19. Excellent logic. You're on the wrong track, but excellent logic. Also great logic- but nope. you're also on the wrong track. Remember to ask YES and NO questions, too-
  20. NEW CLUE: Supernova SUPERNOVA, CLAM, ILLINOIS, STEEL, BOLT, "DESIRE", SUBMARINE, IVY AND LOGS. go for it!
  21. LOL- Yes, I DO wish I could have ridden it- but that's not the "DESIRE" I was thinking of- nor is it the right coaster... You were very warm a while ago... and while Greezed lighting DOES make me hot, your answer is cold... "DESIRE", LOGS, CLAM, ILLINOIS, STEEL, BOLT, IVY, SUBMARINE, and HIDDEN. Keep going, everyone. if you start to put other people's answers together, you'll get VERY close to it.
