  1. I think I just wet myself... The Ride Building track looks like something I'd create in RCT II. It's looking great- and the new photos are outstanding. R.D.
  2. Is it just me, or does this sound like an RCT2 Challenge? Hmmmmm... Might be a possibility. Stay tuned to this channel on Monday...
  3. On behalf of the Moderators of TPR's Game Exchange: THANK YOU FOR REVIVING A THREAD instead of starting a new one! I hope the re-creation turns out well- and you might (if you feel so inclined) consider looking at a few of the ideas that Shane has put recently into the "Shane's Amusement Attic" thread- as it would be interesting to see what could have been... R.D. GFMT
  4. STUNNING. I'm digging the new look to the park as it looks amazing- and the new landscaping really does make it 'pop' quite a bit. (BTW: When it comes time for you to add your first Steel Coaster, I've got some great pics of various early gen models for you...) R.D. GFMT
  5. Hearing the 'howl' of BBW in the video brought a tear to my eye- but sadly, I don't think the previous PREVIOUS coaster's adornment will be there either. (For those who looked carefully, on BBW, just after the 'voyage' through the village- to the left of the train was a light decoration from... Die Wildkatze, which stood on the site where BBW/Verbolten's platform now stands. If you blined, you missed it- but it was there!).
  6. Awesome video, Eric- I've had a fascination with the 'coasterlike' elements of BF since my first DW visit 11 years back- and the footage of the drops/turnarounds/splashdown are great! Nice job- and looking forward to other treats like this in the future.
  7. To paraphrase a line from "Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy"- "To experience Dollywood's Cinnamon Bread would be like being hit in the head with a heavy brick wrapped in gold." I think without question, it's the most popular food in the theme park universe, and well worth missing ERT for. It's that good. A day at Dollywood without Cinnamon Bread is not a day at Dollywood.
  8. I'm thinking about a children's park in RCT II... one where the rides aren't intense, the coasters can't be tall, and you have to theme up the park to make it beautiful all around...
  9. Another brilliant photo TR Chad- and it's interesting to see Elitches at the dawn of a new era- and one that I can hope will bring the park in line other Herschend parks in the country. (Such as that one in Tennesee with the Cinnamon Bread....)
  10. Yeah, unfortunately Slidewinder is one of those rides that isn't very accessible because of its location and setup. But now you see that you will have a nice comfy spot to wait it out while you are the bag man! Also, the area is in extremely close proximity to cinnamon bread!!! LOL- I never thought about that (Accessiblity!) My thought was: Mountain Slidewinder scared the CRAP out of me, and led to a line of profanity that's still hovering over the Pigeon Forge valley to this day- Rode it once- and NEVER again! As for the swings: Same thing... On the bright side, the Cinnamon Bread WOULD be a good diversion while I'm the Bag man...
  11. This is sad- it was under Frank's leadership that HP rose so brilliantly to be a bright and shining star of the theme park universe, and he will be missed. He knew how to run a park, and run a park right.
  12. ^ Of course they are- after all, they know EVERYTHING, and the world revolves around how smart, and cool, and creative teenagers are. They are smarter than the 'adults' and know more than we do. Teenagers- G-D's punishment for parents enjoying sex.
  13. Awesome thread there, Eric- and love to see the pics of this interesting ride. I'm looking forward to seeing the park again next summer- and watching people on said rides... (Both of them: Slidewinder and Barnstormer... I'll be happy to be the bag-man for those rides.)
  14. A perfect additon, coup- loving the size, colors and location of the ride- It's a great fit, and suits the park well for what you're offering in it- more pics would be nice, though! R.D.
  15. Outstanding job, Randal- totally over the top, and beyond what I've ever seen in a coaster exibit before. Good luck today- and I hope you get lots of pictures. (Hoping to head out there in December as part of a Kansas/Oklahoma trip... but still looking at travel dates!) R.D.
  16. I looked at a few of the manufacturers' rides on RCDB... and I'm terrified now- they are the ones who have built knockoff Arrow Corkscrews and such- and that frightens me.
  17. 1.) CF101: Who said you couldn't build a wingrider? I know it wasn't me. Did somebody else tell you not to? 2.) Tiger, you didn't read my post. At all. Nor did you read AJ's either. We both said the exact same thing: How about some ORIGINALITY here? Either way, Both of you will enjoy your break I'm sure. The reason I posted up was to encourage people NOT TO FORGET ABOUT OTHER RIDES. And that's it. Forgive me if I'm allowed to express an opinion- and to be treated as being rude as such.
  18. Annapolis just cried a bit... It's not on a coast- but rather, part of the Chesapeake Bay- and not really a beach/coastal community- yes, lots of water, but you'd be better off putting it along the Atlantic Seaboard... or better: none of your suggestions were West Coast destinations: For example, Santa Cruz, Monterrey, Vista Beach, Santa Barbara, Santa Maria, Portland, Seattle, etc. Monterrey would be a great place for a ball park, IMO.
  19. AJ: Spot on. I played with my wingrider, grew tired with it, and have returned to making things in the glory of His name, amen. Braz and CF101; Not really- Without hacks/mods/cheats/trainers, you couldn't really build those rides- and considering RCT II was -new- the year TTD was announced, it wasn't even really played with- as the game was still new when TTD opened. Sure, it's a new and original idea, but let's face it: It's starting to spread around like the end-all, be-all ride. Did anyone forget about some of the other new innovations now springing up? Intamin Edgerider trains? The elongated Hypercoaster Trains for B&M? Newgen Spinners? It seems that there's a lot of hype over one ride type- and others are seemingly forgotten in the dust. As I watch over the thread the past few pages, it's been wingrider, wingrider, wingrider, woodie, wingrider, wingrider.... YAWN, folks, YAWN.
  20. The black colors work well with the site- but I'd re-think the loop a bit, and refine the drop/raise the lift. Although it's a pain in the ass, a large-scale loop would look magnificent there, and would eliminate the need for the straight rack in the middle of the curve before the drop. You could, at the same time, raise the lift hill up, and extend the track for the height there. Other than that, looks good, I think.
  21. Beast was painted Brown for many years, and still retains this treatment in part. In later years it has been less of an issue, but out of the box was painted.
  22. ASK QUESTIONS! DON'T JUST GUESS!
  23. Thanks. You know they're both the same ride, right? The floor sections drop down so the arms can tilt. LOL- My refernce point is to a line 'peeps' say in RCT II... "Just looking at ride XXXX makes me feel sick."
  24. Just got a chance to see it- and the coasters are much improved. Keep it up- and I'll be dropping in from time to time to see what you're up to ride-wise (Not that I'm picky, but I think the better term is "specific"...) R.D.
