  1. I think the Canadian reputation of politeness and cleanliness must have been made true and thus left a big impression on you. I like to think it makes a difference. I must agree on operations. Even the Great Cedar Point suffers from frequent breakdowns. Aside from Windseeker, a down ride, especially coasters, at Wonderland is very rare. *cough cough* Sledgehammer *cough*
  2. Actually, I think it's a Topper Track launched Wacky Worm with a cobra roll.
  3. Wood: Grizzly at CGA. That ride is actually my first or second favorite wooden coaster (with Colossus @ SFMM). If nothing else, it's very re-rideable. Steel: Some people don't really like Tatsu at Magic Mountain, but it's currently my favorite coaster out there. I'll probably enjoy other B&M flyers, too.
  4. Well, I rode Roar West, but either I'm unusually susceptible to headaches or it doesn't like me :/
  5. ^What happened to the Statix trains? Also, their B&M kits are always out of stock. Is the company still going?
  6. If you're talking about order built: Arrow: Matterhorn Bobsleds B&M: Flight Deck Bradley & Kaye: Timberline Twister @ KBF Dinn: Grizzly GCI: Roar IAD/NAD: Colossus @ SFMM Intamin/Schwarzkopf: Revolution @ SFMM Premier: Revenge of the Mummy Prior and Church: Giant Dipper SCBB Vekoma: Space Mountain @ DLR Zierer: Cobra That's off the top of my head. Either way, it would be almost the same except for the fact that I rode California Screamin' before Revolution.
  7. That Manta model is epic! It makes me want to forget about my favorite roller coaster (Tatsu) and go with #2, Alpengeist
  8. For reference, these are my current launcher credits: Intamin: -V2 (SFDK) -California Screamin' Premier: -Superman: Ultimate Flight (SFDK) -Revenge of the Mummy (USH) Zierer: -Verbolten At this point, I think I prefer Intamins. The others I've tried often have several gradual launches, but California Screamin' and V2 have nice, quick launches.
  9. This is just the parks that I find ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY to visit in my lifetime. -Alton Towers -Canada's Wonderland -Carowinds -Cedar Point -Kings Dominion -Kings Island -Nagashima Spa Land -Six Flags Great Adventure -Six Flags Magic Mountain again (just four more credits!) -Six Flags New England -Walt Disney World's parks In terms of rides for those parks: -The Smiler and Nemesis -Leviathan and Behemoth -Stealth - erm, Nighthawk, Intimidator, and Afterburn -Millennium Force, Maverick, and Top Thrill Dragster -I305 and Volcano -Diamondback, The Beast, Banshee, The Racer, and Firehawk -Steel Dragon 2000, Shuttle Loop, and Ultra Twister -Kingda Ka, El Toro, and Nitro -S:EFK and Apocalypse -Bizarro and Goliath -Space Mountain, Tower of Terror, RnRC, Expedition Everest 2014 Edit: Finished off Knott's except for some "meh" rides, and I still have BTR, Apocalypse, SEFK, and GR left at SFMM.
  10. Wait, Cirque Dreams is leaving? Meh. Maybe next year (May 3) I can ride all of the major rollercoasters and even some flats!
  11. You must have been very determined to ride Psycho Mouse
  12. I saw this place on Xtreme Waterparks a few weeks ago, and I have to say that it looks very fun! It might make my bucket list...
  13. I was about to ask the same thing. The dueling bowl slides and SplashRally looked pretty cool.
  14. I know waterslides would be kinda nice, but seeing as I don't know many people who go to waterparks, I think that this park will eventually need a new steel coaster. My crazy idea is to replace Action Theater and/or FireFall with a EuroFighter, Intamin MegaLite, or what-have-you, which would expand through Tidal Wave's old space into the Invertigarden.
  15. I had been wondering where this TR was. Thank you for the wonderful pictures!
  16. Isn't Alpengeist the current full-circuit record holder?
  17. Nice TR! You have much more luck with lines than I do. On my last SFDK visit, three of five rides we fit in had 30+ minute waits!
  18. Nice TR! Maybe someday I'll have to check that place out.
  19. Thank you for this nice little PTR!
  20. According to Screamscape, SFA is also considering a family Vekoma suspended coaster (Freedom Flyer at Fun Spot America, Kvasten at Grona Lund, etc.) Sounds like a nice addition if this proposal is selected.
  21. My thoughts and prayers are to the family right now. That being said, I think the people on Twitter saying that every rollercoaster needs OTSRs may be going a bit too far...
  22. Go to CGA. It gives you a lot more choices if you don't want to visit what is essentially a zoo (2/3 of SFDK). The only reason I couldn't ride everything at SFDK last time was because there were LOOONG wait times.
  23. 1) Alpengeist - Rode this last week. That was easily the most intense coaster I've ever been on. 2) V2 @ SFDK - Haters gonna hate 3) Flight Deck @ CGA - Quite intense for its small size. 4) SLCs (Kong for me) - Ouch.
  24. I was 4 years old when my parents took me to DLR for the first time (which is why I actually kind of liked DCA 1.0). I probably rode the Matterhorn and Gadget's Go Coaster, but I think I became obsessed with theme parks in general. I read every guidebook and roller coaster book I could find (like Robert Coker's book ). My fear went from "Space Mountain is too intense for me" to (last week) "Yay! Griffon!" Now, about drop towers...
