  1. I called it with the AquaTrax, didn't I?
  2. I'm a skinny dude and I also think GL hurts, just because you tend to get body-slammed forward and backward on the drops.
  3. But wouldn't it make so much more sense if Mr. Freeze had the most consistent and powerful A/C in the park?
  4. Yeah...I'm admittedly jealous about all of these "never in America" things. Makes me think I should move to Europe or Japan or something...
  5. Here's an idea: Perhaps Centurion is the name of the rumored KD WMG-type ride? Sounds similar to Wonder Mountain's Guardian, so that might work. As for Fury 325, that's obviously NOT going to KD (unless they want to be redundant?) and will certainly be a giga coaster, presumably at Carowinds.
  6. Is it just me or could this legitimately be an AquaTrax? I'm looking at some of the first clues...the mention of the boat, intense storms, etc. actually seem to point in that direction. I think I read the possibility a couple pages back that perhaps Intamin gave HW a "rain check" due to the issues with Pilgrims Plunge/Giraffica, but could that mean a cheaper AquaTrax? Just dreaming here...
  7. I was watching a video of SFMM's old Deja Vu ( ), and there were plenty of hilarious comments And the golden error...
  8. Since we ended up getting SF season passes at SFMM, we might try to use them elsewhere later. Based on work travel stuff, we will likely visit SFGAm, SFGAdv, or SFNE. Or not...you never know.
  9. MIA...like the acronym for Michigan's Adventure... Maybe that's where it's going? Ladies and gentlemen, you heard it here first
  10. I rode it last week and had no problems with roughness. Forgot to give a report-type thing...but I'll summarize it here. -Got 6 new credits (Silver Bullet, Xcelerator, Pony Express, GhostRider, Montezooma's Revenge, and Jaguar). I enjoyed Silver Bullet and Xcelerator in particular, though GhostRider actually wasn't awful. I actually prefer GR to Colossus and Grizzly now because they're both rather bland (I don't remember Colossus very well, however...) -We seem to have run into a lot of graduating classes on our visit, hence our skipping of some other unclaimed credits (not that Boomerang, Coast Rider, and Sierra Sidewinder were major bummers ). I also had wanted to try Screamin' Swing, Supreme Scream, and the log flume, but ain't nobody got time fo dat -I saw some e-cigarette smoking in several lines...not cool. I mean, yes, it didn't really have the stench of other tobacco products, but parks nonetheless don't want this happening outside smoking areas...right? I enjoyed my day, even if it wasn't necessarily perfect. That is all
  11. Someday I WILL do one of these TPR events one way or another. Heck, I'm even desperate to do WCB. But ain't nobody got time/money fo dat
  12. Could have been awesome if not for the evil trains deciding to crank the seat up an extra notch or two...
  13. Let's not start the nickname appropriateness debate again...
  14. Yikes Perhaps this is from one of the new Wanda or Fantawild parks? I'm not very current on construction of Chinese theme parks, but that seems like a fairly reasonable guess.
  15. 1. There were probably 2 from what I saw, but the line was still ridiculous. 2. I've done that successfully on CGA's Vortex, but our seats on Riddler were being difficult. They went to the top and wouldn't move until an op came by our car and moved everything down; even so, the seat went up 2 or so notches on its own after that (and even on the lift ). I found that a bit odd...
  16. I went to the park yesterday and had a great day despite an initial hiccup. We ended up having to buy season passes because that was the cheapest way to get six of us in after we learned our AAA discount was online-only (despite conflicting information and a poorly-designed website), and since we had driven from Anaheim that morning, we didn't get in the park until about noon. (NOTE: We have a few regular season passes now; these do allow entry to any park in the chain, right? If so, we might try to use them at a new park in the fall.) Rides: -YOLO (#47; 45 min) WOW! That was a lot better than I expected. Several spots have INSANE negative-G action! -Tatsu (35 min?) Still a great ride. The pretzel loop remains the single most intense element I have experienced. -X2 (#48; 40 min?) My new #1...my brother's reaction to this ride was priceless. -Attempted to ride Namtab, but the line was glacial. Is there only 1 train during backwards operations? -Green Lantern (#49; 10 min w/ single rider line) Was all right; the body slams on the "turns" created some whiplash and a bit of a headache. -The Riddler's Revenge (#50!; 45 min) I wanted to like this ride, but because the seats are hard to move in the station, it became painful to my upper thighs. Otherwise, it was a good ride. After 4 consecutive days of theme parks, my family was tired, so we decided to stop there. It was a good day.
  17. Lance at Screamscape has a post up that seems to reflect a lot of what various forum members have said. Here's the abridged version:
  18. Is Sierra Sidewinder open right now? I'm going next week and hope I don't miss the credit by a few days.
  19. It would only make sense if a Dragon Khan clone was involved Especially after the mess that was Drachen Fire...
  20. Could this mean...? Kind of interesting, though, how we've seen several rides that were once record-breakers that are being torn down or re-imagined. I sure hope this ride gets the RMC treatment rather than the Rolling Thunder treatment...
  21. CW already had a shooter dark ride as well, so I wouldn't be too surprised if KD gets its own WMG-esque ride.
  22. Nice TR! Yeah...Disneyland is certainly compact (as you mentioned the congested pathways), but I like that better than the insane sprawl that is WDW. (One of many reasons why I unfortunately haven't been there yet...)
  23. 1) Rides that I know will cause pain. (ex. SLCs, some woodies) 2) Anything of the "seems legit" variety. (ex. skycoasters, slingshots, fair rides)
  24. I've only been able to try SCBB's Double Shot and DCA's ToT and Maliboomer. At this point, ToT probably takes the cake there, even though the other two were also great. I will hopefully add CGA's Drop Tower, KBF's Supreme Scream, and LLDoD to my list in the next few months. EDIT: But Blue Fall and any Intamin 1st Gen are on my bucket list, even with the KER-CHUNK (that's what makes it special!)
