  1. ^Yeah. Some of the information is from Wikipedia and could be outdated/flat-out wrong. Please let me know if there are any other discrepancies.
  2. I'll only be there for one day, and I probably won't make it there right when it opens for reasons beyond my control.
  3. I've been searching through the forum for information on which rides in which parks have single rider lines, but I figured that consolidating all of this information into one place would help significantly. 4. Yeah, I'd heard about GL, RR, Revolution, Viper, and Lex's single-rider lines. Where are GL's and RR's single-rider lines, though? I did some Google Street View walking through the park and I couldn't seem to find them. I presume they're in the rides' exits?
  5. ^ and ^^ Thanks. Is Screamin' Swing still an upcharge?
  6. If you're going on a Monday in April, I would assume you'll be fine. Some people might be on spring break, but other than that I wouldn't expect large crowds.
  7. Pleasant: Verbolten - I knew it would be fun, but everyone was saying, "It's not that intense." I honestly think it was about as forceful as some of the other coasters there. Unpleasant: Griffon...it's a good ride, but it seemed a bit over-hyped. That, or perhaps it's because I'm not really scared of most roller coasters anymore. Also unpleasant: My second ride on Roar @ SFDK. I hadn't known what to expect from this particular ride, but I'd heard good things about GCIs in general. It turns out that whenever you gain a significant amount of speed, the ride tries to rattle you to death. I had a nasty headache afterwards. Maybe that's because I was in the back, but it was just too painful to enjoy. That's too bad, because it had some decent forces to it.
  8. Hello! I'm embarking on a SoCal excursion at the beginning of June, and it seems I will be at Knott's on a Tuesday or Wednesday. Granted, though I'm not familiar with KBF, I understand that it doesn't have waits like, say, SFMM. Since I'm not going to use FastLane, what kind of crowds should I expect? Basically, I'm trying to hit every major coaster here if possible (yes, even GhostRider), as well as non-coasters like Screamin' Swing, Supreme Scream, and Timber Mountain Log Ride. Would I be able to accomplish this on such a day? Of course, suggestions for other rides to try out would be appreciated. Your thoughts?
  9. Hello! I'm visiting SFMM on a Thursday at the beginning of June, and I will not be using any sort of Flash Pass. What kind of crowds should I expect? (Of course, I understand that X2 and YOLO will probably have long lines through 99.9% of days, GL is generally a slow loader, etc.) The following coasters are new credits to me, and I hope to hit as many as possible (in approximate order of importance): -X2 -S:EFK -GL -YOLO -BTR -Apocalypse -Riddler -Lex (not a coaster, but would be interesting to try nonetheless) -Goldrusher I'm hearing that starting at YOLO and proceeding counter-clockwise around the park is a decent game plan, and ditto for riding X2 during a meal time. Your thoughts?
  10. We'll see how long this lasts before SF decides to shun the international market yet again...
  11. Roar and Kong at SFDK, as well as parts of CGA's Demon. I found no trouble with the Boomerang for whatever reason. Heck, might as well add Matterhorn Bobsleds.
  12. Is the backwards thing for Batman for the whole season, or just a month or two? They haven't really said anything about that...
  13. Does anyone know for sure if there are individual lap bars now? It would be a shame if that was the case.
  14. Okay, just a heads-up: I am a HUGE Disney geek. DLR: My obvious favorite. Space Mountain and California Screamin' are surprisingly intense, but still not to the level of most coasters in that respect. Everything is impeccably detailed and themed; I've gone 20-ish times and I'm still discovering new gags and theming elements. The food is great, as is Downtown Disney and the nearby hotels. KBF: I can't rate it fairly, as I only visited when I was a rather small 6-year-old. SFMM: I haven't been on all the coasters, but most we're quite fun. Personally, Tatsu is my top coaster (I didn't get to try X2), and Goliath etc. are really enjoyable. That being said, if you're looking for theming, you will be disappointed (though I think it's still better than SFDK for that and other reasons). USH: I'm probably in the minority here, but I was not very impressed with USH. Call it a case of Disney fandom, but I just couldn't find any way in which it would beat DLR. You'd have a good day at any of these, but if I had to choose one park it would be Disneyland. Beyond that, DCA>SFMM>KBF?>USH.
  15. Gold Striker for me in May, then I *MIGHT* be able to go to Cedar Point in June.
  16. CGA seems to need one, due to the lack of better-than-average steel coasters (except Flight Deck). If nothing else, just add tunnels or rocks or something "New at CGA! An intense steel coaster with REALLY BIG ROCKS!" Or maybe not...
  17. Verbolten is my favorite here (sorry, Space Mountain). See, you guys called it a family coaster, so that's what I told my brothers. When they got off, though, they remarked that it was way too intense to fall into this category. The freefall drop even surprised me, and the outdoor elements are very forceful. That ride kicked butt.
  18. Allow me to amend my previous statement: it could certainly end up being better than I expect. But again, time will tell.
  19. These renovations unnerve me. I think Autopia should be retained, as it's still quite popular and a classic. I don't particularly care about Innoventions, but some may be nostalgic about the Carousel Theater. As for the Rocket Jets thing, how would that work? Would they be blocking the view of Space Mountain? In that case, I might object. The Cantina? Yes, but my brother and legions of others will be mad if it's not accurate in terms of design and menu. Millennium Falcon? Call me skeptical. I'm aware that I sound like an overzealous fanboy, and that's because I am one (unfortunately). Then again, it's not official, so I'll have to wait and see.
  20. Shockwave and NTAG are operational.....Flying Turns is up and running....All is right in the world! Though Storm Runner is going through renovation, Dollywood is having bee problems, and X2's lift chain is broken...:/
  21. Nice video! Loved the music Also, what's that coaster in your intro?
