One month ago I was 10.2 lbs heavier! Proud of myself for actually making progress Might be able to ride Wicked Twister in 2 weeks? Haven't been on that ride in a long time... -

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe it's a clone of Kings Islands "Bat*, except much cooler because there is a mountain It really is a great, underrated ride, though. I always make a point to get on it, so much fun. -

Good stuff! I will likely be there next Sunday. I bought a fast lane plus in advance during the winter (one without a date attached to it) in case I have the urge to ride over and over, but I'll likely save it for a busier day. But who knows 8) There is the 1 hour pass holder ERT on Sundays which I feel not many know about whenever we go. Yukon Striker is included on May 5. -

The other thing with Dragster is they sometimes only load the front few rows in the mornings. Then they will take off a chain a little later on. Then another a little later on. So they aren't loading full trains right away so capacity is down a little bit in the morning. But you should be waiting for the front, regardless 8) -

AndrewA86 is petty much spot on from my suggested route as well as being a regular. I would usually group in Gatekeeper to the "later in the day" with Raptor. (We go on Sundays and generally call this after 3p and are usually are last rides on the way out if we don't want to go back and do any rerides). The only thing different is when it is busier I always try to make Dragster the 10:00 ride vs Valravn. Other than that, this advice is solid. Option 2, if it's busier, same thing but skip SV and just deal with the line later in the day because Maverick and Millennium CAN fill up quick starting at 10 so I usually get everything else out of the way. You will still be stuck with a long line at SV but that first hour is crucial and you don't want to waste the entire first hour in that line. Oftentimes they also couldn't get SV open on time, either. Option 3: Marathon Millennium Force for a full hour of early entry. Good luck! -
Cool review. I pretty much agree with everything you said, minus Hangtime because it wasn't open yet. I've ridden Darien Lake'sTantrum and Knoebels' Impulse which I'm assuming is the same manufacturer, and agree that I came off a bit conflicted. The layouts are fine and graceful but for whatever reason I don't know if it's the train size or what but I always just feel they were OK when they look like great rides (granted I've only ridden each twice). I dunno. Anyways, what the heck is Mystery Lodge -- I can't remember if it was closed both times I've been to Knott's or we just walked past it. I feel like I wouldn't have just walked past it because I like quirky things. No spoilers, but is it a ride? Or... maybe it should remain a MYSTERY.

What Was The Last Coaster You Rode?

Skyrush at Hershey. Damn I love this ride. The ride was a walk-on but I only got to ride twice since it closed down for the day in the afternoon right when I was about to get my third ride. Oh well. At least I got on twice and didn't come to the ride any later than I did! -

If the preview nights at other cedar fair parks for new rides are any indication, it's going to be crazy busy to get on Yukon Striker. Then again, CW might be different, but history at other parks say good luck... lol -
^ Sorry, I should have said other parks --don't always-- take them into consideration and stictly stick to policy. I'm only speaking when it comes to rerides. A recent trip to SeaWorld pissed off an elderly man who clearly had troubles walking long distances and taking small steps, had trouble going up stairs, I was behind him going through the queue. He wanted to ride again with 6 or 7 rows empty on Mako but they said he couldn't ride again. The point was he didn't have an alternate access pass and wanted to be like everyone else... he wanted to ride again and they said no. That was just one recent example that came to mind.

Seriously? You have NO IDEA what these people go through. At Six Flags they require a Dr's note to prevent those trying to take advantage. Keep that in mind next time. They even have to wait in a virtual queue with the program. They are one of the strictess when it comes to this. I can think of several disabilities and diseases that wouldn't allow people to wait in a standard queue but still be able to go on rides.

I gotta say, I absolutely HATE parks when there is an empty station and ops will make you walk all the way around to ride again... and not even exaduratingly empty, but literally empty... Six Flags this morning did not disappoint. At Nitro we didn't even ask and the guy was even announcing over the speaker that if you want to stay on the ride and you are in an empty row you may do so. We rode the back row 5 times in a row without getting up. So good!! One little thing like this made our day so much more enjoyable. I get so frustrated at other parks when it's an 8 minute walk around every single time. They don't take mobility issues into consideration, either. Anyway, we had an awesome day. Ka in the front row seemed extra crazy today for some reason, I've never felt a launch so intense and smooth from that ride. For the first time ever I'd say I even prefer it to Dragster. Safari ride to ourselves (just me and my wife, we got a private tour!) no line at all the rides for the first few hours... unfortunately wind and mechanical breakdowns were a common theme but we got on everything we wanted minus Joker before 4pm. And yes, that was several hours after opening. The park was a scary ghostown DEAD until 2 or so? Toro only had one train so when I wanted to re-ride around 4p the line was crawling so I only got one ride in unfortunately. Had I known I would have gotten my skip the lines for that ride. Oh well. The Lions on the "new" walkway were amazing and played with us through the glass (they were probably just hungry and wanted to eat us) The baby bear they hand held was also adorable AF though I didn't get a photo as they were taking him away right when we arrived. Only actual minor complaint was it literally took about 8 minutes for them to give me a bottle of water as a snack on the dining plan at the BBQ place. We were the only ones there and it took 3 people to come over to the register and about 8 scans to my membership card for them to get it right. Such a minor inconvenience but that's all I can really think of operational wise. Tip: for those that don't like free water (I don't get the bottled water thing, but my wife on the other hand....) they cost an outrageous 5.49 (5.79?) ea or 2 for 10 at all the stands, but the vending machines still have them for 4.50. lol what a deal. Memberships would bring down the cost but thought I'd mention this huge money saving tip. Hershey tomorrow!

So I started eating KETO just this past Sunday... Miraculously lost 8 lbs already. 248 down to 239.8. I have no idea how, considering how much bacon and avocados I've eaten this week, but I did. And I haven't really cut my enormous portions of things, just stayed completely away from carbs and sugar. Exercised a little by running up and down stairs at work, but not too much. Have 2 amusement parks this weekend so I'm packing a cooler and getting a lot of walking in. I not only lost the weight but I feel thinner too. Less of a staple on El Toro, coming up. I can get used to this. Just gotta keep it up and stay away from all the junk. I've switched to unsweetened iced tea and I think I'm finally starting to get used to it after notoriously drinking southern sweet tea the past few years. Good luck to everyone, you can do this! I never thought I'd get out of my funk, but I'm REALLY trying this time. -
Noticed this interesting tidbit on the opening weekend camping deals site: "Due to being a seasonal employer, limited rides and attractions may only be available before June 21st or after August 18th. Some rides may have limited hours – or be rotated during the day. Tantrum is not scheduled to open until after May 25th." I know they've done limited rides but not opening Tantrum until May 25th seems weird. I thought maybe it was old / from last year but everything else on the page talks about 2019.

During my brief visit during fright fest it seemed like every location had those little (probably frozen) personal pan pizzas in the little food heater e-z-bake oven thing... which tasted god-awful. If they bring back the real stuff that is a huge step up. I also like that you can get fruit as a substitute (I know, I know). ^ seriously what it looked like and tasted like. From the place next to Predator.

I'll be making the long trek for a visit on Saturday. Rain is only forecasted for the morning at this point but we are still a ways away for it to be reliable. I'll take the chance, if it closes early @ 4 for some reason I'd be ok with that (we typically only do half days at parks cause we get a lot done in the morning and we're old ), we still have Hershey the next day 8) -- if they don't open at all due to the weather the previous night/into the morning, well, we'll have to find something to do.... but still have Hershey the next day 8) so this trip won't be a total loss, worst case scenario. I doubt they would close the entire day. But then again, it's Six Flags and I've been screwed over before.
