Great report! I went to the food festival opening weekend and it was awesome. Made it through about 9 food items and the other 6 ended up being some frozen alcoholic drinks. All the food I had was excellent (I think I only had two that you featured so the other abundant options are awesome as well). You are right about the portion sizes and liked it more than food and wine at Disney (that being said it's been like 6 years ) More I wanted to taste but just too much for one day, even for me.

My first job in Florida was Gwazi ride operator (they were going to give me Rhino Rally but I still had a NY license at the time) .... not at all sad at all to see it go, lol, but it's what started me down the career path to SeaWorld! And subsequently out of the industry all together, lol. That ride was horrendous to operate, especially in the heat. Bye, Felecia! Can't wait to make it back in 2020 8)

Carowinds Discussion Thread

^ Cedar Point is the only park to offer this perk that I am aware of (and it's for those with Platinum, and has to be done in-park). It's not on the benefits page for Carowinds and every park I've been to I've always asked and they look at me cluelessly. Even had them scan me at Dominion and the computer specifically said no discounts available for Fast Lane. Never hurts to try -

"We stayed at the Super 8 Danville off of I-80 and it was super worth it." I don't know why I found that so funny. I guess I'm just picturing a really cheesy commercial... (I have nothing else to add and know nothing about this hotel ) -
1) You can just get a ticket to HHN without a daytime ticket. The advantage to having a daytime ticket is you can stay in a "holding area" during the transition inside the park and get first dibs on some of the houses. 2) Honestly now a days any day is a busy day, but I'll let someone else speak to that. They have certain tickets that are good certain days and certain lengths of time for the locals and they flood the park any chance they have with their "season pass" of sorts. One ticket is good for unlimited visits the first few weeks, the other is good for unlimited visits certain days off the week. I haven't looked at this years options so this may have changed. 3) Unfortunately it's one big conga line, which really limits the scares. They don't let in small groups due to the sheer crowds and moving as many people as they can through at one time as possible.

Nursery was closed a few weeks ago, no mention of when it would be back open anywhere. Infinity Falls was closed for refurb but I think it might be back open now. Almost the entire kids area is closed due to the Sesame Street construction. Edit: ------ wrong ----- A lot of stuff closed and not outlined in one spot on the website unfortunately. The other SeaWorld parks have a special page but Orlando does not. ----- wrong ------- I would call the park or rely on someone who lives close by

I went to the Animal Kingdom after hours and used my night ticket to book 2 fast passes between 7-8:00p a few weeks ahead of time. So yes, you don't need a daytime ticket to book fast passes at all. I didn't have any other Disney tickets my entire trip. I did remember reading there can be some weird things if you try to maybe book using both tickets the same day, or have an extended stay that crosses over with it, or something weird like that, but I don't remember the details or where I was reading about it. It may be old information at this point too; sorry I don't remember the circumstances but it had to be resolved with guest services. I had no issues whatsoever, though, everything just worked. Had an awesome time, despite not knowing what was off limits and getting lost when there's nobody to follow around in the park in the dark, lol... EDIT: found this ----- "DAH tickets will allow for FP booking during regular park hours, so - if you have no other FPs booked that day - one could book FPs during with a DAH ticket during the regular park hours before the event. HOWEVER, there can be issues when doing this, as has been happening for some people with MNSSHP and MVMCP events since 2017. Booking FPs with DAH tickets in combination with certain trip details/configurations can potentially cause Disney's system to flag your account for insufficient ticket entitlements and you will receive a warning that your last day of FPs will be cancelled if you do not address the problem.Who and exactly why people get this warning remains elusive. Bottom line - if you choose to book FPs with your DAH ticket entitlement and you have FPs booked on other days with regular park admission - you have some potential risk of receiving this warning... so keep an eye out"

I think I read that they were taking OFF the handles. They had added them mid season I don't know exactly when, but now they are taking them off again. Apparently they were causing some discomfort for riders when both were holding on. I think the "strap" on the outside of each seat will remain, though. -
Last waffle House I went to had ants everywhere. Gave it some charm. It must be like the Knoebels of the breakfast world to you guys mmmmm... charm. BGW is always the first park to open near me (and when I say near me I mean 9 hours lol); really want to go back, as always. Alpingeist is a great ride I just don't know where to rank it. I feel like sometimes I ride it it's totally insane and other times it's "just" pretty damn good. I do love me some inverts. I love how many ciders and alcoholic non-beers that bar has, always a favorite. Great report!

When this is the line and you're still forced to go around, walk a mile and 6 flights of stairs just to ride again...
