  1. lol@the repeated use of the word "goth" lol@insinuating that no "goth person" is allowed to smile or have fun or do anything unrelated to "being goth" Anyway some of those girls would be hot if they you know, didn't try to look dead. Like the chick on the left in the first picture. Hmmm... Were all these people really there for just the haunted mansion? Because that's kinda stupid if it's true. And if it's not, shame on the LA Times for thinking goth people can only enjoy spooky shit. These captions are stupid. Anyway, the end [of my rant].
  2. I imagine everything will be opened as soon as it's "safe" to do so [ie: as soon as the rain passes], barring any mechanical issues. I also imagine that SOMEWHERE inside the giant amusement park with a hundred attractions and restaurants and crap, there would be a place for you to stand if it rains. I hate topics like these. These and those "WHAT PICS SHOULD I TAKE" topics. Both are basically forum-cluttering and provide very little actual usefulness. Go away!
  3. If each "bar" on the height counter denotes an equal amount, then you are wrong. The height counter currently says 87 feet, and 16 bars are lit up. So do the math: 87/16=5.4375, so that means each bar should equal 5.4375 feet. I counted all the bars on the meter, and there are 45 bars. So, do the math again: 5.4375*45=244.6875, which means if the measurements are equal, the bar would max out at 244.6875 feet, I would say 244 feet and 7 inches or so. If that is the actual height of the coaster, that pretty much screams Hyper Coaster, and not a Floorless, and that would make it B&M's largest coaster so far, taller than Silver Star by about 5 feet. ^
  4. Well those curvy pieces definitely look less like parts of an inversion than people were saying. Nice pics! We were thinking of heading out today as well to check out the scene, but it was too damn hot.
  5. Oh god the second picture makes me think "flyer". I'd take hyper. Floorless. Inverted. WhATEVER. BUT NO FLYER. I HATE FLYERS.
  6. Aw man, 10 slyders? That's terrible, I couldn't even handle four Those things are gross. Did they have the rock 'em sock 'em robots running on Adventure Express' second lift hill?!
  7. Quebec = barely Canada, so 175 feet is a new high for Real Canada.
  8. Hey I'll take $25! I can get Nikki something nice!
  9. Eight minutes. God, what an awful day that was. I had to wait five minutes for a ride TWICE. But then EIGHT MINUTES, that's insane. I can't believe people sometimes wait for ten minutes for a ride! I couldn't do that. Eight minutes nearly left me ready to kill the people in front of us!
  10. The waterslide story is outstanding, I only wish to see videos or pictures of the incident. great update, I'm pumped for Avalanche!!!
  11. Nikki and I have stayed at the Hojo Express right near the causeway entrance, and yeah it's pretty ghetto. It's incredibly cheap, but horribly ghetto. There's another cheap spot around there... EconoLodge I think? Also quite ghetto, but again, one of the cheaper places you can find in the area. Last time we went, we stayed at the Knight's Inn about five minutes from the causeway... it's a bit further east than most of the other hotels, but as you're driving along the road to the causeway you'll pass it. We ended up spending awhile there as we got sick and had to miss a day of coasters, so we're pretty familiar with the room. It had a fridge and microwave, so if you're staying for a couple days, that can be handy. Depending on when you're going, the rates for it will probably be quite good. I know when we go to CP next month, we're staying there at around $57CAD per night, so it's pretty affordable.
  12. Hey don't forget about this guy Edit: 250ft log flume with a 100ft Canadian flag on top
  13. Trust me, we've been considering it since we heard, we just haven't been able to get the funds in the right place at the right time. We're accepting donations though The Night Parrots sketch was my favourite, though the backwards "MURDER" in the CP Blackout made me laugh, too. Awesome work
  14. Let's see... New York Pennsylvania Ohio Massachusetts Connecticut Maryland Virginia West Virginia North Carolina South Carolina Georgia Florida Kentucky Tennessee Indiana Michigan Illinois Wisconsin 19/50 Also I've driven through DC, but I don't know that that counts as American territory [as per Stephen Colbert] Soon to add Minnesota to the list, and next year will add Missouri. I also may have driven through Vermont, though I am unsure.
  15. Whatever it is, I'm preparing for mediocrity. Wonderland doesn't exactly have much of a track record with good, original, rides. So I expect a clone or an underwhelmingly designed original ride. But I'm a pessimist.
  16. ^ as the poster said in the exact same post,
  17. Well we managed to finish the pint of it after eating gigantor plates of pasta with awesome DEL GROSSO sauce... okay well Nikki's plate was a lot smaller than mine, but you know. But it's definitely worth buying if you get the chance, and not just because it's COLBERT ICE CREAM, it actually tastes awesome. I'm assuming they were spraying each other with Faygo in a display of stupidity. Seeing the group of them standing there like that was ridiculous. Robb took some pictures of them in smaller groups, maybe they'll make it into the official TPR updates
  18. Yes but was it EXTREEEEME?! Also, White Castle sucks. But I guess half the taste of their burgers is those little onion things, and man do I hate onions. Kings Island is a dump, can't argue there.
  19. Another awesome TR. I'm really liking to originality of all the pictures from some of the TRs, this one is no doubt near the top of the list! Can't wait to see more. I think I'm too excited for all of these TRs haha
  20. Awesome! I can't believe you got that much stuff done on a Friday!
  21. Man, it must suck for you guys to be there for eight hours, post your awesome video about it, and then have everyone else come in and laugh about how they only waited less than one for a ride Thanks for sharing the video. Seeing all of the various adventures, in-jokes and hilarity from the mid-west trip from everyone is a lot of fun!
  22. Oh awesome, the Dippin' Dots rollercoaster is sick! What'd Ian think of them? I love those little bastards.
  23. I figured that if anyone would notice the Curves gym in a damn barn just outside of Indiana Beach... well, after reading the first bits of this TR, it would be Wes. But alas it was not to be. However this is GOLD, I say. GOLD. Looking forward to the rest. The octopus thing is terrifying, btw. You've ruined my sleep.
  24. Haha, I figure that was you, too. What I heard was someone yelling something, and then about ten steps later I realized that it was the guy with the Jays hat yelling "GO JAYS", and by that time it was too late to turn around and say something. I actually kept my eye out for you later in the day because I wanted to say hey, but alas it was not to be!
