  1. Yeah, this is not going to happen... I do agree that Fiesta Village could use some more love. Hopefully, a nice flat ride will be put onto Windseeker's spot.
  2. I really doubt Knott's is going to shove a Eurofighter in there. Plus, I don't think there's enough space for even the smallest Eurofighter model.
  3. Only 12. I'll be at 13 after this weekend. Also, I noticed a lot of the images were taken from Theme Park Review.
  4. It looks like you have a good start. My only complaint is how high SFMM is ranked.
  5. I'm thinking that your definition of "one directional turns" means that there are many consecutive turns going in the same direction (left, right). So, these are the sequence of turns on Red Thunder & Samurai: Red Thunder: Right, Right, Right, Left, Left, Right, Left Samurai: Right, Right, Right, Right, Left I do agree that they are repetitive, though the compact space of Samurai & Red Thunder did not allow that much of a fluctuation of the turns. Also, Arrow Hypers and TOGO Stand Up coasters typically have this problem. Here's some examples: Desperado: Left, Left, Right, Right, Right, Right, Left, Left, Right, Right Big One: Right, Right, Right, Left, Left, Left, Right, Left, Left, Left, Left, Left Skyrider & King Cobra (KI): Right, Right, Right, Right ------------ About the blocky style of Playland, it has a lot to do with, again, the compact design of the park. Also, it has to do with how it is based off parks like SCBB, CP, & Blackpool that have many pathways that are straight. Plus, there really isn't much I can do about it since I finished the park over six months ago. Most of the future coasters of Playland will have many turns. Thanks. Thanks.
  6. ^^This is looking really good. It seems to be all NCSO.
  7. I really hope this is sarcasm. If it is, that's one good piece of sarcasm!
  8. Prepare yourselves for one heck of an update! Playland's new roller coaster has been announced with the name "Red Thunder"! Stats for new coaster: Manufacturer: Arrow Height: 150 feet Drop: 137 feet Speed: 68 mph Length: 4173 feet 11 drops 01/03/1992: Construction on the station and supports started! 02/23/1992: Over a month later, most of the lift hill track and the brake run were constructed. 03/15/1992: Lift hill and first drop track and the airtime hills behind the lift were built. 03/15/1992: A wall of supports have been built behind the Sierra Mountain River Run. 03/15/1992: Some of Red Thunder's track sitting in the parking lot. 04/09/1992: Supports have been built rapidly in the weeks before this photograph. Here you can see that the supports are even being built on top of some of the backstage buildings. 05/29/1992: All of Red Thunder's track has been completed. Here's the second hill. 05/29/1992: The bottom of the first drop. 05/29/1992: The completed turn over the backstage buildings. 06/18/1992: Red Thunder's 3 trains have been put onto the track. Also, Red Thunder's station still needs to be painted, as shown in this photo. 06/29/1992: Red Thunder opened to the public! Here's a photo of a train of happy riders. 06/29/1992: The completed station and queue. 06/29/1992: One big lift hill! The height is the same as Sky Tower's height. Seaside Beach puts a 150 foot coastal height limit that stops any ride from being built taller. 06/29/1992: The MCBR with Thrill Shot's back spike nearby. 06/29/1992: Red Thunder's turn over Pacific Flyer's helix. 06/29/1992: The train at the bottom of the first drop. 06/29/1992: What is amazing is that no rides were removed for Red Thunder. I call that an accomplishment for Playland Park!
  9. It would be hilarious to see a Boomerang on Deja Vu's spot. Well, Apocalypse is on the same spot Psyclone used to sit on... I know this is SFMM, but would they really go that low? It seems crazy. That's what I was thinking. Though, SFMM always surprises me...
  10. It would be hilarious to see a Boomerang on Deja Vu's spot.
  11. Nice trip report. Also, is it me or does the drop tower only have 12 seats? If so, that is really low capacity.
  12. I can't wait for vertical construction. Hopefully, I'll grab this credit in a few years. Also, it looks like none of the rock structures were removed, is this true?
  13. I seriously doubt SFMM would be that cheap.
  14. Looks nice, Colin. The current area looks good and is a start in the right direction. Also, do I see some inspiration from some RCT2 park?
  15. The Mine Ride is one of Knott's most popular rides with a very large capacity. It's not going anywhere.
  16. Yeah, I would love to see Rocky Mtn. Construction demolish a Boomerang.
  17. Most B&Ms make that sound, so Banshee will most likely have that sound. EDIT: Here's some links to videos that have B&M Inverts doing that sound:
  18. I hope they change the cars to forward facing cause with the current seats, You can only see 1/2 of the scenery. I had to constantly turn my head to see all the stuff behind me. I told you many times, Justin, that the cars on the Mine Ride will stay in their current form. You can see both sides of the scenery and it is just something to get used to. Whenever I go on the Mine Ride, I never have the problem with the seating and it really adds to the western experience. Forward facing seats do not look like a mine cart and it would take a much longer time to load. The current seating on the Mine Ride has been around for 53 years and it is not going away anytime soon.
  19. Give it about a week, and it will be just as big as YOLOcoaster. No excuses then SFMM. It only took a day to have it as tall as Full Throttle.
  20. Amazing? Well, if we follow the metric prefixes: 200' - 299': megacoaster 300' - 399': gigacoaster 400' - 499': teracoaster 500' - 599': petacoaster http://www.unc.edu/~rowlett/units/prefixes.html
  21. Great progress on Banshee. It's shaping up to be one good looking coaster. Cedar Fair needs to teach SFMM a thing or 2 about early construction. Fixed.
  22. This reminds me a lot of the 2013 Boardwalk additions at Knott's, which was really a great improvement to that area.
  23. Nice job. I think you did a great job with scenery and the park has a unique feel to it. There is just two things that bother me: The Schwarzkopf's drop is too jarring, I would make it a little less intense to make it look more realistic. Also, I don't like that building with the red and green arches at the top, it looks very strange. I would make it one color, or do something that makes it a little more aesthetically pleasing. Other than that, keep up the good work!
