  1. Fixed infinity! I think these jokes are hilarious.
  2. My dream is for the parachutes to return and a S&S El Loco to replace Boomerang.
  3. I went to SFDK 2 days ago and I finally went onto Superman. Superman was a really good coaster, though I don't see it as amazing and it barely makes my top 10 list. It just didn't seem to be as intense as I thought it would be and the hangtime is good, though I believe V2's hangtime is more intense. I went on row 1 and 6, so I experienced the most intense seats. I did like Superman, though I don't think it lived up to the hype. Also, the park's operations seemed a little bit better than last year's operations. I was able to get onto most of SFDK's major coasters without that much of a wait and this was on an August Saturday.
  4. I saw this is on the news and I thought I should post it on here: http://losangeles.cbslocal.com/2013/08/05/several-people-reportedly-stuck-on-transformers-ride-at-universal-studios/
  5. Sorry, you have to wait for the park download to see what the whole park looks like. I want it to be surprising.
  6. I've been to the Santa Clara County Fair back in the day when it was great and last year. The fair was ruined when they moved the date from August to May with a more limited time open which really lowered the attendance. Also, Angry Gumball, have you been to the Alameda County Fair? (Plus, that arch is also a symbol I remember from my childhood. For some reason, when I was young, I thought a fireball ride was on the arch.)
  7. I don't buy into the fake layout. It would take a good amount of effort to create those blueprints. Plus, a decent amount of footers on the blueprint have already been poured/preparing to be poured. Though, I do know there is a good chance that the blueprints are fake.
  8. I went to CGA today and left after 2 hours since the lines were too long. I knew it was a bad sign seeing some activity in the Amphitheater. Nice. Honestly, if Grizzly's drop was steeper and the long, drawn out hills were replaced by airtime hills, like on KD's Grizzly, I would be happy.
  9. 1986 - 1989 Update Phantom Castle's replacement became Phantom Express. It is manufactured by Zierer and opened in the summer of 1986. Another view of Phantom Express that shows its "water dive turn". 1987 brought the Flying Carpet that replaced The Cube, the 3D theater. The high diving show and Cycle Cruiser were demolished in 1987 for The Plunge, a shoot-the-chutes ride. Another view of The Plunge. 1989 brought the Off Road Adventure ride. This family-friendly ride is where you drive monster trucks through a small forest. In 1989, the last remaining spot of available of Playland Park is being prepared for some new ride in the future. Some footers were already poured and the crane is starting to be constructed. One final image is of coaster track spotted in these containers. This is the end of the 1986 - 1989 update. Thanks for reading and comments are appreciated.
  10. I haven't been to Cedar Point, though it's nice to have kiddie rides spread out in multiple locations rather than one location.
  11. The operations were great on Gold Striker last night. There was a few times where one train was already on the lift hill when the other train was going into the station without stacking.
  12. There was a news article mentioning that the same designer for this designed SOB, which didn't make much sense to me because clearly RCCA and B&M are completely different companies - I never thought about the Stengel connection. Almost, the news article said this: "The new coaster’s designer also created The Beast, which has held the record as the world’s longest wooden roller coaster – and has remained on the list of the world’s top wooden coasters – since it was built in 1979." And if my thinking is right, wasn't it John Allen who designed The Beast (and the Racers). But he died in 1979. The other two designers listed for the Beast are Al Collins and Jeff Gramke. Anyone know about them? Perhaps the news article mistaken The Beast for Son of Beast?
  13. Got back from CGA's Thank You Thursdays event. The lines were much shorter than the last event and I got the most rides I ever got on Gold Striker in a single day. I went on my first upcharge ever, Xtreme Skyflyer as $10 was a great deal. It was worth it, in my opinion. Also, it was nice meeting with some other TPR members such as Angry Gumball & Jeffy Joseph Nor Cal.
  14. Perhaps another coaster named Goliath is coming to SFGAm next year?
  15. I was thinking the same. A long, drawn out corkscrew would be a great ending to the ride.
  16. For Xtreme Skyflyer on Thank You Thursdays, would it still be $10 for one rider by himself? If this is the case, I'm thinking of doing my first skycoaster ride later today.
  17. I'm seeing at least six, with the possibility of 8. Montu has 7 so if they're going for that record, they'll need 8! I'm thinking a Great Bear-esque pre-drop to line up with the valley, big drop, Ice Dragon-esque overbank, loop, batwing(-ish), 0-G, loop, immelmann, turn into brakes. I think you are looking at the layout backwards. Though, I could be wrong.
  18. Boomerang Bay gets very crowded in the summer time, so I could see a new waterslide being very popular.
  19. I'm going to Thank You Thursdays again. I can't give up such short wait times for Gold Striker.
  20. Nice! I'm going to SFDK this Saturday and I'm looking forward to the backstage tour of the Shark Experience. I have to work so I can't go, I would really appreciate any photos you are able to take (If they even let you take them backstage) Sorry, but I am probably not going to bring my camera because of the very fluffy bunnies. I usually bring my camera to SFDK if I can have a non-rider hold on to it when I'm on the "bunnies" enforced rides.
  21. Delirium has 32 seats and Firefall has 40 seats, so I'd not expect a 32 seat Air Race to have that bad of a capacity.
  22. Hmm.. Interesting! This has to be the Youtube video that person saw since it is the only video that has Kings Island 2015 on its name. aka Wooden Millennium Force
  23. The most recent one just passed: "Sunrise with SUPERMAN: On July 20, flash your Season Pass to enjoy exclusive access to SUPERMAN Ultimate Flight and receive a commemorative poster, starting at 9:30 a.m." The next announcement is July 31st, so the next ERT will most likely be on 8/3 or 8/10. Go to sixflags.com/discoverykingdom and sign up for the newsletter. Here you go they just announced it: Go Behind the Scenes of Shark Experience!: On Saturday, August 3 from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., flash your Season Pass to receive a behind the scenes tour of Shark Experience. Hammerhead Exclusive Ride Time: Flash your Season Pass to enjoy exclusive ride time on Hammerhead from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 3. The Shark Experience backstage tour is a pretty unique perk, I like that. Hammerhead ERT..eh not so much. Nice! I'm going to SFDK this Saturday and I'm looking forward to the backstage tour of the Shark Experience.
