  1. We all know there's multiple levels in fanboyism for Disney parks, or any other park for that matter. For those of us who remember EPCOT for what it was supposed to represent, the wand was an abomination. SSE is a representation of Earth, that stupid Mickey hand and wand made it look like we were being guided through the universe by Mickey himself. Pretty silly if you ask me. I'll admit, the wand grew on me, and it was really cool at night. During the day, not so much. Future World has turned into a shell of what it's supposed to embark upon, and hopefully this is an indication the Disney execs are finally figuring it out. I'm anxious to see the wand down and the changes to SSE. Now get rid of the monoliths in front and replant the gardens.
  2. Fat Tire. Nuff' said.
  3. As for the question about waiting for a lawsuit, I have no idea. We get them six months to two years after the incident all the time. The only reason I've been able to come up with is that they think any witnesses' memory of the event will be less fresh. A lot of times it backfires, and we've already got numerous written statements and reports. I really hope SF's legal counsel is informed of those posts. Those would be golden.
  4. The family's attorney is familiar with carnival/theme park suits. He represented guest that was stuck in corkscrew on Demon, and there are a few other carnival suits he's filed. Typical plaintiff attorney website. Highlight their huge victories, but don't mention any of the cases they've lost, which is typically much more exspansive. ^^^ As an operator of the slide, SF is going to be named in any suit. Plaintiff's often name as many parties as possible when filing a suit. During discovery, the list is wittled down to the party or parties that are responsible. It's like throwing cake against the wall and seeing what sticks.
  5. I just had a dreadful thought. What if they're replacing it with enormous Mickey ears....
  6. I just had a incredibly immense joygasm. Yippee! I'm betting Siemens had something to do with decision.
  7. Wow, I had no idea I went to Great Adventure. I get around. Next time I'll let you know Derek!
  8. Since it was in the parking lot, did you get any pictures?
  9. They wouldn't fly a 747 from CA to Colorado. I think that story is a bit embellished. In fact you won't typically see any 747's or larger aircraft into DIA either. It's a regional hub not a major international hub. I'm the adjuster for both DIA and COS, that's the reason I know.
  10. Oh yeah! I couldn't remember her name. I had a crush on her when I was younger. She had very large....calves....yeah, that's it, calves.
  11. ^ You're so popular, they were scared! Soren, as I said before, if it hadn't been for bumping into Wes on the way to the Germany Pavilion, you would of been my first TPR meet. Talking to you was awesome, and I'm glad you got to have such a great time in Orlando. I hope you get to go back.
  12. Very nice Bob. This will certainly bring more membership to The Hoffman Girl fanboy club.
  13. And we know. It's wicked kewl, to you mister.
  14. ^ What are you a walking BMG brochure? Spectacle? Comical overtone? Oy.
  15. Edit and Spellcheck must have been broken for this one.
  16. Well here's a first. Overcapitalization.
  17. Dominator is worth it. Too bad with the removal of Steel Venom and X-Flight, the rest fo the park really isn't. And Boo to Cardinal fans!
  18. ^^ That's a POV video. You could be putting other people at risk for injury. That's not even remotely the same as taking a picture of your on-ride photo. Talk about taking one of Robb's quotes totally out of context....grrr.
  19. Very nice. My Dad and uncle are both grads of John Carroll. I've been there many times for reunions. It's a nice little campus.
  20. These are pictures dating back a few days, and from this evening. Saturday, I took a quick trip over to the local alcohol distribution center to grab a sixer of singles. Yeah right, like that ever works. While perusing the singles shelves, I notice Fat Tire 12 ounce bottles. I nearly pooped my pants! We've only had bombers for the last 18 months. So I ran, yes I actually ran, over to the Fat Tire stack to see both bomber cases and 12 ounce six pack cases! Then whay do my eyes spy sitting quaintly on the floor? New Belgium Skinny Dip! Holy Mother of Pearl! We've got more New Belgium! To make it a short story, Chicago is now receiving 6 of New Belgium's product line, and my local place will be receiving it in the next two to three weeks! Yay me! In even bigger news, Stone is beginning to distribute to Wisconsin. Looks like I'll be making Bell's and Stone runs in the near future! Joygasm! Yeehaw! It's like drinking oranges and honey! Yum! Blue Moon's Summer Ale. Perfect for a hot day! Local brewers, Two Brothers and their Anniversary brew, Monarch. I lovely wit. Delish! Sunset Wheat (Blueberries!) and Creawy Dark = Creamy Sunset! Mmmmm!
  21. Yay blueberries!!!! I have HUGE news tonight. I can't wait to post some pics. Mu ha ha ha ha!
  22. It was great to see you mulitple times this year Soren. I look like a total cow in my picture. I must have been eating my way around World Showcase that day.....oh wait I was!
