  1. They've been added to the HalloweenHorrorNights.com homepage.
  2. It isn't on the site. Most of the info came from other sources. I've been hearing this stuff for a while now, I just waited until now to post anything because the Dead Silence page confirms what I've been hearing.
  3. I figured it was time to start a thread for this since info has started to trickle out. http://www.halloweenhorrornights.com/deadsilence.html Expect a movie-based event this year. It will take place at Universal Studios Florida. Other rumored houses include Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th, Texas Chainsaw Massacre and The Thing. There might be a certain clown involved as well... Current plans include eight houses and up to four shows. No parade. All of this information is subject to change.
  4. My advice? Don't waste your money. You're trying to bite off way more than you can chew. Orlando can NOT be seen in 4 days - period. You already have tickets to Universal, so go there and enjoy it. Give each park a full day (they will close very early anyway.) Spend a night at HHN (doing the actual HHN attractions, not rides) and maybe spend the other one at a Blue Man show. Spend a full day at Magic Kingdom if you're going there. All of the other parks are easier to do in half a day, but keep travel time in mind for BGA. Check out Downtown Disney in the evening. Do NOT try seeing all of Disney in a single day. It's a complete waste. Simply being in the park doesn't qualify as experiencing it. You need to give yourself time to see what each park has to offer.
  5. ^ I don't get any "inside" information from other websites. Why bother when my own friends can give it to me?
  6. You're being petty. It will be the exact same concept with newer technology, and you know that's what we meant.
  7. No, that isn't all we know. It will be the same ride system, just redone. The biggest change will be the projection technology.
  8. Hey, that's a great idea! They could even base it off those movies they've been making recently... What are they called? Oh right, Pirates of the Caribbean. That would be a perfect name for a theme park attraction! So who do we call to get this idea off the ground?
  9. Just for clarity's sake, Dragon Tower was the Reign of Fire tie-in to be built in Beastly Kingdom. Fire Mountain was going to be a Magic Kingdom attraction (in Adventureland.)
  10. I'm taking a wait and see approach ... but I will not be happy if they touch certain parts of LC.
  11. Good album. My special edition came in the mail today. I've seen a lot of fans complaining that it isn't heavy enough .... oh well. They needed to mature their sound. The rapcore kiddies will have to find something else to latch onto, LP have thankfully moved on.
  12. Poor choice of restraints. It has to come down to a certain degree or you can't ride. I'm always dizzy as hell after that part.
  13. How in the heck are they going to theme a coaster to King Kong?
  14. Correct. I realize Universal is a film studio - the one making this film - but everyone needs to remember that none of the attractions in IOA are based off of movies (no, not even JP.) Hulk Coaster wouldn't change ... unless there was a permanent change to the comics.
  15. I just thought it sounded funny... You make it sound that the parks in Orlando are next door to each other. No they didn't. They simply stated that California's parks require more driving. Besides, two of the parks are next door ...
  16. Agreed. Although I liked what they did to the Panasonic Theatre in Toronto. It was funky, industrial, raw, etc., which matched the show very well. But I guess Central Florida audiences really won't be all that demanding as compared to Chicago, NY, London or Toronto. What makes you say that? You don't even know what the theater will look like when finished.
  17. This probably won't change that. They're just screwing around with it's theming.
  18. I'm not usually fond of attractions that revolve around animation, but anything is better than El Rio del Tiempo.
  19. I can cofirm that article is BS. There's no activity there.
  20. No coasters in JP. The park already has more than enough twisted steel. It needs dark rides.
  21. Yeah, both Soarin' and Back to the Future utilize Omnimax/IMAX Dome theatre systems. The domes stretch 180 degrees, for a fully-encompassing movie experience. Also, it features the unparalled IMAX film and sound quality. While both are very different rides, this common factor links them together. It shows the extreme versatality of the IMAX product, and hopefully more rides will be built using the IMAX experience. You're like a living, breathing IMAX advertisement. Jokes aside, I'm pretty sure this ride's film and sound quality was "paralled" by quite a few things (meaning they're equally bad.)
  22. You're kidding, right? They don't need to wait and see how a ride performs in one park before building it in another. Universal built both Mummy attractions simultaneously. That cost more than a coaster ever would. With that said, BTTF will not be replaced with said coaster. How do I know this? Simple - BTTF is nowhere near Hollywood. Kind of a goofy conclusion to pull from the "Pardon our stardust" sign. They use those all the time anyway.
