  1. It's one of the worst ideas I've ever heard, and that's all I have to say about that. Luckily, it came from Screamscape.
  2. 1.) Stand somewhere near the boneyard (production central) area. 2.) Watch parade. 3.) As the last float passes, run towards concert stage for a half-decent spot. That's really all there is to it.
  3. Seriously, seriously doubt it. What this article conveniently forgot to mention is the fact that the 360 sold the most units in December - this past December. It's outselling the brand new systems a year after launch, adding onto it's large head start. With Sony falling flat on it's face, Microsoft is the new king of video gaming in America... and they haven't even released Halo 3 yet. The Wii is a novelty that'll wear off sooner than later (that's coming from someone who owns one.) One game is going to make the console? Doubt it. As for novelties that need to wear off, I'd say that about first person shooters like Halo. Snore! But, that's just my preference. I'm glad that Nintendo is trying something different. Had Nintendo been able to ship enough units they might have the most by now. Well first of all, I never said Halo was going to "make" the console... although that's exactly what it did for the Xbox. Haven't you ever heard of a "killer app?" They drive sales of a console, whether you believe it or not. With that said, the 360 has a lot more going for it than Halo, which isn't even out yet. It's already been "made" by it's current game library. Gears of War has even sold out in Japan of all places. Referring to shooters as a novelty is pretty foolish, btw. They're the most popular genre in gaming. They aren't going anywhere. Even if that were the sole reason the 360 is selling more, which I personally doubt, it would be irrelevant. Whoever sells more units "wins" the "war." As it stands, Microsoft had more than a 50% market share last month. Sony and Nintendo are accountable for poor availability of their systems, just like Microsoft was last year.

  5. *ahem* USF Someone needs to tell them those palm trees don't align in the trick photo. Makes it kinda pointless, ya know? That's gotta be one of the dumbest things I've ever read. Pretty fitting that it comes from fool.com. Stray cats make him wonder if GE knows what they're doing.... uhh, okay. Well looky here, he owns stock in Disney. That explains everything.
  6. WDW's Space really does need to install an elevator.
  7. That looks hilariously lame. What, they couldn't afford to just build Rock 'n' Roller Coaster?
  8. Yep, this story is absurd. And someone in the Disney company should be smacked upside the head for claiming Santa is "considered a Disney character."
  9. lol Just because you can't appreciate older films doesn't make them inferior to newer crap (a word which sums up modern horror films perfectly.) I bet you're one of the people who thought Lucas fiddling with the original Star Wars trilogy was a good thing.
  10. If anyone's going this weekend, remember to check out The Amazing Jonathan. Dude's hilarious. http://www.halloweenhorrornights.com/orlando/eventinfo.html
  11. The original ScreamHouse at HHN.
  12. The fact that you didn't buy an Express pass, like all knowledgeable HHN attendees do, doesn't make HOS a superior event. It makes you unprepared. There's a reason Howl-O-Scream is a lot less popular.
  13. Lots of HHN news. HHN will be opening at 5pm on remaining peak nights. That's right, 5pm. In addition, it will be closing at 1am on all non-peak nights except for Halloween. A new magic show featuring Jeff McBride will be featured on unspecified event nights, likely in the Animal Actors theater. And finally, Marvel Superhero Island is open on Saturdays from 8 to 11. All of this is of course a result of the unspeakable hordes attending this year's event. Needless to say, they've failed miserably in the planning department. In fact, they're frantically sending out e-mails in hopes of hiring extra people for this weekend, which is expected to be the busiest in HHN history. They're rumored to be expecting somewhere in the vicinity of 60,000 guests tonight. Keep everyone involved in your prayers.
  14. HHN is where Universal makes most of it's annual profit.
  15. The Psycho house looks cool because it's the actual Psycho house. We had one... but it got bulldozed.
  16. For those who care, Robosaurus is no longer exclusive to peak nights. That's right. The fire breathing, car chomping, zombie hatin' behemoth is coming to a non-peak night near you! Hold onto your butts... and your Express passes (crowd levels this year are horrifying.)
  17. Horrid. Luckily I had Express, but it was the most packed I've ever seen a Thursday night. Then again, I usually don't go on Hell Week.
  18. Uhhm... they did open the drawers. All of them. In order.
