  1. Hah. Only a week after a WDW bus catches fire.
  2. According to Universal, it can have 4 cars operating at the same time. Isn't Tampa where the University of South Florida is? Indeed it is, which has always made me laugh. I've always said they must not teach geography there. A blindfolded monkey could tell you that Tampa is in the middle, or "center" of the state. Central Florida = Orlando Metropolitan Area
  3. I don't see a drop. The entire turn is flat in that picture.
  4. The dark ride section of the FL layout looks about right. Not sure about the coaster section. It's missing the drop after the launch hill.
  5. A whale shaped island? Amusing gimmick... incredibly stupid, but amusing. There won't be any room to expand, and these parks are already small to begin with (up to 1/3 the size of their FL counterparts.)
  6. It's Disneyland. They'd just need a step ladder to get him down.
  7. Taken from Screamscape. No idea if it is actually true. Perhaps someone local should try it out? Thanks for proving I'm not insane.
  8. Universal bought Wet 'n Wild several years ago. They do own it.
  9. If Universal closes this park, it would be to move it on property, which would probably be for the best. I don't see them closing it and then doing nothing. They need to do something about the current lease though.
  10. Huh? Universal is already doing this. They're beyond testing.
  11. What is it with Universal and their new expansion fetish? Especially in Asia? The parks division will be broke by 2015.
  12. I knew they were changing the preshow rooms but I hadn't heard anything else. Not sure what exactly they have in mind, but given the time frame, I seriously doubt it'll be extreme enough to really qualify as a new attraction. Earthquake is in San Francisco.
  13. Average scenery? That house has some of the best set pieces they've ever created.
  14. Not sure I understand the hate for Orlando's event. Yes, it lacks scarezones, but this is the best line-up of houses they've had in a while and there's more shows than usual. You win some, you lose some.
  15. Chance doesn't lip-synch either. I found the show entertaining, personally. Certainly moreso than The Arrival or Terra Throne.
  16. It looks like Jack to me.
  17. This is the solution. http://www.horrornights.be/images/funhouse_answer.jpg
  18. Unless someone deleted the posts you're referring to, I'm not seeing any rivalry. I do see people commenting a lot on the Florida event in this thread, but that's to be expected since it's the established event everyone knows.
  19. USF has these same problems. They refuse to stop selling the alcohol simply because it makes them so much $$$.
  20. Yeah, they're being extremely strict with photos at UO. The New Line characters even wear black robes for cast changes. Take a photo of them and you risk a lynching. You also can't have your camera out during Bill & Ted. At all. The staff will actually bring a COP over to give you a warning.
  21. What the heck did they do to Jack? Stick his head in a toilet bowl? He looks ridiculous.
  22. It probably is. Ours is really short and has a serious scareactor shortage. Or at least it did when I went through. The Freddy and Jason houses are better.
  23. I'm interested in hearing how USH's houses compare to our versions. Unfortunately, I won't be making it out there myself.
