Not particularly a band, but I am really into Tiësto. He's a very popular and famous DJ from the Netherlands and he is simply amazing. Not only are his songs the best electronica/trance/techno around, but the shows that he puts on are jaw-dropping. Last summer, me and my friends drove over 14 hours to Arnhem, Netherlands to see him just one night... and it was SO worth it! This clip was taken by a friend of mine: At 1:05, you can see me! I'm wearing a white shirt and dancing crazily! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JIfsea4tQXw The turnout that night was over 90,000+! Amazing show! If you like dance music, Tiësto is a MUST listen. I guess it is perhaps only a European thing to like electronica music, because I've rarely seen anyone here in New Hampshire listen to it, but I think people should give it a chance! GOD.

Music snobs annoy me like no other. That means, people who say... "Ugh, you listen to __________?" "Why do you like ______ genre of music? It sucks!" "______ sold out, and now they are crap, even though I used to like them." "I like to listen to everything, really. I just can't stand _______." Maybe it's just me, but I appreciate all genres of music. Country, Jazz, Techno, Pop, Rock, Alternative, Metal, Goth, Indie, Rap, Hip-Hop, Classical... etc. There are good songs everywhere, and it bothers me when I am listening to something that might be labeled as "unconventional", and people are like... "What is this? It's terrible!"

^As do I. In Germany, it costs money to use plastic bags at the grocery store. (in attempts to discourage it, due to the fact that it's so harmful to the environment). People should always choose paper, or just bring their own bag!

I was lucky enough to see Daft Punk live in Amsterdam last summer. Was scrolling though youtube and found this clip: Absolutely epic performance. Well, most good DJs out there have shows this incredible. I don't know why more people don't listen to Electronica/Dance/Techno music!

Hey, you should take it as a compliment when a gay guy hits on you! That means you're hot!

60 degrees and raining. Blech! -
Perhaps this has already been asked before (i can't be bothered to search through all 400+ pages) but will X2 feature a new ride soundtrack? I remember when I rode X a few years ago, there was this awful techno music playing in the queue. Hopefully, they'll update that and play some GOOD techno and not some generic crap that only goes uns uns uns...

Most thrilling drop?

Yes! That's it! Wow, I get scared just watching that video! -

I always knew BGE was known for being a beautiful park, but I never realized how nice it is! Great pictures! Especially of Big Bad Wolf!

^Why? He makes a valid point.

^Have you ridden X:\No Way Out? EE cannot even be compared to X:\NWO, they are in such different leagues! At least when you stop on EE, you are given a kind of 'show' that relates to the ride (The yeti ripping the track apart) and it fits the ride perfectly. With X:\NWO, a bunch of random things happen that just confuse the rider. Personally, I think it's tacky. I think it's a love/hate relationship with this thing. People either seem to love it or simply loathe it.

I rode X:\No Way Out a few years back and thought it was just dreadful. Any roller coaster that comes to a complete stop, takes away any excitement that it could possibly have! Sure, the concept of a backwards, enclosed roller coaster sounds exciting, but Thorpe Park executed this attraction rather poorly. The theming is cheap, and the entire building sticks out like a sore thumb. I think something new should replace it. Maybe a highly themed enclosed flat ride or something...?

Requiem for a Dream - 10/10 Marion and Harry high on drugs. Just an example of the excellent cinematography in the movie made by director Darren Aronofsky. Wow. Film making at it's best. Haven't seen such a powerful movie in a very long time. Not necessarily a 'horror' film, but it does deal with one of societies biggest horrors: addiction. Harry, Marion, Sara and Tyrone are all good people, but their addiction to drugs sends them spiraling down into the path of oblivion. There were times when I literally had to close my eyes from what was being shown on screen, because of how brutal and real it was. We always think that drugs will never have this kind of affect on us, but you never know what could happen (as shown in this film). After I watched this movie, I felt like I had just lost 4 good friends... I was so depressed! It's been a day since I've seen it, and I still think about it. Not many movies do that for me. Highly recommended, but not for anyone under 18 (rated R for a REASON).

Most thrilling drop?

For me, the most thrilling drop would be this tower ride I went on when I was in Japan. I don't remember the name, nor do I remember which park it was at, but I DO remember it being advertised as one of the tallest drop rides in the world. I think it might have been something like "Blue Fall"? Can someone help with the name if they've been to Japan and ridden this before? -

Nice pictures! Although, I think the color schemes for the coasters at SFOT are all obnoxiously bright... -

Not saying that there is any excuse for the bashings that many vegetarians/vegans get, but I think a lot of it stems from how the food tastes and the way many vegetarians/vegans present themselves. I tried a vegan brownie once, and thought it was terrible. Chalky, flavorless, and very dry. Well, when you take eggs, butter, and milk out of pastries, that's the end product you'll get! And also, many vegetarians and vegans (not saying you, persay) look down on those who DO eat meat. I've a vegetarian friend who always asks me why I like to eat murdered animals! Of course, she is an extremist, and I never invite her to events involving food, but it is also quiet annoying to have to justify what I eat. I definitely don't appreciate it when people make me feel bad for eating meat. However, those idiots who bash you so rudely just because you believe in something and stick to it, are just plain ignorant. I think it's great that you were a vegetarian (and now a vegan) as it shows how much self dedication you have. However, I have to ask. Is being vegan healthy? I mean, at least with being vegetarian, you can have milk, eggs, and other forms of protein... but as a vegan, only vegetables are allowed to be eaten, right? My vegetarian friend (whom I was speaking of earlier) has a friend who is a vegan (and also already quite thin), and she has lost over 20 pounds in the matter of year, due to what her doctor said as 'malnutrition'. I guess sticking up for what you believe in is great, but when you risk your health to do it? Is it worth it?

I met Gina Wilde (the porn star) while I was shopping with some friends in Munich haha. -
I was offered a beer by my co-workers here in New Hampshire and I think it was called Miller. BLECH! Absolutely awful! Tasted like water...... Definitely cannot even compare to German beer!

I used to be a bartender back when I was in Germany (best job ever!) but since I am in the States now, I work as an intern in a hospital. It is my practicum work that I must do. It's fun, because I get to see how surgeries are performed and I am learning a lot. But at the same time, it is very exhausting and I have very long hours every day!
