  1. http://www.shanalogic.com/ It's $35... and they have them in other colors too! Unfortunately, only for iPod touch or iPhone.
  2. This is another stereotype that many religious individuals have with gay people as well... that all homosexuals are non-religious and detest Christianity. I have been raised a Christian my entire life and I still believe in God, but I tend to keep my relationship with Him a little more private. The "religious zealots" that I referred to in my original post take the word of God and His beliefs totally out of context, which is what annoys me so much. They put a bad name on Christians. The topic of gay marriage seems to not be an important one to many people on this board. Why not? Sure, America is dealing with quite a lot at the moment, but civil rights should be equally as important as any other subject matter.
  3. ^Oh no, you misunderstood me. What I meant was this... "Conservative" (meaning old-fashioned, narrow-minded, extremely religious...) I didn't mean to associate it with any political party. In Germany, we have more than just two political parties, and most of them are conservative. Normally, when we say 'conservative', we mean "old-fashioned," so I used the word out of context. English is my second language after all so I do tend to make these kinds of mistakes.
  4. The Eurovision is absolutely dreadful. Ami's, stay away from this.
  5. Read the article. I couldn't agree more. [EDIT:] Religious zealots preach their bullsh*t often enough, but we all know their delusional idea of 'protecting marriage' is awfully hypocritical.
  6. When did you last visit Holiday Park? My last visit was in 2007 and they seemed to be doing a great job! I'm actually going home to Germany in two weeks for a short vacation (also visiting Holiday Park as well!), so I'll be sure to post a TR and update you on how operations are!
  7. ^Theme song to my favorite show! Currently listening to : Tonight, Tonight -- The Smashing Pumpkins
  8. Generally assuming that younger individuals are incapable of holding a level of maturity and commitment in long distance relationships is not the best thing to say either. I've been in one long distance relationship... perhaps not as long as yourself, but I know the amount of effort it takes on both parties to make it work. Unless a drastic decision is made that effects the relationship (such as moving to the same city, an engagement, or some other type of serious commitment) so that they can be brought closer together, long distance usually don't turn out for the best because people have needs. Every time I was reunited with my ex, it was amazing! But I knew the time that we spent together would be limited and that we would have to say 'goodbye' very soon afterwards. That to me, was the hardest thing to do. It doesn't matter how old or how 'mature' you are... parting with a loved one is hard for anyone and some people just can't handle that. Just my own personal opinion based on my own personal experience. Glad to see you're the exception though! Best of luck to you and your wife! In a bit of unrelated news... Gay marriage will be legalized in California! It's about time! http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2008/05/15/BAGAVNC5K.DTL
  9. What gorgeous pictures you take! From your TR at SFA, I wouldn't have guessed that the park was unpleasant. Your pictures actually made me want to visit! The color schemes on these two coasters are absolutely dreadful! Oh, and why is only the loop on Dominator yellow? Is it unfinished or are they going to leave it like that?
  10. Any Disney Park! Also, Europa Park in Rust, as well as Holiday Park in Haßloch... both in Germany.
  11. Ben Stone: You know, the best thing for a hangover is weed. Do you smoke weed? Alison Scott: Not really. Ben Stone: You don't? Alison Scott: No. Ben Stone: At all? Alison Scott: Uh-uh. Ben Stone: Like... in the morning? Alison Scott: No... I just... don't. Ben Stone: It is, like, the best medicin. 'Cause it fixes everything. Jonah broke his elbow once. We just... got high and... it still clicks but, I mean, he's ok. Next: Anchorman!
  12. Not a big Red Hot Chilli Peppers fan because I think almost all their songs sound the same and is about California in one way or another. For my ipod, I bought this custom made case: A bit girly, but I think it's cool!
  13. I wouldn't pursue anything until after you came back. Maybe say something to him so that he knows how you feel, but don't make anything official because you never know what will happen in the 5 months that you are in California. The one thing I would advise, is not to jump into a long distance relationship. That's always a bad idea!
  14. Tickets back home to Germany for my birthday! Only 879 dollars roundtrip (LOVE ORBITZ) and with Euros, it's only 559! I can't wait to go back home for 2 weeks!
  15. [Rec] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=is1F5izRgxE 9/10 A friend mine was lucky enough to get a hold of the 2007 Spanish horror film [REC]. The film is about TV reporter Angela and her camera man when they accompany a group of firemen on a call to an apartment complex. Little do Angela and the firemen know, there isn't a fire... but instead, they find a group of f**ed up and murderous zombies. Sounds like your typical horror film, but it isn't. It was almost like a blend between the Blair Witch Project and 28 Days Later. Highly recommended! **Hollywood noticed the success of [REC] in Europe, and guess what they decided to do? Make a remake of course! The remake (titled "Quarantine") is coming out in October, but I suggest watching the original. Here's the trailer for Quarantine, the American remake: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eNnZTMpZvNE Doesn't look bad, but still... Original ideas please, Hollywood.
  16. lol I remember hearing this song when I was 18 and thought it was hilarious. I didn't know anyone knew them!
  17. I don't see it that way at all. I'm not stressed in the least bit, in fact, quite the opposite. I'm excited that I'm experiencing new romantic feelings... surely you've felt something similar? I know that it will never work out, and I accept that. We've all had people we've liked (regardless of sexuality) and not have the feelings reciprocated, but I hardly think these sort of life experiences are considered "drama" as you put it.
  18. How am I creating drama, when there is no romantic relationship involved? This girl is well aware of my sexuality and has made it clear that she does not want to date me. It is me, who has feelings for her... not the other way around.
  19. I've slept with both women and men before but it has never really felt right with a woman. Sex never crosses my mind with this new girl that I met and I love that. I just really enjoy being around her and I love it when she hugs me or is near me. It's so hard to explain because it's not a physical attraction (well, it is a little bit) but it's her personality that I am crazy about. Like I said before, I don't consider myself bisexual because I would never date women, but with her, I feel like I want to date her.
  20. Wow, I couldn't have put it better myself. I am the EXACT same way as you. After I started going to Uni, my musical tastes have fluctuated drastically. I honestly love everything (or at least will give it a chance). People need to realize that there is great music in every genre.
  21. lol I laughed so hard when I saw this picture. It's not just in France, but all over Europe! The mullet is making it's comeback, didn't you know?? Great TR by the way! DLP is my favorite Disney resort next to TDL. It has a special European flavour to it and it's evident in a lot of the architecture and theming. You said that you saw advertisements for DLP in London? I think that's funny because they advertise the resort as far as Germany! I remember seeing a few advertisements when I was in Berlin!
  22. I recently met a girl that I am really attracted to. There is something about her that really stands out and I find myself so confused. She's not conventionally "hot" but she is beautiful to me. I know that I am gay, but for some reason, I know it would feel right if we were in a relationship together. We've talked about this, and we've even talked about the possibility of dating, but I'm not sure if it would be a good idea. I want to try it but I don't want to hurt her if it doesn't work out. I thought that I might be bisexual, but I don't think I would be in a relationship with any other woman in the world except for her. Advice?
  23. ^Same. I won't have a summer vacation, unfortunately, because I'll be taking summer classes as well.
  24. If money was not an object, I would definitely want to drive THIS: The Lamborghini Reventon... 650 horsepower V12 engine. HELL YES. Too bad only 20 are being made.
  25. Indeed. I just don't understand why she didn't try to escape! If someone locked in a room for even one day, I would think of any means possible to try to get out.
