Are they going to repaint Aftershock (because the colors look a tad bit faded from the pictures) before opening? And if so, what will the new (if there is any) color scheme be?

Unmade Bed -- Sonic Youth

TSM looks rather bland (it reminded me of being at the grocery store going from one lane to the other with giant projection screens). Granted, that's what this ride was being advertised as in the beginning so what is one to expect? But I think an AA throughout the ride here or there would have been nice and maybe added a bit more "umph" to it. Of course, I'm just going by a crappy video on YouTube and the 3D effect must obviously be experienced in person to get the full effect, so the ride itself might still be amazing... who knows! We'll just have to wait! With that said, I think WDI have done a great job with their attractions. (ie: DISNEYSEA, Tower of Terror at DisneySea, EE, Soarin'... etc) There aren't any other theme parks in the world (with the exception of maybe Universal parks) that does it like Disney does it. Hardcore Disney fans are simply spoiled and have overly high expectations of what rides should entail and never seem to realize that Disney creates spectacular attractions. WDI could build the most amazing ride, but there will always be those who will nitpick and complain about the most trivial details. I agree with Jim Hill wholeheartedly and I'm glad he was harsh in doing so.

Sounds like you are homophobic if you have a fear of men (regardless of their sexuality) hitting on you. I agree 100% with Scaparri on this one. It's total overkill to just write off an entire gender of people based on one bad experience. I definitely think this homophobia is something you should try to get over, as there are some really cool lads out there that you could possibly befriend. Sorry, but I think this is really very sad.

Seriously! It's the details that count. I really like the direction that SFMM is going at. Newly painted rides, removal of older ones, better operations... now, if they just took off those dreaded brakes on Viper and Revolution! Can't wait for my visit in July!

Beautiful pictures! Epcot looks amazing, especially the Morrocco section! I thought it was really funny how in the Germany shop, the beer mugs had eagles nested on top of the caps (this was obviously done to cater to the Americans as you would never see something like this in Germany!) Just curious, how much did they cost?

Yes, perhaps you are right. I guess the reason why I think that is because I saw how her actions pretty much destroyed her parents and her friends, both emotionally and physically. Obviously, there was something going on inside her and it's so unfortunate that she did not get the help that she needed. I've never been depressed before so I don't know the mental state that a person goes through, but if only she knew (or the guy at the Disney hotel knew) that there are ALWAYS people in this world that care about them, maybe they wouldn't have done it.

^I think the two are quite different. Justice has a more disco vibe to it, and Daft Punk is more club-house. Plus the voices that you hear with Daft Punk songs are all digitally created, giving it a more robotic sound. Justice uses actual singers. But I can see how some people would think that they are very similar in sound if they didn't know that. Is Justice a Christian group by the way? Their logo is a cross? I think that's really interesting if they are... never heard of a religious dance group before!

I really enjoyed your TR! Glad you liked the coasters... it seems like a rarity to enjoy coasters at this park! It really sucks that you waited so long for almost everything. I visited the park a few years ago, and I didn't have to wait for more than 20 minutes for anything. It seems operations have really declined which is unfortunate. Did you try the haunted walk through though? I loved that attraction!

I totally agree. I knew a girl who committed suicide when I was in our last year of Gymnasium (German equivalent to a high school). I was never really good friends with her because we were a part of different groups, but on the outside, she seemed so happy and enthusiastic and her suicide came as a complete shock to our whole class. In her last note to her family and to her friends, she simply said that she felt like no one cared about her at all. People think that no one seems to care about them, and they think that by taking their life people will. But they don't realize how long those loved ones will have to suffer. A death changes a lot of things and some people just can't handle it. Imagine the guilt the parents must have felt after what had happened... the guilt of feeling like they didn't do enough, that they might in fact be responsible for their own daughters death. Of course people who are suicidal should seek psychiatric help, and I understand that not everyone is able to do it but I still stick by what I said when I said that suicide is a selfish thing to do.

Obviously I'm into electronica music (if you read the past couple of pages you'll see!) and at the moment, I'm really into French dance music. Daft Punk of course, but also a band called Justice. Anyone know/like them?

If I owned Holiday Park -- Germany, I would... - Add an Intamin wooden hyper coaster, similar to that of El Toro that takes good use of the surrounding foliage near Holiday Park. - Add a B&M invert as intense as Nemesis at Alton Towers. - Add a decent water ride. - Remove Superwirbel (the roller coaster) because it is outdated and boring. - Add more flat rides that cater to the older crowd and not just kiddie rides. - Extend operating hours during the season. That's about all I can think of for now. I LOVE Holiday Park as it is, and the only thing I would do would be to just add more rides!

Good idea, but wow... $124.99? That's a bit expensive... I don't know if I would pay that.

That's one of the perks of living at home. The rent is so cheap, er... I mean, there is none! You save a ton of money. But at the same time, I needed to leave because my parents are so strict. Even though I am already 20 (almost 21), I had to come home every night for dinner (which is not a problem at all, I enjoy having dinner with my parents and my sister... but sometimes I was busy and I just could not make it), I could not stay out very late, and not to mention, I DEFINITELY couldn't have my boyfriend over. ...but at the same time, living with roommates has it's downsides too. I live with 4 other people (who all either have boyfriends or girlfriends) and so even though there are only technically 5 people living in my flat officially, there is always at least 4+ people over (and on top of us 5) everyday so it feels so crowded sometimes. Plus, my roommates seem to always want to make parties and I don't have enough quiet time to study (How do American college students do it?! They party all the time but still manage to get A's! I study all the time and I'm barely making it!) I can't wait until I get my own place!
