NEW TPR Video Every Day in April!
Buckeye_Ben replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Considering drop rides are the only rides that genuinely scare me, I don't know if a skycoaster would be my cup of tea. I'll have to give one a try one of these days. And way to go Kristen! You've been on more coasters before age 6 than I probably will in my lifetime -

21/26. Considering I've never been to a park outside the US, reading the TPR trip reports really helped me -

Just one for me...I broke my right collarbone when I was 5. I wish I could say I broke it with some cool story, but I fell out of my bunk bed. The bottom bunk.

Best and Lamest Coaster "Ending"
Buckeye_Ben replied to Teddymonster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
For me, the best and worst are in the same park... Best is The Beast. I really wish they'd tone down the trims going into the tunnel though, that would make it completely insane. Worst is Adventure Express. Am I the only one that does the hammer motion with the statues going up the hill??? -
Mine are all pretty much from Back to the Future. "Lou, get me a milk...CHOCOLATE!"' "Yes, I'm George. George McFly. I'm your density." "Chuck! Chuck! It's your cousin. Your cousin, Marvin Berry! You know that new sound you've been looking for? Well listen to this!" "You really think I oughta swear?" "Yes, definitely G**dammit George, swear." "Well that is your name isn't it? Calvin Klein? It's all over your underwear." "Look, there's a rhythmic ceremonial ritual coming up!" I could go all day.

Why all the screaming, Robb?

Threads like this are why we can't have nice things. I still think the Manhattan Express video is the funniest thing I've ever seen on the Internet. And it wouldn't be nearly as much fun without Robb cursing Togo the whole time. Keep up the good work! -
Kings Island (KI) Discussion Thread

So for Xmas yesterday, I got something pretty awesome--a piece of SOB's track. It's kinda special to me since it was the last roller coaster I was able to ride with my dad. We later found out he had a detached retina and couldn't ride anymore because he might go blind. Luckily, we got a non-wheel seat and it didn't kill us (my only ride where it didn't). No matter how rough the ride was, it's a piece of roller coaster history and it's a really cool thing to have. Now KI just needs to build something halfway decent in that giant plot of land, and we'll be good. BTW, that piece of track is damn heavy. -
The BEST roller coaster view EVER???

If they have roller coasters in heaven, I have a feeling they would look like this. That is truly amazing. -

I actually had a couple decent rides on it with the loop, but after the loop was taken out it was just a big painful mess. Now what will they put back there? It was a huge site, they could add multiple roller coasters or even a new area if they wanted to. -
I was there yesterday, and could have sworn I saw an Intamin cable slithering along the Rhine, stalking its next victims All jokes aside, yesterday was a great day at the park for my first time there. I was frankly amazed at how short the lines were, especially for a holiday weekend; the shortest wait was 20 mins for a front row ride on AC. Griffon and Alpengeist were basically walk-ons when we rode them. The big 3 were all running great. It was a bummer that Verbolten was down due to the wrath of Swiss engineering, but that just gives me an excuse to return I haven't been to as many parks as 95% of the members here, but BGW is definitely one of my new favorites.

I've gotten off pretty lucky. My worst was when I was 5, I fell off my bunk bed and broke my collarbone. Of course it was the BOTTOM bunk so that makes it a lot more embarrassing. I can still feel where a chunk of my bone is missing.

What is your next park?

I could just put all of the comments about CP getting rid of WildCat on here, but I'll just pick and choose the best of the best... -
I'm so glad I went with RCCL for my first cruise. My wife and I took our honeymoon on Freedom of the Seas (only a week after the TPR cruise on Freedom). We loved it, and definitely want to go on a cruise again. I didn't know anything about the lines, so I needed all the help I could get. Thanks to you guys, I pretty much knew my best choice would be anything but Carnival. I considered NCL for a bit, but as soon as I saw the glowing RCCL reviews I knew that was what we wanted. And now my suspicions about Carnival are completely confirmed! I hope you left comment cards, I would pay to see those!
