  1. You should consider trying out Apple's new EarPods. The sound quality is far superior than the old earbuds and they only cost £25. I love them.
  2. I liked X:/No Way Out just because I had no idea what to expect, no idea what was going on during it and no idea what had happened after it. The whole experience is a bit blurry (Especially all of the bits where you just sit in the dark puzzled)
  3. ^Thanks, I found it on google images I think that's the best place to look. Most wallpaper sites try to rope you into a membership!
  4. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I accept that completely. I just find it strange that Saw isn't so popular. I thought it was more thrilling than the other rides at Thorpe Park and the theming made the whole thing even better. Why does it get a hard time?
  5. Nemesis is a great ride. I love Saw at Thorpe Park though. The darkness makes the first half really intense and the theming makes you feel a bit creeped out (As if you are waiting to die)
  6. Here are a few pictures of mine that I edited to try out iPhoto on my new iMac! The Mumbo Jumbo sign at Flamingo Land Velocity! The (not so good) DCA Tower!
  7. I'm quite an amateur photographer but recently have started to take lots of pictures. I use my iPhone 4S which has a very good camera in my opinion. How does it shape up in comparison to professional cameras? Does anyone else use the iPhone 4S as their main camera? I may be crazy but it's the best that I can afford for the moment. Enjoy the shots: My lovely acoustic guitar. I still have to name it... This is the Empire State Building of Glasgow! My best shot at a flower!
  8. Great trip report! nice pictures! The park looks a bit like my local park which is now closed (Loudon Castle) Many similar rides. This park looks a lot better when it comes to theming though.
  9. I love mine. It's aesthetically pleasing
  10. Hmmm...I think my favourite drop has to be the first drop on Kraken at Seaworld. It just feels so open and you get a great view and rush at the same time! I also love the drop on Saw:The Ride.
  11. Piers is the one member that I really want to meet! Such a fun looking guy! Glad the cruise was a big success. I'm going on the Independence at New Year so hope it's just as good...
  12. Wow! I visited only two weeks ago and only a bit of the lift was complete! It seems to be sprouting up fast...Didn't realize how quickly they put these things up. It should be amazing and well worth another visit to check out...mum...please!?
  13. ^ You're not going crazy. This happens on mine! I got my iPhone 4s today and love it. Everything works just a bit better that its predecessor. The phone itself is almost completely identical to the iPhone 4 but Siri and the camera make it worth the buy! Siri is stunning (even though it hates my Scottish accent) It answers and completes tasks very quickly. I hope to see more great improvements from apple in the future.
  14. It's so creepy to see...I used to visit a lot! I would love for the park to open up again!
  15. I like letting people have their own opinion on things like cell phones...but come on! You have to agree that the iPhone is lovely. Maybe it's just because i'm used to blackberry. I just wrote this post on my 3gs and it felt wonderful...
  16. I have one with a train, forgot to add it! I likes Saw and Stealth a lot more than Nemesis...
  17. I have an iphone 3gs. I love it. My only concern is the battery, It really doesn't last very long. Apart from that it can do anything!
  18. Visited Thorpe Park yesterday and the lift hill is complete!
  19. So it's been a long time since I have posted or even been logged on this site (exams, school, hobbies, friends, busy) but I visited Thorpe Park yesterday and thought that I would write up a quick review of my day with a few pictures (taken on my iphone 3gs) I visited with my Aunt and Uncle and we had a great day. Thorpe Park was running a "Fright Nights" theme for the Halloween period. This meant that the park was opened longer (from 10 till 10) and had some cool mazes and theming. From 4 o'clock the mazes are open to the public. This year there were four mazes, a magic show, Saw Alive (the year round horror action maze) and the rides were also open until closing. We didn't do any mazes but spent our day riding and chilling! My Uncle was very helpful and booked fastpass tickets for Nemesis Inferno, Stealth, Saw, Colossus, X:/No Way Out, Loggers Leap and Tidal Wave. Most rides were very busy and I should congratulate the park for having a fabulous free app giving up to date wait times. Anyway, the rides! Firstly we rode Loggers Leap and Tidal wave. Both were very enjoyable and a good start to the day. The rides were very thrilling but would also be appropriate for the whole family. One of my favorite elements of Loggers Leap was the drop in dark which was surprisingly long! We then rode Colossus and Nemesis, My least favorite of the coasters however fun! The number of compact inversions is amazing! X:/No Way Out was rather standard and isn't worth waiting in line for. I guess in a way it delivers what it promises, A feeling of being trapped and out of place. The whole ride is backwards and in semi darkness apart from strobes. The ride stops at various intervals which adds to the feeling of disorientation. We then rode Saw which was surprisingly well themed and actually managed to scare me a lot! The queue is very well themed both outdoors and in. Sirens sound and screams are heard as you board. After passing jigsaw and turning a sharp bend you face two large pendulums which you drop under sharply before being turned upside down in semi darkness. The coaster section is extremely smooth although very short. Finally we rode Stealth at sunset (Picture at bottom) It was a lovely ride. I expected it to be very rough and distorting. It was however lovely and I loved it. The new ride "Swarm" was advertised a lot and the entrance is even in place. It seems to be some kind of 4th dimension coaster. We finished our day in the bar! I would recommend the park for families and those who are looking for a thrill. It has something for everyone. I hope you enjoy the very few pictures below. Stealth rises high above the trees! I approve of Saw! Without train... With train... The new "Swarm" theming!
  20. All I can say from experience is: 1) Buy flexitickets for the Universal, Seaworld and Wet n Wild parks and the Disney hopper tickets. 2) Try to stay on I-Drive, It has lots of god deals in little ideal hotels. 3) You'll really be ready for a break at the end of the trip!
  21. You'll just miss the Blackpool Tower Dungeon opening on September 1st! Madame Tussauds is now open in place of Louis Tussauds Waxworks, It's worth a shot if you have time!
  22. Last week I was in Cyprus for my cousins wedding. We all had a great time! On day four all of the under 40's went to the local waterpark, WaterWorld! The park is nice and boasts quite a good selection of rides to keep all ages busy. It is "The only "themed" waterpark on the island" and the theme is Greek mythology, the gods and stuff like that. WaterWorld is situated VERY near to the sea about ten minutes drive from Agia Napa. Admission for us was 32 Euros each as we booked a transfer service which comes included in the price. The park boasts 18 attractions. As it was a rushed "family" day I could only take a few pictures, so here goes. The park entrance... First up was the Lazy River...It was basic but fun! The Kamikaze slides were at the very back of the park, the white one was closed I see a tipping bucket!!! You are constantly reminded where you are! Drop To Atlantis was probably the most "themed" slide with light and sound effects! Twisty fun with long queues! These guys made up the "theme" The racing slides! I became airbourne! There was a Fish Spa right in the middle of the park! The "kiddie" area, the adults joined in too! Thanks for a fun day WaterWorld!
  23. ^I second that! There is so much land in Scotland! There is enough room behind my back garden to build a resort similar in size to Alton Towers. Scotland really needs a new park.
  24. I'd say pretty busy. The Pleasure Beach always seems to have rides that aren't though. e.g. Sometimes there is a huge queue for the Wild Mouse but Grand National is empty! I'd just go and check it out, whenever I go I always get on loads!
