  1. Thanks for keeping this thread going. Great stuff.
  2. For some reason, the people in this picture remind me of Jerry Seinfeld, Elaine Benes and Cosmo Kramer That is freaking incredible!
  3. Very nice. I wonder how many TPR members have been to that park. Thanks for sharing.
  4. I know concept art doesn't necessarily equal the real thing, but that looks fantastic!
  5. Yikes, it's definitely not worth the risk. Really is a shame.
  6. It looks very beautiful on the beach both during the day and at night. Definitely worth a stop when I eventually get out to SoCal.
  7. At least it's higher capacity than this ... I'm sure the new trains will be an improvement.
  8. 14/20. Some were pretty hard.
  9. Hmm, I'm not sure how I feel about anything being built in house. I can understand the reasoning behind it, but that's something I'd want to leave to the professionals. Who did they buy from in the past that made them want to build in house?
  10. I would say that the opinion of 10 people on this board is worth more than that article. Water parks are still very popular obviously. But keep in mind, Northern Parks are only open 4 months a year (mid May to mid September). If your lucky a couple extra weeks. They still have maintenance and other upkeep to do the other 8 months of they year while not making any money.
  11. Yeah I hate when site's post text as images. Interesting article. Obviously southern water parks are much better off being able to operate most of year where in the North, you get maybe 4 months. It's definitely tough in this economy.
  12. Oh so close, I had 0 and 5. Congrats jackizle.
  13. Okay, this one is strange, and I wasn't sure if I wanted to share this or not, but I laughed so I'm sure you guys will too. I had a dream a few days ago where I was on Jeopardy and the two other contestants playing were Robb and Big Mike. Funny thing is, I haven't met either of them yet. I only know them from being active on the forum and from Robb's YouTube videos. But anyways, it was me, Robb and Big Mike on Jeopardy and every category was some different aspect of theme parks/rides/roller coasters, etc. For example Six Flags for 400, or Hyper Coasters for 600, etc. Unfortunately the dream ended near the beginning of Double Jeopardy when I was woken up by the freaking thunder blizzard we had here that night. I couldn't get back to sleep afterwards so I don't know who would have won but at that point it was a pretty close race. I do watch Jeopardy fairly regularly, and I am very active on the forum so I guess that's where it came from. Like I said, it was weird, but there you go. Haha.
  14. I felt that you bounced around too much and weren't cushioned very well. The restraint system or lack of one if you prefer, doesn't help you out at all. I only rode the one at Canada's Wonderland once, so I haven't really compared, but from what I've heard, riding on the inside of the car rather than the outside is somewhat less painful.
  15. Wow! It really is a Dream! Thanks for sharing this.
  16. If Jerry Seinfeld were running down the beach with a Marble Rye, that would be Epic! And those Volare's really are brutal.
  17. ^^Did you guys get ERT when you were there? Eurofighters are pretty good, but well, from what you've described, Fuji-Q is run pretty poorly.
  18. ^That sounds like something a certain western New York park did a few years back.
  19. I always love your pics. They looked especially good this time! Renegade and Wild Thing both look awesome!
  20. I'm assuming this refers to La Qua's ride operation manual and not Maurer's manual. Otherwise Maurer would be on the hook.
  21. Big Mike, I would like to enter the contest because my favorite part of The Big Mike Road Show is all the laughs and all the great pics.
  22. That looks incredible! Where are they getting the money for all this?
  23. ^That would really be a cool job to have. It definitely has it's challenges so you won't be bored. Thanks for sharing that.
