News: Park Proposed for Las Vegas Strip
beatle11 replied to deathbydinn's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Except Disneyland, Legoland and SeaWorld are like 5 or 6 hours away. -
I got Road to CP as the major item on my itinerary! Will definitely be visiting Coney Island before hand. Otherwise I have Waldameer, Conneaut Lake, Darien Lake, Martin's Fantasy Island, Seabreeze and of course Canada's Wonderland on my radar for possible visits. I may not get to all of them this year but I will try.

^They will definitely be a good team in the next couple years. Hopefully Erik Johnson gets as good as everyone thought he would be when he was drafted. They gave up a lot to get him. Either way they have a good core to work around.

Great stuff!

^I knew Anderson was gonna play great last night. Didn't quite think that great but good for him. Ottawa had no business being in a close game last night never mind winning. Leafs simply outplayed them the whole game but Anderson shut the door.

Take that Waveloch! -
I visited Epcot in 03. I rode Body Wars right after lunch and almost hurled...haha. I was fine after about an hour or so. It was the only time I ever felt sick after a ride. Mission Space was not open yet but it was pretty close to completion. Here's a section of the 2003 map below where you can see it marked. Keep this thread going. Great stuff.

^I'm pretty sure it is 215ft as well. Same as Diamondback. -
Right now, I have a JVC HD Everio camcorder. It does beautiful 1080p HD. It isn't a high end camera by any means, but does a nice job.

^From the clues we received, like for example 212 ft, I doubt it. -

HAHA! KRAMER: Yeah, we give you the dough, you smash it, you pound it, you fling it in the air; and then you get to put your sauce and you get to sprinkle your cheese, and they - you slide it into the oven. GEORGE: You know, you have to know how to do that! You can't have people shoving their arms into a six-hundred degree oven! KRAMER: It's all supervised. GEORGE: Oh, well. -
Hey, did you hear about Drew Carey's new improv show starting the end of march on GSN? Pretty much the whole cast is there as regular players. Wayne Brady is supposed to be a guest star but otherwise most of the major stars are all there as regulars. Check it out here.

Boudreau just needs to let him play his game. What he's trying to do now is simply not working.

When I was in grade 4. An older kid "tripped and fell" on my wrist while I was playing on the big snow drifts during recess. It broke in two places. Luckily, they were clean breaks and I didn't need any pins or anything like that. Just a cast for a little under 2 months.

Shark tank? You mean you survived the sharks and managed not to drown as well! Seriously awesome report! -
^I also definitely have to give credit to Ovie for trying to play a team game. In most cases that's great but I'm thinking that Boudreau needs to just let him go out and play. Other than Crosby and maybe Stamkos and Malkin, no one else can contend with what Ovie can do. At his current pace, he will just miss out on 30 goals and will barely make a PPG pace. He's capable of double the amount of goals and easily over 100 points. You have one of the best players in the world, let him play and build the team around him to compliment his abilities and make up for his weaknesses. The current team they have are simply not built to play the type of style they are currently playing. I give them full marks for trying, but I don't think it's going to work.

Mark's Postcard Paradise
beatle11 replied to thrillerman1's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
"...one of the four roller coasters located in Canada's Wonderland". According to RCDB, which might be a bit off, there were 5 coasters there when the park opened, being Wilde Beast, Dragon Fyre, Mighty Canadian Minebuster, Ghoster Coaster and Blauer Enzian later moved into the mountain and renamed to Thunder Run. In any case, the next coaster that opened was in 1985. So these postcards are at least 25 years old. Very cool!
