  1. BGW's animal exhibits behind Lorikeet Glen between Ireland and France are nice and quiet--a good place to relax for a few minutes. The coffee house behind Grogan's in Ireland is a nice quiet place, too.
  2. I've been on the tour of Montu, and it's excellent--great photo opportunities and plenty of info about the ride's operations. It's worth doing.
  3. Cades Cove is another nice spot in the national park. I haven't been to Forbidden Caverns--looks like they're worth checking out.
  4. ^Same here. The different flavors of popcorn were great in Japan.
  5. I agree--that sample figurine looks like it might come to life while you're asleep and kill you! (It would make a particularly creepy voodoo doll, as well.)
  6. I305 was running really well during the nighttime ERT at East Coast Bash--best rides I've ever had on it. Lights-on Flight of Fear was fun, too.
  7. This one . . . . . . but at night!
  8. Tennessee Tornado is one of those rides that looks like it's going to be horrible and painful--but it's actually great!
  9. I think it unlikely that we'll see any new standups due to the issues others have already mentioned. There are only a few that I think are "good" (Riddler's Revenge and Georgia Scortcher in the U.S., and Milky Way at Mitsui Greenland in Japan).
  10. ^I agree that Knott's has made moves in the right direction--at least that was my impression at WCB two years ago. Something like Verbolten would be a great fit for Knott's, too.
  11. I think a giga coaster would be completely inappropriate for that park; hell, I think Silver Bullet was a bad choice for Knott's. A new dark ride, especially some sort of "Wild West" shooter, would be perfect. But that's just my personal preference.
  12. I think this sort of speculation is required five or six times a year by the state constitution.
  13. I assume you're referring to the old Kingdom of the Dinosaurs ride building. At WCB 2010, during the Q&A, we were told that the building was in pretty bad shape (as in, it's not safe enough to take anybody inside). I imagine they'd have to gut it and start over.
  14. According to rcdb, Cyclone at Dreamworld is 2,952' plus change, if anyone's curious.
  15. I imagine Colossos was rather crazy thanks to all that rain.
  16. Yeah, this is just a "standard issue" old Arrow. Tennessee Tornado is probably shorter (and probably better).
  17. Robb and Elissa, thanks for putting together another great East Coast Bash! The I305 nighttime ERT was insane, the BGW backstage tour was great, and it was excellent to have it in Virginia again!
  18. Always good to get another look at this wonderful project--thanks!
  19. ^Dominator was running quite well during evening ERT.
  20. The horror . . . the horror . . . Great, atmospheric shot, Hanno.
  21. I believe it was exorcised, and the ground it sat upon was sown with salt, then purged with fire. But that's just my theory.
  22. The two girls in front look very concerned.
  23. I agree. DHS is in a rut and could use a nice overahul. We shall see.
  24. ^Yeah, that's the thing. It's easy to tell other people how they should spend their money. Not a fan of Lutz, either.
  25. ^Hmm--this house is a bit more intriguing now. I usually enjoy the one "comedy" house Universal likes to throw in each year.
