  1. Last time I was there (2009) Millie ran great, but looked kinda bleh... I'm not too picky, paint fades. Although if I recall Millie got some new paint recently on the lift?
  2. For those of you, like myself, who don't want to upgrade from your iPhone 4 just to have Siri... I have news. If you are familiar with jailbreaking you should be able to port Siri to the iPhone 4, as shown in these videos. http://www.engadget.com/2011/10/15/siri-ported-to-an-iphone-4-old-phone-learns-a-new-trick/ I take care of my things and my iPhone 4 is still like new, and Siri is the only new feature I want. I will defiantly be porting this when it is released.
  3. No - To busy with school and work! I'll have to wait until next season. Have you ever used your smart phone to do dumb things?
  4. ^In short... 1) Get there EARLY! 2) Start at the back of the park and work your way to the front, try soak city entrance. 3) Bring snacks so you can take advantage of short lines during lunch / dinner hours. Have fun!
  5. I'm in love! I have a feeling that this will become many people's new #1 invert.
  6. In a long line I'll lean on the handrail, but I usually never sit on them. An issue I see is children (and some "adults") treating the handrail like it's a jungle gym. Seriously... if you do that you look like a fool.
  7. Great job! The power tower model seems super realistic to me. How long does it take you to each model?
  8. ^^What is the status on that... I know Knoebels posted a POV with the new prototype chassis in june. I really want this thing to open, but I,m not holding my breath for a 2012 opening.
  9. I don't think the yellow will stand out any more than fehrenheit's orange track... In fact, I'm a huge fan of the Lamborghini yellow track
  10. I am not a moderator, but I would like to point out that there is a more appropriate forum for this. http://themeparkreview.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=3
  11. He was looking very, very bad at the time of his resignation last month. (TMZ posted a picture last month) May he R.I.P, he is easily my favorite innovator of this century. Too young, too soon.
  12. ^As per apple's homepage. www.apple.com/stevejobs/
  13. With the state of the world economy it's refreshing to see somebody take on a project this big. And although I am surprised to see Paramount getting back in the game, I respect them for doing so. This project looks promising, but 2015 is still a long way off. A lot can change.
  14. Actual horror flick. Pulp fiction or a clockwork orange?
  15. Awesome TR! I'm giddy with excitement for next year's trips! Steeplechase, if it's anything like Motocoaster at Darien Lake, is deceptively fun. Thanks for posting.
  16. I was driving home from class and I saw this. Cool car I saw today.
  17. ^apologies. I suppose I misunderstood the article. Having never been to Thorpe Park I was unaware that these seats were already in place. Sorry about any misunderstanding.
  18. ^I would believe that would be true. In addition I don't see the point of having LIMs on a coaster that is blatantly gravity driven. Even Maverick's lift hill would be odd in my eyes if it were not for the second launch.
  19. I saw this today and thought it was interesting. Apparently Nemesis Inferno's trains will be getting "supersized" to accommodate larger guests. What does this mean, a row with three seats instead of four? Two seats? Link
  20. B&M could pull something out of that hat that we didn't even think of. Perhaps the 4-D system they put in place will not rely on a parallel rail system at all, who knows! I just keep thinking about this concept that was at IAPPA, where a parallel rail is on top of the track. With this system you could theoretically get limitless degrees of rotation.
  21. I have high hopes for the new trains! I have never ridden Deja, but look forward to possibly riding Goliath next year! Not so sure about the LIM/LSM thing though... not sure that it is even necessary. What's wrong with cable lifts?
  22. ^Wow, they must have been out there early.
  23. ^The Lego model of the Stratosphere tower was unexpected, and cool. The park is looking great!
