Since I seem to be scaring off people with the NCS, would people like if I allowed just Steelworks & Moby's Steel Jungle for supports? -

The rides can be anything you want them to be, just make them Intamin, and get creative! Oh, and for those who want to use a Wingrider CTR, Revolutionary Rides just released a fantastic one! -
Congratulations! You have been choosen by Intamin to help them design their newest coaster! Intamin would like you to design for them a thrilling coaster that people will never forget! You may choose any type of Intamin Coaster (past ie. Space Diver or present ie. Accelerator) to create in RCT3 in a small park that may include as many thrill ries as you like but only one coaster. (Two racing coasters are permitted) CTRs are allowed for this challenge, but no custom scenery is permitted! When you submit your design, include the download for the park, and the download for the CTR, to make sure I have it! There are CTRs for: Space Divers Giga/Hyper/Mega-Lites Vertical Lifts Wingriders (Revolutionary Rides Wingrider Recomened) CFRs (Custom Flat Rides) and Custom Stalls are allowed, as long as you send me a link to the download. Here are some good Intamin CTRs: Space Diver: http://www.mediafire.com/?d484tz9hzkkcc44 Wingrider: http://www.putmeonthenet.net/content/ImagineerJohn/website2/WingRider.html EGF/Mega Coaster: http://rctdb.com/custom-tracked-rides/expedition-geforce-ctr/ You have until Febuary 1st to compelete you design, and the winner will be announced the following Friday Night! How I will judge: Scenery/Surrounding Park: Since this challenge is NCS, I want to see how well you are at scenery, without add-ons. Make a scenic park along with the coaster, as it will increase your score. Maximum: 25/25 Coaster Design: I want an original layout, and some creative aspects thrown in. Things like prelifts, darkride sections, tunnels multiple launches etc. are welcome! I want to see originality! Maximum: 60/60 Overall Effort/Creativity: I want this to be creative, that's the main reason I made this challenge NCS. I want to see what you can do with the limited scenery at your disposal! Put some effort into it! Get creative! I will start accepting entries at any time, and if you would like to participate, please tell me below! Contestants: Ccron10 (dropped out) gci2011 (dropped out) deathbydinn paradisecoaster liftsifter Yamez Turned In tiger01 Turned In KI Kid Updates: -CFRs are allowed, along with Custom Stalls (must have link to download) -Since people seem to have trouble building NCS supports, I am allowing the use of ATH Catwalks +Steelworx and Moby's Steel Jungle v1 & v2 ONLY! Good luck! SCC Intamin Challenge.bmp Good Luck!

Hello, this is Alexander Knight, founder and owner of Bell Gardens in Rancho Santa Fe in California. I recently visited your park while seeing a friend in Boulder and was amazed at how much is has grown over the past few years! While your park opened as an amusement park, we opened ours as a garden park with a few carnival rides. I heard Anton had another big project this year besides the Revolution at Magic Mountain, is this the project he mentioned? This looks like the same track as our new coaster Kitanzi Which opened this past spring. I tried seeking you out to talk about our parks but alas, you were not available. -Alexander Knight, Owner of Bell Gardens -
I got: Goldeneye 007 + Special Edition Gold Classic Controller Pro For the Wii Several Lego Atlantis Sets, I asked for them, and I'm using them to attempt to create an omnimover Lego Atlantis Ride. $50 iTunes Gift Card Numerous Novels MexiCoke (Bottled Coca-Cola for Mexico) They use cane sugar instead of processed sugar so it's twice as good! And the Ultimatum, Airplane Tickets To Florida Next Summer, with the promise of four parks, USF, IOA, BGT, and SWO! I'm really excited! Chetah Hunt here I come!

Same. I third that notion. I never got to ride Big Bad Wolf, and I've never had the pleasure of going to BGW. I have however mangaged to ride Ninja and Iron Dragon and both, I thought were reat rides. People hate on Iron Dragon, saying it's boring etc. I actually found it to be quite enjoyable, as well as Ninja. I'm not the superhardcore rides all rides enthusiast, but I feel these rides were quite advanced for their time. And, to add to this, I have this video: This this BEAST of a ride, no reference intended was removed, did anyone rush to save it? As far as I've heard, it was an absolutely fantastic coaster, and it was torn down, seemingly without anyone complaining. I love Arrow Suspendeds, but I think BBW was just at the end of it's life span, just as Ninja one day will, same with Iron Dragon -SoCal "I rest my case" Coasters

Biggest Disappointment of 2010?
SoCalCoasters replied to SharkTums's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Here are a few of mine: Clutch Powers 3-D at Legoland California: Ok, I had really high hopes for this one as the other lego 3-D films have been fantastic, and have been able to tell they're story without the use of speech. This film seemed like a total afterthought of the lego full length version that was realesed with the park film. The story was really dumb, (they're all fighting each other to get a BOX) and the effects were not as good as past films from Lego. The Removal Of The Manatees At Sea World San Diego Really? Really? REALLY? Just why? We were given no reason for why they were moved back to Florida... Project Reef Runner Need I say ANY more? V2: Vertical Velocity SFDK Down for more than half the year, including the two times I went... Removal of Cobra at SFDK for a Starflyer Cobra has better still be somewhere in the park next season... San Francisco Giant Hey, I'm a Cali person, but many Texans are not going to be happy when they arrive at Six Flags Over Texas one day next year and find the Texas Giant has been turned into the name of the team who defeated them in the World Series for a day. Those are the ones I think are the biggest irks of 10' -

Mr. Heart! So great to see you out here to watch Kitanzi test! Shot0203.bmp Something new dominates the back of the park across the new railroad track bridge! Shot0204.bmp Getting closer to the beast! Shot0205.bmp I present to you: Kitanzi Shot0206.bmp There it goes, through the first loop! Shot0207.bmp Being able to walk under the ride and not being a staff member is pretty interesting don't you think? Shot0208.bmp Here it comes after the second set of Block Brakes! Shot0209.bmp Around the banked turn! Shot0210.bmp Through the final curves! Shot0211.bmp The brake run allows for 3-4 trains to run at oce. Once the work shed has been compeleted, we'll be able to run that many! Shot0212.bmp This ride is quite massive! I love how each loop is a different color! Shot0213.bmp Here's the ride from the outskirts of the park! Shot0214.bmp he view from the Block Brakes is very different, and gets you up close and personal with the ride! The Rumor / Crazy Idea Superthread
SoCalCoasters replied to Wes's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Just got back from TRON: Legacy.... Let me be the first to say... A Disney Attraction Isn't Far Behind. This movie was made to become a ride, and I've been told by several cast members, that a TRON attraction is in the works, and that if the movie does well, (trust me when I say YES) that will be the green light for an offical announcement... Look at ElecTRONica! Is it not meant for the movie's hype? I've heard it's been quite popular... The word Lighcycles has been thrown around, people saying it would be the only fitting way to experience the TRON Universe. The words Vekoma have come to the minds of most, but, I have a different idea. There is rumored to be a MACK Launcher coming to SoCal within the next few years. When do Disney, and long term planning not go together? Then again, Sea World has had the "Project Reef Runner" in the works for quite a few years now... -SoCal "Spinning the rumon mill round and round" Coasters But one thing that I can't deny is that TRON is going to appear in a Disney Park in the future. -
The End Club Duel from TRON: Legacy. Has to be the most awesome sword/disc fight I've seen. The Daft Punk music makes it even more "electifying" to quote a TRON Character. This is a Disney film worth seeing!
