  1. I told myself that I can't do a trip this year because I need to catch up on some money. And now you've gone and posted the trips, and now I'm getting all these silly ideas. I'm debating on doing the questionaire because I don't know if anything's possible or not.
  2. ^^^The park is totally worth the drive time. The atmosphere is unlike any other, and each coaster is incredible in its own sense. DarKastle is a must ride as well. And with SFA and Kings Dominion, you're really not missing anything. Sure they seem to have some nice looking coasters, but there isn't anything all that incredible, and the atmosphere sucks...
  3. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA "No really. He bought that." And I'm wearing it to my college orientation in a few days. Those first impressions, you know. I wish we were all still there. You and Kerry coming along for a few days I think really made the trip.
  4. Nice pictures! That sucks that Boomerang was closed for you, it's not all that rough as far as Boomerang's go. And I'll agree with you that Mind Eraser isn't too bad. Did you ride Predator in the front at all? The ride has GREATLY improved over what it used to be. I find a front seat ride to be totally enjoyable. No, it's no Boulderdash, but it's fun. ^^^^Viper is a great ride, but I still think Tennesee Tornado has the edge. -Nick
  5. For some reason I guess I missed your update last week, so, a few things. I like the cheerful elderly floating head behind Dave in the Dollywood Bakery. I was certain I was going to die during the "Running of Thunderhead ERT". A herd of people sprinting down stairs/uncontrollable laughing isn't a good combination. Thank you for posting the Skyscraper photos where I look like I'm crying. Love the captions. And Oli, Jason went on the one at Carowinds! Not too huge, but it's a step :].
  6. Way to take creepy stalker Afterburner queue pictures. Thanks for doing this TR, and thanks for almost killing me with shock when you showed up.
  7. Thanks for the photos! I really love SFNE, it might be my favorite Six Flags park. It's such a beautiful place, and while it doesn't have a huge amount of coasters, what they do have are some really great ones. And about the photo order, just follow the uploading directions and put them in the order you want them to appear. When you preview, it does flip them to make it look backwards, but when you post, they'll be right again.
  8. I've only been on Steel Force, but I thought it was a really fun ride. Something about big hyper coasters with inner guide wheels intrigues me. I don't know why, I just think the track/trains are interesting. So, I like Morgan (Even though I've yet to ride a few more).
  9. Pigeon Forge was such an awesome place. I love gimmicky touristy stuff.
  10. Who doesn't like a fine boob pudding?
  11. Rather than trying to sound cool over the fact that you get larger tornados near you, why not just acknowledge the fact that a tornado of any sort is rare in this area, therefore making it something to talk about.
  12. ^^^Agreed. It's quite bizarre. I think this movie looks pretty interesting. Some of my friends are doubting it's quality compared to something like Juno, but I'm curious about it. I hope it turns out to be another winner.
  13. Many, many parks do have upcharge attractions (the most popular I believe being the Skycoaster). And why shouldn't they cost extra? They're run by independent companies, and are extremely low capacity and time consuming rides. So what, would it be better to spread the cost out over everyone's general admission ticket, and open the ride to the public? Compared to the people that paid for the park ticket, hardly any of them would have a chance to ride it. It's a special feature ride.
  14. If your decision is still somewhat up in the air, I'd go for SFNE/Lake Compounce. Yeah, Gadv has some really great rides, but so do the other parks, plus they have incredible atmospheres. SFNE is beautiful, and has some really intense coasters. Even both of the woodies are awesome. Cyclone in the back has the strongest air I've ever experienced. And Thunderbolt has some great air amplified by the skimpy restraints. Lake Compounce is wonderful. It's such a beautiful and comfortable park to walk around in, the setting is perfect. As far as coasters, Boulderdash is my number one, overall (And I've ridden everything at Gadv). The front seat at night is a must. The other wooden coaster, Wildcat, can be pretty bad, but if you sit in a non-wheel seat it's fun. And the boomerang there is also the smoothest I've been on. Aside from that, the park has neat flats, like an S&S Screamin' Swing, a drop tower, and one of those rotary pits where the floor drops (I can't think of the technical name). The overall park experiences of both of these parks I think excedes Gadv. But if you go there, you're still going to have an awesome time.
  15. Where does the ride go after the lift hill? I was assuming it just went up into the station but in the video it looks like it brings you higher than it...
  16. ^Intamin's newer coasters with cable lifts such as T Express or El Toro aren't directly out of the station, I'm sure they can do that with a steel coaster as well.
  17. I searched "screen names" and found this on the second page. http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1663&highlight=screen+name
  18. This sounds interesting. Where is it? It says "during the English civil war", so I'll assume England, but I was wondering if anyone had anything more specific.
  19. A few years ago, I thought I remember a story of a young boy being found inside the pump system of a wave pool after getting pulled in and drowing. I want to say it was in a different country. But I'm not sure. Wave pools are scary.
  20. ^^I know what you're talking about, I have an older Cedar Point video that walks the camera to the end of the line, counting up the time the further back they go, and it gets to the last kid and says something like *HE'S WAITING THREE AND A HALF HOURS!!!*.
  21. I Like Big Butts In My Pants.
  22. How was the log flume? It was closed when we were there for the East Coast Trip, I was bummed. I didn't realize how beautifully lit Great White is at night. There are some pretty cool pictures here. Thanks for posting.
  23. You stole a loaf of bread before you were one? I voted.
  24. I like the song Boom Boom Pow. So I thought this would be interesting. It was alright, I guess I'm just not into remixes a whole lot. Might I suggest making a thread with all of your musical endeavors as opposed to one for every remix.
  25. ^^^That's great everything worked out for ya! And your teeth are incredibly white.
