  1. After not doing doing the poll last year, and having more coaster's under my belt this time around, I was excited to get them all sorted out. My list would probably be at about 10 if it wasn't for TPR trips! I ranked everything with a 1-10, then took those groups and gave them their own number. Boulderdash is still awesome. I also got to ride Ravine Flyer II for the first time since the film shoot before the ride opened, and was blown away. Still so smooth and full of air. I surprisingly made it to Michigan's Adventure, and Shivering Timbers was unexpectedly excellent. After such a buildup for the Voyage over the years, I feel weird seeing it behind the others. But finally getting to ride it, I really just wasn't blown away. It was good. A long and unique ride with tons of air, but slightly too rough for me. And I tend to like rough. Favorite Steel (X2) 1) Boulderdash - Lake Compounce 2) Ravine Flyer II - Waldameer 3) Prowler - Worlds of Fun 4) El Toro - SFGadv 5) Shivering Timbers - Michigan’s Adventure 6) The Voyage - Holiday World 7) Renegade - Valleyfair! 8) Phoenix - Knoebel’s 9) Thunderhead - Dollywood 10) Evel Knievel - SFStLouis 11) Rampage - Alabama Adventure 12) Hades - Mount Olympus 13) Viper - SFGam 14) Cyclone - SFNE 15) Cornball Express - Indiana Beach 16) Cyclops - Mount Olympus 17) Lightning Racer (Lightning) - Hershey Park 18) Lightning Racer (Thunder) - Hershey Park 19) Raven - Holiday World 20) Outlaw - Adventureland 21) Terminator Salvation - SFMM 22) Blue Streak - Cedar Point 23) Thunderhawk - Dorney Park 24) Avalanche - Timber Falls 25) Blue Streak - Conneaut Lake Park 26) Twister - Knoebel’s 27) Timberwolf - Worlds of Fun 28) Georgia Cyclone - SFOG 29) Cannonball - Lake Winnie 30) American Eagle - SFGam 31) Le Monstre - SF La Ronde 32) Predator - Darien Lake 33) Cyclone - Astroland 34) Thunderbolt - SFNE 35) Wolverine Wildcat - Michigan’s Adventure 36) Mighty Canadian Mine Buster - Canada’s Wonderland 37) GASM - SFOG 38) Thunder Road - Carowinds 39) Wildebeast - Canada’s Wonderland 40) Yankee Cannonball - Canobie Lake 41) Comet - Waldameer 42) Zeus - Mount Olympus 43) Pegasus - Mount Olympus 44) Ghoster Coaster - Canada’s Wonderland 45) Fairly Odd Coaster - Carowinds 46) Scooby Doo - Kings Dominion 47) Zach’s Zoomer - Michigan’s Adventure 48) The Boss - SFStLouis 49) Ghost Rider - Knott’s 50) Colossus - SFMM 51)The Legend - Holiday World 52) The Grizzly - Kings Dominion 53) Wildcat - Lake Compounce 54) Tornado - Adventureland 55) Wild One - SFA 56) Comet - Hershey Park 57) Rolling Thunder - SFGadv 58) Thunder Run - Kentucky Kingdom 59) Hell Cat - Clementon 60) Hurler - Carowinds 61) Dragon Coaster - Rye Playland 62) Wildcat - Hershey Park 63) Roar - SFA 64) Screamin’ Eagle - SFStLouis 65) High Roller - Valleyfair! 66) LoCoSuMo - Indiana Beach 67) Underground - Adventureland 68) Mean Streak - Cedar Point 69) Jack Rabbit - Seabreeze 70) Hurler - Kings Dominion 71) Twisted Twins (Stella) - Kentucky Kingdom 72) Rebel Yell - Kings Dominion 73) Hoosier Hurricane - Indiana Beach
  2. I hope they keep the trains without a grid type thing in the front, I'd love to ride just hanging over the front like that. Also, while I know Millenium Flyers allow for better maneuvering and altogether a better ride, some rides with them seem a bit harsh with every seat being a wheel seat, where at least with PTC's, the first row of each car has your arse over the center. So hopefully the ride has been smoothed out, and then these will help keep it smoothed. Looking forward to riding it hopefully in the fall.
  3. I do like the Yellow around Theme Park Review. And I like the idea of the tagline, but honestly feel it's a little wordy. While I know you want to make sure both theme parks and roller coasters is said, I think that contributes to the wordy feeling, as does saying "we" twice. Maybe "We love Theme Parks and Roller Coasters, but just have a funny way of showing it!" I dunno. It is hard to come up with something different.
  4. 7 Hours and 50 minutes to go! Everyone in my group is "sleeping". It's like being in a terminal in the middle of the night. edit: I went to close the tab after I posted, but I closed the claw!
  5. Ughhh, totally had a spot in line like 10 minutes ago, but got out because I wanted to try to change my name. And now the line is full.
  6. While these look really good, based off the pictures they look like "preformed" patties. If that's true then that kills it for me. I'd rather eat a fresh meat, hand pattied burger with salt and pepper than a jazzed up preformed one.
  7. Such awesome pictures! I really need to go skiing someplace other than our rinky dink mountain.
  8. BBW was pretty cool. I totally like Arrow stuff anyway though, and the suspended concept as well. NIght ERT was fun on it. I also sort of saw it as a BGE "staple" (even though I was only at the park once). But riding Vortex at Canada's Wonderland this past fall totally blew any memory of BBW away.
  9. Hahahahaha!! These just made my night!
  10. Usually when you see rides sitting abandoned someplace, they're actually old rides. It's weird to see such a perfect looking GCI wasted. It's unfortunate that it's been wasted. Hopefully one day it'll end up somewhere.
  11. Soooooooooo a POV of the ride in No Limits or something? The ride still seems a bit unfinished to run a train...
  12. It's so ridiculous looking, I just can't picture it "working." Usually I can imagine a train running along the tracks, but this just doesn't look right. Not saying it won't work, it just looks so abnormal for a wooden (structured) coaster. I ought to make a nice little Texas trip next year.
  13. This looks like some messed up train station, I can't believe how much track is shoved together. Can't wait to see this in action!
  14. This is such an interesting event and the updates were excellent. Thanks so much for all the coverage!
  15. Work a ton, attend college, plan trips for the upcoming year.
  16. I love this kind of stuff. I had no idea they had that big of a woodie. (lolz) Thanks for the pictures Kevin!
  17. Sounds like a personal massager. You know me too well.
  18. I want this in my backyard. A cute little Intamin rocket.
  19. This sounds really nice, and a good way to round out the park. Waldameer is one of my favorites. It's just a cute park with some good rides (OMFG drop tower) and one of my favorite coasters. I'll have to make a trip back next year.
  20. No, he came back as a random fad amongst high school kids. If it's yellow should it mellow?
  21. It really would be an excellent spot for something like that. To be able to see yourself level with this massive roller coaster would really amp up the effect I think.
  22. I still haven't been on an inverted boomerang or a giant inverted boomerang, but I quite like the flying dutchmen rides. Sure, they don't feel like flying when you're bouncing all over, but those rides have some pretty cool maneuvers. And I really don't mind a decent SLC. I've ridden my share of dreadful ones, but a smooth one is really an excellent ride.
  23. Pictures like this are basically just telling me that it's not only an option, but a requirement to go on the China 2012 trip. My change jar is filling up.
