  1. Simple question: what's your all time favourite ride soundtrack (from the past or the present)? I'm still in love with this one: Space Mountain: De La Terre à La Lune. Hopefully, it shall return in 2015!
  2. Source: pretparken.be and Ameworld.net Does this confirmes that the new 'World First' ride will be a new Water Ride concept for Walibi Belgium in 2016? Some people think it will be the first 'Drop N' Splash' ride of Mack. But other rumors talk about a new watercoaster concept (Mack Rides once said that they will make a new type of watercoaster). Some people even say that (of course, fanmade rumors) it will be the first watercoaster with an inversion... For now, we can only guess what it will be. The park will give us an update soon (hopefully) Drop 'N Splash ride, seen on IAAPA in 2013 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sxc0ab8C5Do
  3. New ride in 2016 Walibi Belgium confirmed today at its fanday that they will build a new ride in 2016. They also mentioned the builder: Mack Rides. Also, it will be a world first and innovative ride. More info soon to come...
  4. Name of the new Dive Coaster announced: Baron 1898! Also, finally some concept arts: Station building The trains will be similar to the ones at Heide-Park in Germany (6x3) and it will have two in/unload stations, something like Oblivion in Alton Towers. Thanks to the construction update movies of the Efteling!:
  5. Halloween 2014: Zombies VS Vampires! This year, the Halloween story continues and expands even more! Some facts in a row: Characters: * Marva, Russian/Belgian trapeze-artist, zombie * Annoushka: Russian restaurant manager, cousin from Marva, both in a huge fight, vampire * Igor: Vampire professor, manager of the Asylum, wants to create a new species: a crossover between a vampire and a zombie. * + 150 zombies and vampires in haunted houses and across the park. Scare Zones: * Cyborg Area (near Project Z, army style) * Walk of Death (tunnel between two zones with actors and lighteffects) * Asylum Garden * Transsylvania * Kids Halloween Haunted Houses: * Toxic River - Free * Walibi Secret 3D (with scare-actors)- Free * Virus-Z1 (16+) - Free * Project Z (16+) - Free * Villa 13 (16+) - €5 during late night openings, €3 on normal days * New 2014:Asylum (16+) - €5 The new haunted house for 2014 will be located at the former location from Insomnia, which is at the parks dodgems. Igor, the Vampire professor lives in this old Asylum and wants to create somekind of Hybrids, a crossover between Vampires and Zombies. * Panic House 4D-movie (16+) - Free Extra's: * 7 late night openings * Finale Show every late night opening * Zombie Bar (little bar in the center of the lake, only for RIP Pass owners) * Zombie Dinner Experience (every late night opening) Some construction pictures: Concept art of Asylum Zombie Bar Project Z entrance Walk of Death Some videos: Premovie: Zombie Dinner (of last year). It's going to be bigger and better now: Thanks to Kristof of Coasterforce and Walibi Belgium for the info! Only 4 more days! I will do a small photo Tripreport about it .
  6. It's confirmed, Space Mountain Mission 2 will close it's gates for nearly 6 months, starting from the 12 of January. The ride gets some brand new Vekoma mk1212 trains (more comfort and better speakers) and rumors say that they will return it to it's 'mission 1' state (the old and epic onboard sountrack, old theming, old queue,...). The ride will be 20 years old in 2015.
  7. Rumors say that The Walt Disney Company is about to buy all shares of 'Euro Disney' (they always owned only 40 % of al the shares). Upcoming monday, there is a crisis meeting with all the shareholders about the financial state of Euro Disney. Here is the Dutch article (will someone Dutch please translate all of it, because my English isn't that good, like you can tell ). Source: http://www.tijd.be/detail.art?a=9552195&n=3077&ckc=1
  8. New attraction (plausible wooden coaster) for Plopsaland de Panne in 2016 Themepark.nl, a Dutch fansite, visited Plopsa Indoor Coevoerden for a small meeting. They had a q&a session with the parks managers. One of the questions was if 'De Vleermuis' (The Bat in English) of Plopsaland De Panne will be relocated to Coevoerden (because the CEO already confirmed that this coaster(s) will be relocated in 2015). The manager responded that this ride will be located in Coevoerden or the park in Coo, that isn't decided yet. BUT, Plopsaland de Panne will be replacing this coaster(s) for a brand new attraction, hopefully, in 2016. Everything depends on the brand new, soon to be build, hotel in 2016. So, I think we can suspect that the new ride will be opening in summer 2016. They mentioned that it is plausible that it will be a new wooden coaster, but nothing is officially confirmed. Can we expect a new woodie, or just another (highly themed) flatride? Time will tell...
  9. Does the bolded part above mean the Olympia Looping will be in Munich in 2015 or not? I don't speak German so I'm not sure how to interpret the translation. This could have a big influence on whether I go this year or next year. I'd prefer to go in 2015 so I have a lot more time to plan and prepare. Going this year (in a month and a half!) would almost be an emergency planning thing. I'm not sure I'll be able to go this year actually. Normally, yes. O god, I'm a European guy and I've never ridden it before, for shame! And I just missed Düren! Düsseldorf (or Herne) in 2015, check!
  10. Source: http://corporate.disneylandparis.com/CORP/EN/Neutral/Images/uk-2014-08-01-Philippe-Gas-Tom-Wolber.pdf One of the many steps the Disney Company is taking after they bought almost all the stocks of the French resort in 2012/2013. Can we finally expect a major overhaul?
  11. LOL, in my personal opinion, Walibi Belgium isn't that bad as many people say it is. I think it's better then Bobbejaanland... It has much more to offer and the operations are far the best in Belgium (no, it isn't the same as some years ago. The staff is fast and very friendly). Plus some very interesting rides like Challenge of Tutankhamon , Psyké Underground, Loup Garou and Radja River. And 2 big kids areas... Question to OP: when are going? Walibi Belgium offers a lower price during week times and for the month July, Aqualibi, the parks waterpark, is completely free for guest of Walibi Belgium! Just so you know if change your mind . But I also would recommend Plopsa instead of Bellewearde Park. Bellewearde is a cute little park, but is just to small (but you can easily combine it with a visit to Ieper for a guide tour about WOI (In Flanders Fields)). Plopsaland is nicely themed and Anubis is great.
  12. I mean, I get that a Speedo might be a little too revealing for a family water park, but calling the guy "queer" and threatening to arrest him was completely out of line. Simply asking him to change into a different swimsuit would've been the better choice. Lol what the f'ing... Since when is a Speedo something you can link to somebody who is homosexual? And since when is it 'revealing to much'? Little children wear this type of swimming outfit a lot and in some parts in Europe it's even obliged to wear it because it's much more hygienic then a normal short. Some people are just plain stupid...
  13. Belgium won from South Korea, so we won in our group! Next up: Belgium VS USA (1ste of July) !
  14. This ride was just ugly, but man the ride itself was quite awesome! I was one of the 'lucky' people who rode it back then and I thought it was an incredible experience! But it was just so... ugly ... And, off course, the ride system was crap and after 3 years the whole track was already pretty rusty thanks to the use of wrong materials...
  15. This is not the layout of the coaster, because this is just a concept-art/drawing from the time Oblivion in Alton Towers was designed and build (if I'm correct). This drawing was only for the patent of the B&M Divecoaster. I think we can expect something like Krake in Heide-Park.
  16. Is it actually open for everyone now, or is this a soft opening only? We will be there in about 10 days, so hoping it is open. The photos are from a soft opening. It isn't officially open yet, but some sites are claiming it will be officially open for public somewhere around 20 - 28 June. So hopefully it's open when you are there .
  17. Trees, god finally some trees . Seriously, no shade at all during summer, glad they learned to plant some. The water park looks OK, hopefully they will ad some more slides next season...
  18. Looks like a nice new Polin slides complex. I love Croatia (super cheap and oh so beautiful country) and this would be great to combine with a cultural trip...
  19. Hmm, if the park in Draper was possible, we definitely have the weather for that. Okay, Kickstarter project for a Cowabunga Bay project (aka Polin Heaven complex) in Europe anyone ? Now back to Vegas. I don't mind if the Water Playground is something for 2015, just curious if this awesome concept is coming to Vegas .
  20. I think the last one. Chance Rides will not deliver a ride that's unsafe I guess, so I think it's just to calm people down...
  21. I love this project and I can't understand why some trolls on facebook have to act that way. Some people just don't respect other people. Shane, you and your team are doing a great job and the waterpark looks outstandingly good. If something like this would be build in Belgium or Europe (sadly, we don't have the weather for that. But a Cowabunga Bay in Europe would be sweet *wink wink*), I would be so exited! I don't care that you had some delays. Like everybody mentioned before: every big project needs some time and gets delayed (Rome wasn't build in a day you know, lol imagine that). + this park is being build at a good speed now, it's real for crying out loud (remember al the big projects that never seen the daylight before...)! The trolls are basically spoil brats who aren't patient enough. This park looks and is awesome, I think you made yourself a goldmine in Vegas ! When I have the opportunity to visit Vegas (As a Euro-guy, Vegas is on my bucket list off course!), I would definitely visit Cowabunga Bay. Small question: is the Water playground , like the one in your park in Utah,Draper, coming to Vegas? I've seen it in the concept arts, but I haven't seen any construction of this structure yet .
  22. Yesterday, the new Arthur land was open for public, some kind of soft opening (nothing official). Finally, this place is opening up, can't wait to try it myself in July : Thanks to www.faz.net for the pictures! Full German article: http://www.faz.net/aktuell/technik-motor/umwelt-technik/neues-fahrgeschaeft-im-europapark-im-schwebeflug-durch-die-maerchenwelt-12967197.html The place looks beautiful !
