If the spider is something like a Black Widow or Brown Recluse: roaches. Non-venomous: spiders. Hornet nest in your attic or wasp nest above your front door?

Adventureland Long Island!
GwaziBSRider1 replied to milst1's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Thanks for the update, Martin! I made a special visit here to ride Hurricane before it was removed, but I unfortunately didn't have any time other than ride it and Ladybug and leave. I'm very excited to come back to ride Turbulence and see the rest of the park! -
I also have a few home parks: 1. Kennywood (what I consider to be my true home park) - A park I used to love going to a few times very summer has definitely lost is appeal for me in recent years. I didn't visit at all in 2014, and I only visited in 2013 because friends wanted to go and to check out Holiday Lights for the first time. Although there have been a few good additions lately, some of the existing, historical rides have not received the maintenance they deserve. I'm very optimistic that it will rebound, but for now, I'll keep visiting other parks. 2. Lakemont - Even though I enjoy this park, I can't justify frequent visits. I haven't been in three years, but I may make the trip to Altoona to marathon Skyliner again. Skyliner is really the only draw for me (although I will ride Leap the Dips), and I just don't feel the drive is worth it. 3. DelGrosso's - This was a "one and done" credit stop for me on the way back from Knoebels this year. I'm not going to drive up there just to ride a mediocre mouse and a damn Wacky Worm. 4. Idlewild - The Rollo Coaster was my first coaster, but I haven't been to the park in probably fifteen years just because of the lack of anything new. One of these days (and I've been saying this for three years), I'm going to go back for the memories. 5. Cedar Point (my "home away from home" park) - Hands down, I love Cedar Point. I've yet to grow tired of the place. My visits depend on what's new for the year. I went in 2013 twice for GateKeeper, and I'll be going up this year because of friends visiting the park (Rougarou doesn't excite me at all, honestly). If the 2016 rumor is true, I'll be there for that, too. In recent years, I've been visiting two years in a row and then a year off.

I'm looking at visiting the park on April 25. Am I right to assume that the crowds will be pretty light? -

What do you think of Fast Passes?
GwaziBSRider1 replied to K1ngdaKa88's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
In the past, I was one of the people against the idea of them...then I went on a TPR tour and got one for Canada's Wonderland. That was a godsend! I would have NEVER been able to ride everything in that park if it weren't for FastLane. I've been a convert ever since. Nowadays, I will only buy them if I know it's going to be crowded the day I'm visiting. I don't like to buy them ahead of time anymore after being screwed by a rain day at SFOG in 2013. I always do the research to see the price and the ride list, and I'll always keep the idea of buying one on the table. -

Weirdest Things The 'GP' Have Said

I don't know why GhostRider is on that list for rib injuries, but the Crystal Beach Cyclone isn't, when it had MANY more injuries that would have been very severe. Kingda Ka's placement on that list is truly from stupidity. I wonder when the list was made since it mentioned Ka was closed. -

Pretty sure you can get those processed at any Cedar Fair park. You must purchase and process at the same park. If you purchase your pass at CW and expect to process it at Cedar Point, you'll be turned away. This is true of Six Flags, SeaWorld, and other chains as well. -
Ocean Park Vietnam

Now that all of these coasters are in Vietnam...I can properly harass my mom about not taking me to Hard Rock Park when I asked in 2008 and 2009. -
CP or Bust: Trip Planning Advice Needed
GwaziBSRider1 replied to boldikus's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The only times I've ever had problems with Pittsburgh is when there's a heavier-than-usual amount of road construction, but I do try my best to avoid these times. I suppose SOME of the intersections in the city are a bit strange. I guess I'm just used to it because I always know where I'm going. It's a shame that most GPS devices will only give you directions to the park by taking you through Downtown. That being said, here are some directions to the park that avoid Downtown Pittsburgh. Take I-70 to Exit 46B onto PA-51 N toward Pittsburgh After several miles, you'll come to a bridge that crosses the Monongahela River. On the immediate other side of the bridge, take the exit to the right to merge onto Rt. 837 N toward Clairton. Continue on Rt. 837 until you see the signs for Kennywood's parking lot. Watch out for the following two intersections (I don't really know the exact locations, but I'll describe as best as possible): 1. There's a stop light at a turn with a gas station on the left and a tavern straight ahead. Make a right at this light, do not go straight! (You can't make a right-on-red at this light). 2. There's a bridge that says Rt.837 toward McKeesport and toward Duquesne. Be in the right lane toward Duquesne! Recommended way to go from Kennywood to Cedar Point: Make a left at the light out of the parking lot back onto Rt. 837 N. Continue past the Waterfront and Sandcastle. Turn right onto Rt. 885 N. Follow and merge onto I-376/US-22/US-30 W toward Downtown. Continue onto I-279 N. This will lead you to I-79 N, which will take you to the Turnpike (I-76 W). -

CP or Bust: Trip Planning Advice Needed
GwaziBSRider1 replied to boldikus's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
This is very exaggerated. The problem with Pittsburgh's roads right now is the large amount of construction going on at the moment. Yes, it is somewhat complicated due to the three rivers and Mount Washington, but it's one of the EASIEST cities I've ever navigated. Not to sound rude, but the GPS you were using obviously wasn't very good. -

I wouldn't call it skippable, but I don't agree that it's their best. It's fun and fits in great with Kennywood, but it just seems to be missing something. I don't understand that slow trick track at the end, either. Very front and very back are the best two seats on the ride. -

Umm...the Morgan hypers all fit in that category. Granted, there's not as much airtime as a B&M or Intamin mega coaster, but there's still quite a bit. Maybe you actually ride Mamba, Steel Force, or Wild Thing before you write them off. -
