  1. Granted, but you die a few minutes later. I wish, I wish upon a fish.
  2. I'm definitely not a Disney expert, but I'd definitely change those FP+ reservations. I went this time last year, and AK was pretty much dead at opening, but got pretty crowded about an hour after opening. If you follow the Safari-Everest-Dinosaur plan, you should easily be able to do that fairly quickly. Personally, I'd use your FP+ for TOT, Rock n' Roller Coaster, and Toy Story. That way, you can hammer out DHS quickly and have plenty of time to enjoy Magic Kingdom.
  3. Now that the new land deal has finally come through, there's a lot more credibility to new, big things for Kennywood. I remember at an ACE event about ten years ago now, the park discussed several ideas for the new land. They kept stressing that their next coaster would be a steel coaster with inversions, which they held true with Sky Rocket. Other possibilities included a new indoor coaster, a second racing wooden coaster, and a large collection of new flat rides. Personally, I'd love to see them build another racing coaster, preferably a mobius one!
  4. True. The person below me does not like Mexican food.
  5. Either take a lesson at the resort's ski school or have a friend/family member teach you if one of them knows how to ski and is comfortable teaching you. It can take a little time to get the hang of it, but it's a lot of fun once you do! (and it's much better than snowboarding )
  6. Sorry to break the Grona Lund chain... Lil' Phantom - Kennywood
  7. The first thing that comes to mind for me is Hersheypark. The traffic jams trying to get into their parking lot get INSANE. The issue is that Hersheypark, Hershey's Chocolate World, the Giant Center, and Hershey Stadium ALL share the same, general parking area. Everybody goes through the same entrance, and the lot splits into sub-sections for the respective attractions. When I visited Hershey in October, there was a 1.5-2 mile jam for us to get into the park. The jam never really died down at all and it was (seemingly) in all directions.
  8. There's been a rumor of this exact thing floating around for several years now. There are a few places they could build a parking garage, but I'd be surprised to see it happen.
  9. Thanks again, Anti-Vaxxers! I hope you're all pleased with yourselves....
  10. One easy way they can turn an already great flat into an amazing one: speed up Cedar Downs. The other one at Rye Playland is so much faster than Cedar Point's. If the horses still "raced" on theirs, it would blow Cedar Point's away.
  11. I would love Cedar Point to have a dark ride, too, but I'd be surprised to see one instead of the Dive Coaster in 2016. Also, I could tell the article wasn't from a good source when I had to answer a question about smartphones in order to read it...
  12. I get to calculate fill volumes for 90 large cross-sections...yay for me...
  13. Black Widow at Kennywood is another one, although it's the Zamperla version.
  14. Busch Gardens Williamsburg has been planned beautifully. You have the main loop, the shortcut between Heatherdowns and Rhinefest (even if it does involve a crap ton of stairs), and then the railroad and sky ride operating in opposite directions of one another. I suppose there are only two terrible things about the park layout: 1. Festa Italia only having one path in and out of the area. Though, the railroad does help alleviate the bottleneck. It'll really be put to the test this year with two headliners now. 2. The main loop kind of disappears in Rhinefest. It can be difficult getting to Alpengeist and the New France and Aquitaine areas if you're not sure where you're going.
  15. a Monty Python's Flying Circus marathon! It cut right to Pantomime Princess Margaret in a life or death struggle with her breakfast. The unsuspecting breakfast strolled by, she fired her harpoon, and it hit right in the toast! But the joy of a fake princess stomping on her breakfast didn't last long. A terrible commercial came on for...
  16. Granted, but you don't actually get to watch a movie! I wish I didn't have to scrape snow off my car every morning.
  17. Flight of Fear - Kings Island
  18. Man, I've got to get down to Mexico again to ride Medusa Steel....
  19. Instead of having the effect of falling off the side of the track, this one just slams you around senselessly. There's a reason they never made another one like it!
  20. You most certainly had an epic summer! I've never been to Boston, but your trip report makes me very eager to visit. I rode it in late August, so I probably rode it after you did.
  21. They're the only two parks outside of the US that Six Flags still owns. Knott's Berry Farm and Six Flags Mexico
  22. False. This winter. The person below me will be riding a coaster within the next month.
  23. Yankee Cannonball - Canobie Lake
  24. Asking to walk on the coasters is a bit much, honestly. I think a great event for VF would consist of morning and night ERT, a catered lunch and/or dinner, photo walk-backs of a coaster or two, and maybe a Q&A with some of the higher-ups. Don't forget some of the perks, too, like free parking, discounted or free FastLane, free soft drinks, and discounts on premium rides. If they held the event in the Fall, they could even possibly do a Haunt construction tour.
  25. About 20 degrees with 3-4 inches of snow on the ground.
